Dungeon Raider System-Chapter 199: The bird people
The group arrived at the second world and just like the soldiers, they took a few minutes to admire the beauty of the scenery and to breathe the pristine breeze that struck their faces. Being in an open space with bright light also eased the claustrophobic sense they had been experiencing before.
The cloudy fog at ground level was beautiful but it was nothing compared to the cliffs and ridges that made it seem as though they were sky islands that extended as far as the eye could see. Stay tuned to novelbuddy
But that limitation didn’t Apply to Sam who wasn’t called the Lightbringer for nothing.
"There’s people over there. No, wait, they’re soldiers accompanied by cryptids! We need to hurry!"
"Are they in trouble?" Janett asked.
"No, but we need to hurry!" Sam shook his head and proceeded to walk with a wide smile without ever taking his eyes from the far distance.
"He’s acting weird." Nika pointed towards Sam with her chin.
"That’s the face he makes everytime he sees boobs," Luna calmly said and then continued. "He’s always making that face when he peeps from a distance."
"Using traits for such lowly purposes is a felony!" Janett exclaimed offended.

Although Uriel agreed with her, he couldn’t keep himself from chuckling at the thought that Sam acquired the perfect trait for his character. Then, his laughter died as soon as he realized that his trait too fitted him perfectly.
"Nika, what is Jon’s trait?"
"If you’re thinking what I’m thinking, stop. He’ll hand your ass over to you on a platter before you could blink."
"No, that’s not it. Luna..."
"No." She replied with her usual pokerface.
"Guys, we have a problem I can’t see the bottom." Sam stopped everyone at the edge of the cliff while holding a pale expression on his face..
"I think we can reach the next island if we take a little impulse and at least now we know falling means death."
Janett was speechless already at their insanity, but then she started questioning herself thinking that maybe it was common sense and it was on her. After all, how could it be possible that even a little child like Luna remained so calm. She then vowed to remain calm no matter what happened but her resolve lasted until Nika started throwing them like they were baggage to the next ’island’.
"N-no! Wait! I said waiiiiit" Janett shouted as she flew towards the next place where she was caught by Sam. "Thanks, you can put me in the ground now." Janett thanked the young hunter who, reluctantly, removed the hand he ’accidentally’ placed on her bottom without her noticing because of the adrenaline.
When she finally came to her senses, she noticed that Nika was already standing next to Uriel but she didn’t jump.
One by one, they leaped from island to island until they reached the one in the middle where the cryptid’s village was located. The village itself was nothing much, it was about fifty huts built mostly with straw and twigs, yet everyone was shocked at the scene unfolding at its center where all the soldiers were gathered, though their uniforms were nowhere to be seen.
Everyone was stark naked and engaging in all sorts of ’adult activities’ with the bird-like people in some sort of mating frenzy.
"So that’s what got Sam so excited." Uriel sighed.
"Uh? No, I just... ok, fine, I admit it!" Sam gave up on trying to convince them since they knew him too well to believe him anyways. "Do you think it’s safe to... you know, join them?"
"Not really... I mean, it should be safe. I didn’t read much of David Crockett’s diary, but going by the Apache mythology everything should be fine unless someone tries to sleep with the wife of the swallow chief."
"So, who is the chief’s wife?" Sam asked.
"Wait, you’re really considering it!?" Uriel was shocked. "Those are cryptids!"
"I know but... they’re hot. Besides, look at them, they’re all going at it."
"You’ve stooped to a whole new level of low, Sam." Uriel shook his head.
"I don’t think so," Luna said, surprising everyone in the party. "I think it’s healthy to explore the boundaries of one’s tastes."
"So, what should we do?" Nika asked with a wry smile trying to erase Luna’s statement from her mind. It wasn’t that she didn’t agree, but she didn’t want to picture the cute Luna ’exploring her boundaries’.
"In the Apache mythology these people are called ’air spirits’. Their hearts are pure and have good intentions, but they’re not that smart."
"I was talking about them." Nika pointed towards the frenzied soldiers that were still going at it without even noticing their presence. The scene seemed taken directly from a pornographic site, but even then, there was so many people involved in those shameless acts that it was shocking to say the least.
"I would say we just need to move on to the next world and leave them behind but there’s a problem. I’m not that well versed in mythology because it’s just one of the objects of study of my field, but I think all the tales about the air spirit people end in humans being exiled after one of them tried something with the swallow chief’s wife."
"I offer myself as a tribute!" Sam quickly took a step forward with a determined look. Even though the air people were cryptids, they looked like angels and even the less alluring among them was leagues beyond regular people.
Sam’s voice was too loud and their party was spotted by the same swallow woman that led Ethan towards the village. She didn’t look scared or surprised by their presence and she walked towards them swaying her hips in a soft motion until she was right in front of the party, then she stopped and examined them looking for the leader.
Her eyes drifted from person to person, until her eyes met Nika’s. She then bowed in front of the heavenly rank huntress and led everyone inside the village
"Hah! She has a keen eye!" Nika said jokingly, though her smile disappeared once she saw the true extent of the perversions being committed by the soldiers. Even Sam seemed to be disgusted by the scene and he lost all of his ’appetite’. "This is so wrong..."
"Did you notice it too? There’s no men in their tribe!" Sam pointed out the fact that, among all of the air spirit people, every single one was female.
"No," Nika shook her head. "Where are the female soldiers?"
