Dungeon Overlord: Monster Girl Harem!-Chapter 107: Execution... Dungeon Union.
Leonhardt's anger faded once he got the revenge, but knowing that he almost destroyed himself during that moment of white rage made him concerned. The lack of response from Ifrit only reinforced his worries.
"Is there something on your mind, Master?"
When in her combat form, he noticed that Zafira also spoke politely, not getting clingy or flirting with him.
At first, they argued and didn't get along, but as they got to know each other and understood things better, it made him more attached to the succubus.
"I just wonder if I've done something that upset you, killing a demon."
"How could that upset me?!"
A tone as if she never doubted him—even if he massacred her race, she would be fine.
"You're their princess, right?"
Zafira didn't respond as silence fell between them with the distant wind wrapping around the trees creating a low howl that seemed to comfort both.
"I am your aide, Master."
Her answer was straightforward: she had no intention of taking that role on while he kept her beside him.
"And I am your dungeon master."
"..."
They both felt the same way when looking at each other.
Everything became simple and easier to deal with when they were together.
So, hearing that she wasn't angry about the demon and referring to herself as his aide instead of the demon princess made Leonhardt feel relieved.
However, he became curious and a little jealous.
"This guy said you were his woman, and he was going to marry you... what's that about?"
"Hah!?"
Leonhardt's eyes opened wide at her sharp reaction.
A sharp voice with a gangster like tone that resembled people like Enzo, then a beautiful succubus.
"I'm sorry, Master... I didn't mean to sound harsh. The demon's like him, they only want me for the throne and nothing more, but even before I came here there was NO male or person that I had anything to do with... Even my father wouldn't force me into marriage so you DON'T have to worry."
She emphasised a few words with a sudden change in tone, as if to ensure that Leonhardt understood. Hearing this, Leonhardt let out a sigh, whether he noticed was unknown, but his lips curled, forming a smile, and his tone sounded happy.
"I see... good."
Zafira's eyes shone at his reaction, her wings fluttering to create a cool breeze that wafted through his messy hair.
"That's a pleasant breeze. Thanks Zafira."

Not long after, the lizards were dragged out of their hole by dozens of goblins.
Gobomir led them, carrying a plump and ugly lizard over his shoulder with a sharp glint in his eyes. Before throwing him like a piece of garbage, the fat lizard slammed into the ground and suddenly woke. Gobomir clearly tortured the monster, its face now black and purple, with torn and ragged scales peeling off its body.
"Good work."
"Now then... who is this piece of useless meat?" Leonhardt muttered, sitting on a black rock.
He gazed up and down and accepted the lizardman was at least three metres tall with broad shoulders and thick muscles.
"You! Are you the one that dared attack my—"
Gobomir's sword flashed, cutting open the lizardman's mouth with a clean slice, causing his mouth to gape, blood pouring from the sliced cheeks, causing Leonhardt's lips to tremble, forming a pleased smile.
"Nobody cares what you have to say, lizard. Can you see this?"
Leonhardt flicked a small green gemstone in his hand, rolling it.
"Ack!!!" The lizard tried to speak
"It is called a dungeon core... and I know how much you value your life, so here's my offer. One chance; you don't get to decline. Transfer the rights of your dungeon to me and I will let your kind survive."
'Go on accept, lizard.'
He had no intention of letting anyone go.
This monster would have wiped out his goblins, but if he didn't bite back, to make a deal with a demon and destroy the souls of his goblins took things too far. Leonhardt didn't do that to his lizards, allowing them to keep respawning.
Rather, he wouldn't have known this was possible until facing it himself.
That's why Leonhardt became furious at this event.
"Hmph!"
The lizard man's eyes filled with contempt and arrogance, and he spat at Leonhardt's feet. He refused to submit, his pride more important than his entire race.
"I see..."
Crack!
Before the Lizardman could even blink, Leonhardt crushed the core and then tossed the shards into the air, the breeze blowing them into the air before they fell over the stunned face of the Lizardman.
"Kill every one of them, make it painful... flay them, sheer the meat and feed the goblins! Have a feast even if you have no hunger!"
Leonhardt's order was simple and cut straight to the point.
The goblins became more normal thanks to his treatment; they ate and lived like wild goblins. Thanks to this, their souls changed and became free, and their loyalty to Leonhardt was not just through the dungeon system forcing them.
He gave them life, a place to live and take pride in, somewhere to relax and so...
This act was vengeance for the goblins and a lesson!
Eat the enemy, become stronger, and no one will bully you.
"My King, will you be joining us?"
Gobomir asked, kneeling with a hand over his chest, all the other goblins gazing with excited and hopeful eyes. To them, being a king wasn't just a name or a symbol. Leonhardt became something they genuinely worshiped.
"You call me your king, and these are our enemies! Of course, I will join in devouring their meat. Let us never forget this valuable lesson my children."
He didn't know when or why his mind and heart changed; maybe it was Gobomir's eyes of despair or their pure gaze of worship, but Leonhardt found more peace in becoming a Goblin King than he did as an adventurer or anything else.
That's why he pointed at the fat lizard, not humanoid but a strange lizard.
"I will eat the biggest part of their leader, then Gobomir and Gobbolas shall eat the rest!"
"Yeah!"
"Hail the King!"
"The King Brings glory!"
Zafira watched the goblins, a weak and pathetic race.
She once viewed them in such a manner until she began training them and watched all of them pushing through her harsh and unfair drills.
In a matter of weeks, they evolved, surpassed themselves.
Now they made her proud, though nothing compared to demons or monsters on the other side of the mountains. Zafira aimed first for them to surpass orcs, and lizardmen with the second race already wiped out.
"Gobomir, I will be leaving it to you to choose fifty goblins to join me in the west after I return from visiting the Human capital. I will leave in a week. For now, I will gift this dungeon to you goblins. Gobomir and Gobbolas will raise and improve the dungeon for our people!"
He wouldn't give ownership to them his trust wasn't that loose.
But like Zafira, he would grant them the ability to manage the north dungeon, like the Arachne in the south.

'Yes... it's taking shape. Soon, Astrea Basin will become the Embervale Basin!'
Leonhardt planned to have this second dungeon become a goblin city, a goblin kingdom... that seemed interesting.
But his true goal was a monster kingdom that accepted anyone willing to accept them.
Once again Zafira found her stomach churning with butterflies as she watched Leonhardt growing visibly before her. Even though she noticed Nyxara spying on him, she ignored it because of this sight...
It was one she often dreamed about.
