Chapter 170: Chapter 170: Inviting Male Models, Leading the Future Sister-in-law Astray

The moment the doorbell rang, Bella Woods’s expression changed instantly.

After all, Oliver Hughes had just called saying he wanted to come up, and there was no telling if he’d change his mind and come up anyway.

"You wait here for a moment."

Initially, Bella thought of blocking the kitchen, but it seemed too much trouble. In the end, she dragged Ashton Marshall into the adjacent storeroom, shutting the door behind him.

She didn’t forget to lock it.

After everything was settled, Bella finally walked over to the door and opened it.

"Surprise!" Calvin Marshall exclaimed, spreading his arms happily.

Bella was surprised. "Sixty, why are you here?"

"I came to take you out for some fun," Calvin said cheerfully. "We’re going to Joy Valley. There’s an event tonight, and you can feel some abs."

She kept winking at Bella as she spoke.

Feeling that words alone weren’t enough, Calvin pulled out her phone from her pocket and showed Bella a video.

She had fallen prey to these online videos, finding the NPC actors increasingly charming. Not only could you touch their faces, but you could also feel their abs.

After ordering too many male models at bars and finding their quality lacking, she wanted more light fare.

"We’ll walk around town, then go for makeup, and head out tonight," Calvin said, trying to drag Bella along, but Bella didn’t move.

"Why aren’t you moving? Don’t you want to go?" Calvin was puzzled.

"Because I’m still here," Ashton Marshall emerged and said leisurely.

Bella turned her head sharply and blurted out, "Didn’t I lock the door?"

As soon as she said it, she realized something was wrong and quickly covered her mouth.

Ashton raised the key in his hand and looked down at Bella with a meaningful and displeased expression, making Bella feel particularly guilty.

On one hand, she felt guilty, and on the other, she thought what she did was quite mean.

Previously, when Jade Patel and Rose Woods came over, she’d locked Ashton in the kitchen.

Now, she locked him in the storeroom.

Even an ordinary person would be upset by such treatment, let alone the dignified president of the Marshall Clan Group, who probably had never even been offended by a glance, let alone locked up.

Bella silently lowered her head.

"Third Young Master, you’re here?" Calvin sneaked a glance at Bella.

Her feelings were quite different from Bella’s; she wasn’t aware Bella had locked up Ashton; she was just worried about whether Ashton had overheard what she said earlier.

When she had taken Bella to Paradise World before, and then ran into Ashton, the look he gave her was always quite intimidating.

But now, facing Calvin’s awkward question, Ashton just gave her a glance. "Standing at the door isn’t tiring?"

He then walked towards the kitchen.

"Just in time, the finished product needs a judge."

Bella heard what Ashton said and immediately raised her head, pulling Calvin inside and shutting the door.

"Right, Sixty, you came just in time to be our judge."

"What kind of judge?" Calvin was confused.

She wasn’t interested in being a judge; she wanted to feel the NPC’s abs.

"We each made a cake, Third Young Master and I. You try and see whose appearance and taste are better."

"My third brother can bake a cake?" Calvin blurted out.

Then she looked at the two cakes on the kitchen counter and couldn’t quite believe it.

Pointing at the cakes, she looked at Bella, then at Ashton.

She’d rather believe both cakes were made by Bella than accept that her noble third brother could ever step off his pedestal.

"You have to be fair and impartial, Sixty."

Bella moved the two cakes in front of Calvin, then took plates and utensils from the drawer and handed them to her.

Ashton said nothing and just walked towards the bathroom.

And as soon as Ashton left, Calvin sat on a barstool, looking at Bella in disbelief. "Little Bella, how did you manage to get my third brother to bake a cake with you?"

Faced with this question, Bella really didn’t know how to answer.

How did she persuade Third Young Master to bake a cake with her?

It didn’t seem like much persuasion was needed; it just happened naturally as they talked and bought ingredients together.

Bella didn’t know how to explain, so she didn’t bother: "You try it, then pick the one with the better taste."

Just as she finished, Ashton came out of the bathroom, holding a warm towel in hand.

He walked over to Bella, turned her to face him, and used the towel to clean her face, wiping away the flour and cream.

After wiping, he dried his hands.

Throughout, Ashton remained silent, his face wasn’t exactly cold, but it was expressionless.

Bella stayed silent, letting Ashton take care of her.

On the other hand, Calvin, after getting over her shock, silently took out her phone to record the scene.

In the family chat, there wasn’t much worth sharing, but she really wanted to share this with her sister.

It’s just a pity that Bella and Ashton’s relationship wasn’t public yet.

Even though Calvin had never been in such a situation herself, she knew Bella was originally Oliver Hughes’s fiancée. Logically and emotionally, now being with Third Young Master, she’d be criticized.

People wouldn’t dare speak against Ashton but would speak against Bella, and even Cyan Marshall and the Hughes Family might face criticism.

Bella’s relationship wasn’t easy to make public.

"Taste test."

The man’s cold voice brought Calvin back to reality.

She quickly hid her phone: "Oh, right, need to taste, taste."

"Make sure to be serious and not biased," Bella reminded.

"She doesn’t know which cake is whose, so she can’t be biased," Ashton said lightly and tossed the towel aside.

"Oh." Bella replied obediently, unable to resist sneaking a glance at Ashton.

She wasn’t sure if he was angry, but she sensed his mood was rather indifferent.

His feelings were impossible to gauge unless he chose to reveal them himself.

Calvin quietly moved the plate and utensils, starting to taste.

Bella kept watching: "Which one?"

"The first cake has vibrant colors and looks bright, but the taste of lemon is too strong, a bit sour.

The second cake, with pink and black, seems a bit plain, but the black soil covers an open rose, kind of romantic, though the flavor is a bit bland."

Calvin sincerely evaluated the two cakes.

"Choose one," Ashton reminded.

Calvin instinctively sat up straight: "If I have to pick, personally, I prefer the second one."

A rose blooming from black soil.

Very romantic.

Made by Ashton.

"Then I lost." Bella wasn’t discouraged because she too liked the appearance of Ashton’s cake.

"What do you want me to do?" Bella remembered the bet they made and was ready to keep her promise.

"Make our relationship public," Ashton gave his answer, looking at Bella.
