Chapter 68: I have a present for you, sister.

Tianmo did not speak right away, allowing her trembling form to cling to him. He could feel the erratic rhythm of her heart against his chest, a slow agitated drumbeat that mirrored the chaos of her soul.

"You are trembling," he noted, his voice a small rumble that seemed to vibrate through her body. He reached down, his large hand covering the back of her head, his fingers tangling in her dark hair, forcing her to look up at him. "Is the world so cruel, sister?"

Ling’er’s eyes, little wide and mostly watery, locked onto his. The madness in them didn’t vanish, but it was tempered by a desperate, pleading vulnerability. The sharp edges of her Yandere nature were dulled by the fear of losing him, leaving only a raw, unadulterated need to be close. Her father was dead and now he was being hunted. It felt like the sky had collapsed on her life. She is but a woman, trying to learn about life and Dao.

"Brother... I thought I lost you," she muttered, her voice cracking. "Father is dead... E-Elder Wang Lin and Madam Feng wanted to stand against you and they were killed... Everything seems to be falling apart and even the sect is gone."

She was a cultivator, yet in this moment, she felt like a child. Tianmo understood. In a world where power dictated survival, weakness was a sin, and she had been stripped of her shield.

"You are not weak," Tianmo said, his tone shifting from cold observation to a solemn guarantee. "You are my sister. And you possess a water spirit root. It is a rare gift."

Ling’er blinked, her confusion evident. "But... I am only a Fifth-stage Qi Refining cultivator now, I am useless."

"Uselessness is a state of mind," Tianmo replied, a faint, predatory smile touching his lips, voice profound and time full of wisdom.

"But power... Well, power is a tangible resource. I have just returned from a journey of enlightenment and I have prepared a gift for you." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Tianmo’s gaze softened, the cold intent in his eyes completely vanishing, replaced by a look of total indifference as he waved his hand and summoned the Ice-maiden Physique’s Dao essence from his space.

"Gift... Brother what is this?! It’s so shiny..." Ling’er’s eyes widened, the chaotic fear in her heart momentarily eclipsed by the glittering radiance of the Dao essence. She reached out, her small hand trembling as she brushed against the floating, crystalline essence.

The Dao essence of the Ice-Maiden Physique was pure, cold, and profound, a fragment of a supreme Dao that had once belonged to the Holy Maiden. Pity, she died. But it is what it is.

"This is the foundation of a new path," Tianmo said, his voice calm and composed. "Given that, you possess a water spirit root and pure body, you can absorb it and awaken the Ice-Maiden physique. It will make your cultivation speed faster than before and give you a natural affinity for ice and water."

She stared at the essence, her eyes wide with wonder and little bit of fear... Her brother was giving her a physique... She felt a strange heat rising from her chest, a warmth that seemed to melt the ice in her heart. She slowly reached out and touched the essence, her fingers trembling.

As soon as her fingers made contact, the essence didn’t absorb into her skin; instead, it exploded into a massive amount of spiritual energy that rushed into her body, causing her to wither instantly.

"Brother! What’s happening?!" she screamed, her voice filled with panic as her body began to tremble violently, and icy runes began to flutter around her skin.

"Arghhhh!!!" She bit her lower lip, suppressing the pain as her body felt numb and her blood began to freeze, but it was a good kind of numbness. The pain was sharp, like a thousand needles piercing her skin, but it was also accompanied by a strange warmth deep within her bones, a warmth that seemed to be melting the forming-ice in her body.

The transformation was violent. Her skin turned pale, almost translucent, glowing with a faint, ethereal blue light. Her hair turned from jet black to a shimmering black, cascading down her back like a moonlit waterfall. Her body temperature dropped significantly, causing the moisture in the air to condense into frost around her surroundings.

The transformation took about an hour, before the blue light faded, the ice-maiden’s physique was successfully awakened.

Pant* Pant*

She fell to her knees, her breath ragged, her eyes looking at her hands. She was no longer the same girl. She felt her body lighter, stronger, and more powerful. Her body was now a vessel for the Ice-Maiden Physique, an existence that could freeze the seas and shatter the mountains. Well, not at the moment.

"B-Brother..." She looked up at him, her eyes filled with a new kind of fear and awe. "I... I can feel the power... It’s amazing... But... But..."

"You said it’s an Ice Maiden Physique, does that mean we can’t Dual Cultivate?! I want to Dual cultivate with my brother, I want to feel you inside me... I want to be yours..."

Her tone was soft, trembling, yet it carried a weight of desperate, unspoken longing. Her cheeks flushed a deep crimson, her eyes darting nervously to the door, as if afraid someone might hear her taboo thoughts. She was a woman, and a woman’s desire was a natural law, even if it was forbidden by blood.

Tianmo looked at her, his expression unreadable yet deep inside he was questioning. As someone with knowledge of the original plotline, he knew about her Yandere nature but, he doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like Yanderes and Tsunderes.

He prefers submissive women, women who can be controlled by any means possible, not necessarily love. Imagine believing that a woman with a brain inside that head would think that love is absolute. How naive.

Wish the world really worked in a one-dimensional way, pity, mind changes, personality exists and humans grow up, so, Yandere is just a phase, a temporary mental instability caused by trauma or extreme obsession. He didn’t hate her, but he didn’t want to deal with her drama either. He needed a woman who could follow orders without question, a woman who could be molded into a weapon of absolute obedience.

"Desire is a fire," Tianmo said, his voice smooth as silk but full of wisdom, though his eyes remained cold. "It burns you from the inside out. If you cannot control it, it will consume you... You know, what I am saying?"

He reached out, his hand resting on her shoulder, his touch sending a jolt of ice-cold energy through her body, suppressing the heat of her desire. "I will not deny you what you want, sister. But you must understand the consequences."

She didn’t fully comprehend what he said but she did comprehend the permission. Her eyes widened even further unnaturally, the fear in her heart evaporating instantly, replaced by a desperate, hungry light.

"Brother... You mean...?" She stammered, her voice breathless, her body trembling with anticipation.

"Yes," Tianmo said, his voice low and smooth. "But there is a condition. I am a man of Dao, and I do not waste resources. If you wish to join me, you must be willing to give everything. Your body, your soul, your cultivation base. Nothing is off-limits."

He leaned in closer, his eyes narrowing slightly, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Understood?"

"Understood...!" She spoke out, her voice trembling with excitement.
