Dual Cultivation: I Summon Villainesses of Mythic Era-Chapter 31: The Executor arrives to restore the balance, which means our end if we remain divided.
* Heir Xuan Residence, domain of the Immortal Families.*
Xuan BaiShe stood in his private living room, a vast and silent room protected by powerful sealing formations he had just activated.
In front of him, Long Huang’s silhouette had materialized in a whirlwind of black flames that emitted no heat, but seemed to consume the ambient light. The Demonic Dragoness possessed a gothic aesthetic, her long ebony hair ending in points of constant smoke. She wore a fitted black robe, bordered with dark lace, that highlighted a generous silhouette and provocative curves. Her eyes, of an absolute black without visible sclera, fixed the young scholar with a terrifying intensity.
" You? You are alive ? "
BaiShe adjusted his monocle, observing this entity from the Mythical Era. He broke the silence with a calm and composed voice, devoid of any fear.
"Do you know me, Long Huang ?" he asked, his silver pupils scrutinizing the dragoness’s face. Not really paying attention to the system notifying him of the Dao Executor’s appearance.
In the blink of an eye, Long Huang’s silhouette disappeared from its initial position to reappear directly in front of him.
"Huh!? "
Her speed surpassed the understanding of an ordinary cultivator, testifying to her power at the Overlord stage. Before BaiShe could sketch a movement, her black-gloved hand violently closed on his throat, slightly lifting him off the ground.
"You unsealed me !? I should kill you here and now," she spat.
Long Huang’s memories from the Mythical Era were fragmented and blurry. Yet she instantly recognized this unique Chaotic Qi, this impure fusion of primordial Qi and rakshasa energy emanating from the young man. For her, this energy signature meant only one thing: he was her sworn enemy, the Heavenly Demon.
"Wait, Long Huang..." tried to articulate BaiShe, although the pressure on his trachea made speech difficult.
Before he could continue, a sonic crack tore through the air, not coming from the room, but from the protection barrier he had himself erected.
The spatial structure of the sealing creaked under an irresistible external force. Suddenly, a power of sword Qi, pure and sharp, surged into the living room. The attack struck full force the place where the dragoness stood.
Long Huang pivoted at the last moment, releasing her grip in a fluid movement to jump backward. Despite her abilities restricted by her invocation at the Overlord stage, her warrior muscle memory from the Origins remained intact.
She quickly took her guard, black flames beginning to rise along her dark silhouette while her ten curved horns shone with a sinister glow. Under the effect of her demonic heat, the refined furniture made of millennial spiritual wood began to burn, transforming into ashes in a few seconds.
From the spatial fissure burst a familiar silhouette.
’The sword demoness !?’ exclaimed inwardly BaiShe, recognizing the sharp aura of his master. The situation was becoming more and more delicate.
LingBao entered the room calmly, her light step leaving no trace on the carbonized carpet. She wore her fitted midnight blue silk outfit, her long white hair descending in a silky flow to the hollow of her back. The black headband that hid her eyes did not seem to hinder her perception of the scene in any way. She placed herself in front of her disciple.
"Demonic Dragoness with black flames... You have just attacked my disciple, what does that mean ?" inquired LingBao in a voice devoid of emotional warmth.
She pointed her index finger toward Long Huang. This simple finger, charged with a sword Qi of abyssal density, was in no way different from a divine blade capable of cutting everything, from the most resistant steel to reality itself.
Long Huang narrowed her completely black eyes, a gleam of malevolent recognition shining in them.
"I see that you too have survived... I do not understand everything but..." she began, her own Qi intensifying to respond to the threat.
While the tension reached a breaking point, a melodious and celestial symphony reached their ears, seeming to emanate from the very foundations of the world.
The air vibrated with a sacred frequency that made the black flames calm down. Simultaneously, the Yin-Yang symbol intensified even more in the sky.
BaiShe narrowed his eyes behind his monocle, a cold thought crossing his mind.
"The Dao Executor is really back. " he murmured to himself.
The young master realized that he was in a precarious position. He had not planned either LingBao’s intervention, nor the visceral hatred of his first invocation. Even more intriguing, his master seemed to know Long Huang personally, a link probably dating from an era of which he had no memory.
Suddenly, the system interface appeared before his retina.
[Ding ! The advent of the Dao Executor is imminent !]
[Do you wish to have clues ? Cost : 100 Points.]
’ Why again these repeated notifications ? Yeah, I know system that the dao Executor is dangerous, but I have other cats to whip right now. ’
The two women in the room ceased their confrontation, simultaneously looking at the celestial symbol that shone with increasing intensity before suddenly disappearing. The spiritual pressure in the room dropped, replaced by an uneasy silence. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
LingBao lowered her index finger, although her aura remained vigilant.
"We should set our dispute aside, Long Huang," she declared calmly.
BaiShe straightened up, smoothing his tunic wrinkled by the previous aggression. He displayed his usual nonchalant smile.
"Well master, I am a little confused. What does all this mean ?" he asked while adjusting his monocle.
LingBao turned partially toward him.
"We all know who you really are, or at least what you represented."
" Hmm ? Really ? "
The sword demoness rubbed her temples :" I am quite impatient, BaiShe.. Stop annoying me. "
" In the past, during the mythical war where the majority of the Origins had perished, the Heavenly Demon had concluded a secret pact with various powers of the Realms. This pact aimed to counter the very will of the Heavenly Dao." She added.
For LingBao, BaiShe was not an enemy, but a necessary ally in the coming conflict.
"We were all cursed by the Dao," sighed Long Huang, her anger fading behind a face of melancholy ...
She crossed her arms over her generous chest, observing the ashes of the room.
"Whether we want it or not, the Dao wants our death, all of us. We are only springboards destined to be trampled by the sons and daughters of fortune."
LingBao nodded in approval, her black headband turned toward the window.
"That is correct, and that is why we must not tear each other apart," she affirmed.
"The Executor arrives to restore the balance, which means our end if we remain divided."
