Dual Cultivation: I Summon Villainesses of Mythic Era-Chapter 24: Visit of a Jade Beauty
POV: Xuan BaiShe
The silence had returned to the chamber after Hu Tian’s departure. I remained seated cross-legged on my cultivation bed, eyes half-closed, letting my Qi circulate slowly to perfect the stabilization of my foundation.

The death of that son of fortune had been particularly profitable. With such a sum, I could finally lift the veil on the mysteries surrounding my Ling’er. However, a thought crossed my mind, briefly breaking my concentration.
Since my return from Night Cloudy Mountain, Ling’er had not shown herself. I had risked my life to protect her from the Devourer’s fury, even suffering a mortal wound to my dantian for her. In my previous life, such a display of heroism would have made her stay at my bedside, in tears, begging me not to die... But in this life, she remained distant, almost cold.
’She has really changed... Her hostility is no longer that of a spoiled little girl seeking my attention... Is it possible that she knows?’
I gently shook my head to dispel these reflections. I was going to buy the necessary information very soon, but for now, a familiar presence was approaching my quarters. Her Qi was soft, calm, similar to a sea breeze, but tinged with a deep melancholy.
’Master Xia... Let’s see how she plans to redeem herself for the faults of her disciple.’
I released the tension in my muscles, letting my face resume that expression of pallor and weakness that I displayed to the outside world.
END OF POV
The door opened slowly, letting in a woman whose beauty was renowned throughout the Supreme Dao Sect sector.
Xia Fei entered the room, her steps producing no sound on the silk carpet. She wore a deep blue robe that highlighted the clarity of her jade-like skin. Her long blue hair, the color of the deepest oceans, cascaded in silky waves over her shoulders, framing a face with exquisitely fine features. Her eyes, large sapphires, were fixed on BaiShe with a heart-wrenching expression of guilt. The cut of her robe, although decent for a sect master, struggled to conceal her generous figure, particularly emphasizing an opulent bosom that rose with the rhythm of her ragged breathing.
She stopped a few steps from the bed, her hands clasped in front of her, nervously twisting the fabric of her sleeves.
"BaiShe... I... I wasn’t sure if I should come..." she murmured, her voice trembling with emotion.
BaiShe raised his eyes toward her, displaying a weak but warm smile, the kind of smile that seemed to say he held no grudge against her.
"Master Xia... your presence is always an honor. Why would you hesitate to visit your injured disciple?"
Xia Fei lowered her head, unable to meet his silver gaze.
"How can you be so calm? It is because of me that all this happened... Lin Feng was my disciple... I welcomed him, I trained him, I defended him against the criticisms of the other elders... And in return, he became this monster, this Devourer, and he almost killed you... He even dared to raise his hand against your sister..."
She took another step toward him, a single tear beading at the corner of her blue eye.
"I am so sorry, BaiShe... When I heard that your dantian had been pierced because of him, I felt as if it was my own hand holding the sword. Your foundation... your future... all of it is threatened by my negligence"
BaiShe let out a sigh, then extended a pale hand toward her. Xia Fei, as if hypnotized, approached to take it between her own warm and soft hands.
"Do not say such things... Lin Feng deceived everyone. Even Sect Leader Pangu did not see it coming... How could you have suspected such darkness in the heart of someone you considered as a son?"
He paused, observing the woman’s reaction. She seemed to drink in his words, desperately seeking the forgiveness he offered her on a silver platter.
"In reality..." BaiShe resumed in a lower voice, laden with false compassion. "It is you who have suffered the most from the evil that was Lin Feng... You opened your heart to him, you adopted him as your own child... And he repaid you with indignation and betrayal... He trampled on his master’s honor." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Xia Fei sat on the edge of the bed, her proximity allowing BaiShe to smell the floral perfume emanating from her. She squeezed the young man’s hand a little tighter, her eyes desperately seeking comfort in his.
"You are too kind, BaiShe... Everyone looks at me with contempt now. They wonder what kind of teaching I gave to produce such a traitor... But you, you worry about my feelings while you are the one lying here, unable to cultivate normally."
BaiShe shifted his fingers slightly, caressing the back of Xia Fei’s hand with a slow, circular motion.
"People are quick to judge what they do not understand... But I see your pain, Master Xia... I see how much this betrayal has broken you... If my injury can serve to make you feel less alone in this ordeal, then it will not have been in vain."
The atmosphere in the chamber changed imperceptibly. Xia Fei’s nervous tension began to transform into another form of agitation. She looked at BaiShe, this young man so wise, who seemed to possess a maturity far beyond his age. She felt irresistibly drawn to this sovereign calm, to this quiet strength that seemed to emanate from him despite his condition.
"I want to help you, BaiShe... I will do everything in my power to repair your dantian... The Xia family possesses resources, rare medicinal herbs... I will stop at nothing" she said, her voice becoming firmer.
She leaned a little closer to him, her large breasts almost brushing against BaiShe’s chest. The latter did not retreat; on the contrary, he tilted his head slightly, letting his gaze wander over the woman’s cleavage before returning to plunge into her sapphire eyes.
"Your support is all I need... However, the repair of my dantian is a long and delicate process... There are methods...to stabilize my energy... But they require absolute trust" he murmured, a mischievous gleam crossing his silver pupils.
Xia Fei blushed violently, understanding the thinly veiled allusion to dual cultivation techniques, but she did not pull away. On the contrary, she seemed to want to attach herself even more to him.
"I trust you, BaiShe... More than anyone else in this sect... You have proven your worth and your integrity at the risk of your life... If I can do anything to help you regain your power, I will do it... without hesitation".
