Drama Queen Reborn as a Top Student!-Chapter 726 - 311 Start with him first_3
Shen You’an glanced at Chong Ming, who was looking around suspiciously. This kid had been acting sneaky ever since he came in, emitting a heavy sense of mischief.
Chong Ming chuckled, "I’m not picky. Anything is fine."
Shen You’an replied, "Just go with what he wants."
Aidan walked away to instruct the kitchen.
Shen You’an stood at the door of the adjacent bedroom, "You’re staying in this room."
Chong Ming walked in, and his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. The room was enormous—he could play basketball in it. Thrilled, he rolled around on the massive bed. "Boss, this is exactly the life I imagined for my retirement! Boss, I love you so much!"
"Take a rest for now; breakfast will be downstairs later." Finishing her words, she left the room.
Shen You’an headed up to the third floor.
This castle was originally the private estate of a foreign aristocratic lord three centuries ago. It had been passed down within his family until seven years ago, when his declining descendants could no longer afford its upkeep and reluctantly auctioned it off. At the time, Shen You’an had just earned her first fortune, and she bought the castle, later redesigning and renovating it completely. Originally, the castle had eighteen rooms, but Shen You’an revamped the entire layout.
The family who owned it before had many members and thus required numerous rooms, but Shen You’an had no need for so many. She remodeled the second floor into two master suite bedrooms and three guest rooms, while the third floor became her exclusive private space.
The third floor was half the size of the second floor. Facing south was the master bedroom, with floor-to-ceiling windows on the east and west sides, and an open-air balcony on the south side. The balcony overflowed with flowers, with ivy-like roses cascading down. From there, one could see the nearby green mountains, and by the stream at the foot of the hills, horses leisurely drank water on the pasture.
On the other side was a study and electronic equipment. The castle was surrounded by mountains on three sides, so no matter which window one gazed out of, there were always rolling hills and a seemingly close-by azure sky.
Additionally, there was a gym and a walk-in closet on the third floor, with the gym leading out to a private open-air swimming pool. Though Shen You’an rarely came here, Aidan was a meticulous companion, ensuring the walk-in closet was fully stocked with various fashionable outfits and an impressive collection of jewelry.
Returning to the bathroom, Shen You’an took a shower and changed into a comfortable casual outfit, using a hairdryer to softly dry her hair.
Zhang Jian called, and Shen You’an answered, "Uncle."
She sprayed a bit of moisturizer onto her face, her youthful skin needing no embellishment, already vibrant and radiant beyond belief.
"An’an, are you doing okay over there by yourself? Last night was New Year’s Eve, and it was the first time you didn’t spend it with me. Ah... "
"Uncle, I’m fine. Don’t worry. Oh, by the way, Tian Ci went back, right? How is he?"
At the mention of this, Zhang Jian’s interest perked up. "You know, that school really works wonders. Tian Ci came back this time much more obedient. He even helps me wash dishes and mop the floor now. Compared to before, it’s like he’s a completely different person—he’s making my life much easier."
Shen You’an picked up her glasses and stared at her reflection in the mirror.
No brush could ever capture the essence of such eyes.
"That’s good. It proves the money we spent was worth it."
"There’s just one thing..." Zhang Jian hesitated.
"What is it?"
"Tian Ci asked me where his mom went. How should I explain it to him?"
"Just tell him the truth. He’s grown up now. Hiding it won’t do any good for his development."
"But..."
"Uncle, what you think is good for the child is just your assumption. He has the right to know the truth."
Listening to her steady, calm tone on the phone, a faint sense of loss flickered in Zhang Jian’s heart.
An’an had become more and more unfamiliar. Even though he was talking with her, she felt so distant.
Yet An’an’s words were never wrong. Despite her young age, she was exceptionally intelligent. Zhang Jian treated her words as gospel and completely followed her advice.
"Alright, I’ll think about how to tell him. No matter how busy you are with your studies, make sure you eat and rest well. Come home when you have time."
Zhang Jian hung up.
Shen You’an opened WeChat, and a flood of messages popped up.
Gao Yuyue, Yan Lu, Xun Meng, Gu Bichen, Wang Chiru, and Ren Chong had all sent her New Year’s greetings.
Liu Runxi’s message lacked the florid language and embellishments—it was just four simple words: Happy Spring Festival! 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Much like his personality, he was not skilled with words but was genuine and sincere.
Shen You’an hesitated for a moment in the dialogue box but eventually exited without replying.
Among the pile of messages, she noticed one from Rong Xianning.
Likewise, it read a straightforward "Happy Spring Festival," but unlike Liu Runxi’s, it was accompanied by a shy smiling emoji.
Shen You’an’s mind involuntarily conjured the elegant features of the youth, and a subtle smile formed at the corner of her lips.
She turned off her phone and looked at the woman in the mirror, slowly putting on her glasses.
The brilliance was restrained, the sharpness concealed.
There was a gentle knock on the door.
Shen You’an walked out of the bathroom. "Come in."
Aidan pushed the door open and entered. "Boss, that person has been loudly demanding to see you every day. I’m worried they might offend your eyes. Should I...?"
The girl’s lips curved slightly—a breathtaking yet eerie smile.
"Then let’s start with him."
