Dragon Tamer-Chapter 776 - 780 Indecisive Victory
Chapter 776: Chapter 780 Indecisive Victory
Zhu Minglang once again danced his swordsmanship through the air.
This was not the Dragon Gate, where one could wield a sword to their heart’s content. Mostly, the Art of the Flying Sword was used here.
However, just as Zhu Minglang was about to launch an attack, the ground beneath him suddenly shook violently. Immediately afterwards, a surge of Yinsha Mingyan flames erupted, engulfing the area where he stood in an instant.
Thankfully, the Nuwa Dragon cast a spell, wrapping Zhu Minglang’s body in thick divine rock, saving him from the agony of soul-searing flames.
“Is there a way to repair the earth so that we have somewhere to stand?” Zhu Minglang asked the Nuwa Dragon.
Not long ago, this wasteland was only filled with rivers of netherworld flames, and the ground was merely cracked and shattered. But now, it’s as if he stood in a sea of nether flames, with just small fragments of islands floating unstably in this world of fire.
The Nuwa Dragon always stood by Zhu Minglang’s side, her somewhat exotic eyes shimmering with a golden-brown radiance.
Her fingers moved as if threading a needle, stitching up the fragmented earth. A solid and stable chunk of brown soil floated beneath Zhu Minglang and the Nuwa Dragon’s feet. No matter how turbulent and surging the nether flames were, they could not destroy this patch of brown soil.
The Yama Dragon seemingly had no intention of letting Zhu Minglang be at peace. It suddenly leaped up, its massive dragon body heavily stamping down on the solid earth, attempting to crush this last foothold to smithereens!
The Nuwa Dragon slapped her palm down towards the earth. The brown soil started to stir, and shockingly, one stone tree after another began to grow within it, quickly forming a vast forest of giant stone trees that were extremely dense and incredibly hard.
The Yama Dragon flew down and managed to smash only a part of the stone tree forest, but failed to break this patch of Nuwa Dragon’s soil.
With the thick stone tree forest as their shield, Zhu Minglang and the Nuwa Dragon instantly gained a large barrier, making it much more difficult for the Yama Dragon to attack them directly.
Protected by the Nuwa Dragon, Zhu Minglang and the Sword Spirit Dragon once again united their thoughts as one.
Zhu Minglang split off a phantom, wielding a sharp sword, flying towards the Yama Dragon.
Zhu Minglang raised his arm high, and the phantom did the same. Zhu Minglang dodged to the side to avoid the Yama Dragon’s claws, and the phantom mirrored the sidestep!
With a graceful side slash, the sword blade struck continuously against the belly of the Yama Dragon, but the dragon scales were as hard as diamond. The Sword of God’s Blood could not leave any mark on it!
This strike was Zhu Minglang’s full effort; though it couldn’t match the power of the Sword Awakening stance, it was on par with the Vermillion Bird Sword and Punish Kun Sword. Yet the Yama Dragon didn’t even suffer a scratch; instead, it seemed like the blow had just polished its diamond scales!
“Such hard dragon scales!”
Zhu Minglang was secretly astonished; the bloodline of the Yama Dragon was evidently extremely high-grade, and he felt that even the Lei Dragon would not be its match at the same cultivation base.
The Sword Spirit Dragon was repelled back, and the phantom that Zhu Minglang had become also dissipated.

Zhu Minglang then guided the Sword Spirit Dragon to use both Sword Flash and Sword Moon, but still couldn’t harm the Yama Dragon in the slightest.
This left Zhu Minglang completely at a loss!
The Yama Dragon’s body was covered with diamond dragon scales on most of its flesh. Even where there were no hard scales, the skin was thick and tough with nether dragon skin. Moreover, despite its large size, the creature was incredibly agile; even if Zhu Minglang aimed at the scale-less areas, the Yama Dragon could easily dodge or block with the scaled parts.
Thankfully, the Moon Blessing White Dragon was confronting the Yama Dragon head-on; otherwise, if left to rampage unchecked, there would be no way to withstand it!
Only the Moon Blessing White Dragon could pose a threat to the Yama Dragon. As both dragons were of Divine Dragon Child level, Bai Qi should have had an advantage in bloodlines, wielding greater suppression power. But the Yama Dragon was clearly an incomparable peak dragon bloodline too.
Its offensive methods were extremely brutal, and its defense was extraordinary. With its claws sharp as blades and the unpredictable Scythe Wings, along with the dominating Yinsha Mingyan, Bai Qi struggled for a long while without a decisive outcome.
“Without weakening its thick dragon scales and suppressing its Yinsha Mingyan, we’re as good as bystanders,” Zhu Minglang was extremely troubled now.
The Sword Spirit Dragon, although a God principal level divine form, still had a relatively low cultivation base at the Quasi-god level.
Quasi-god and God Son levels were only a half-step apart. In theory, the Sword Spirit Dragon should be able to chop down some God Son level Loose Cultivators, but this Yama Dragon’s cultivation was simply too profound. The Demi-god level Heavenly Slaughter Dragon didn’t dare to get close, and both the Quasi-god level Sword Spirit Dragon and Nuwa Dragon could only assist in battle, relying entirely on the Moon Honoring, Star Responding White Dragon in combat.
…
The battle lasted for a very long time, with the Yama Dragon focusing on fighting the Moon Blessing White Dragon. The two dragons fought from the ground to the sky, from the eastern part of the Eight Wilderness Regions to the south.
The vast plains of the Eight Wilderness Regions sometimes transformed into a dark sea of netherworld flames, at other moments it became an ancient ice glacier. The White Dragon and the Yama Dragon’s breaths alternately dominated, never quite managing to suppress each other completely.
At first, Zhu Minglang used various methods to interfere with the Yama Dragon, while also having the Nuwa Dragon cast spells to restrict the Yama Dragon. Gradually, Zhu Minglang realized that his and the Nuwa Dragon’s involvement had little impact on the battle situation. The Yama Dragon, as if becoming stubborn, paid no more attention to Zhu Minglang and the other dragons, focusing solely on fighting the Moon Blessing White Dragon, intending to subdue this White Dragon before dawn.
Bai Qi was equally furious!
Among dragons of the same realm, none could fight it for ten rounds. All its abilities, all its profound arts, all its divine skills were incomparable. The Yama Dragon, perfect in every regard, left the Moon Blessing White Dragon no weaknesses to exploit, resulting in a fight of over a hundred rounds from deep night till dawn, with no winner in sight.
“Kū ao!!!!!!!”
The Yama Dragon let out a sky-shaking roar, forcefully pushing back the Moon Blessing White Dragon with its powerful Yin Sha Dragon Breath.
It turned its head, its dark eyes of the netherworld fixed on the east. A hint of daylight was now visible over the land in the east, the morning light about to spill over…
A being of the Yama Dragon’s level could indeed move about during the day, but its strength would be significantly weakened by the sunlight. Realizing that continuing the fight would leave it at a disadvantage, the Yama Dragon glared fiercely at Zhu Minglang, then spread its imposing scythe wings and flew off into the thick of the night!
“What’s the matter, scared? Keep fighting!” Zhu Minglang pointed at the departing Yama Dragon, immediately shouting insults arrogantly.
“Kū!” The Yama Dragon snorted out blue flames from its nostrils, still with a hint of scorn!
“I’ll let you off this time. If you dare to disturb me again, I’ll definitely tie you up and tame you slowly. Get ready for a job guarding the house!” Zhu Minglang continued to curse, pointing at the dimly lit sky.
As it flew, the Yama Dragon kept looking back.
It, being capable of understanding human speech to some extent, was so enraged that blue flames continuously burst from its pupils, nostrils, and mouth!
How had this human, who just three years ago could have been easily crushed, suddenly become so formidable, especially that White Dragon…
Even with some reluctance, the Yama Dragon still flew towards the Dark Vortex, burrowing into the crossroads of the Underworld.
After all, it had left its Yama command mark, which meant that it could find Zhu Minglang no matter where he ran, to the ends of the earth. It would first restore its energy and then return to settle the score with that White Dragon!
…
Dawn arrived, and the surrounding wasteland was thoroughly ravaged, the dragons, beasts, and demon tribes that once lived on this land had fled who knows where, terrified.
The battle between two God Dragon Sons was far more terrifying than their territorial disputes or racial wars.
Zhu Minglang had originally intended to further test himself in the Eight Wilderness Regions, to give several of his lower-cultivation dragons a chance to fight. However, now that all the holy spirits and dragon kings in the Eight Wilderness Regions were frightened to the bone, hiding in their nests and too scared to come out, Zhu Minglang had no choice but to leave this land of wild beasts ahead of schedule and head to his first destination—Zhongxin Giant City.
Zhongxin Giant City is a colossal city that venerates various deities. It is a hub for many God Clans, God Countries, great territories, and barren demon lands. The city does not refuse entry to any Lower God Organization, and it also takes in common folk, including some outcasts and barbarians—making it a place that is both free and extremely complex.
It seems that no matter what land, continent, or God Territory one goes to, Dragon Trainers hold a significant importance. In Zhongxin Giant City, the riches and spiritual objects surpass those of the Supreme Court; the trades that happen here daily exceed the Neon Sea’s monthly volume. Most importantly, Spirit Objects of godly quality, which are impossible to find in any city of the Supreme Court, could be purchased in this city.
Zhu Minglang needed Star Moon Essence. Little White had just had a major battle with the Yama Dragon, depleting a great deal of her energy and strength, and urgently needed Sun and Moon Essence to recover.
Luckily, after dealing with the few Demi-gods from the Ming God Clan and Flaunting Heaven Peak, Zhu Minglang had plundered all their belongings. Otherwise, with his own previous savings, he couldn’t have afforded even half a godly Spirit Object.
“Simply bid, highest bidder wins, how outrageous… With so much to buy, where would I get the money?”
“I’m at least a True God. Isn’t there some kind of salary for myself? I have to uphold justice and combat Evil Gods and Violent Gods, such dangerous work. Old Heavenly Father should give me more benefits.”
Zhu Minglang shook his head and sighed. The little bit of money he had managed to save was barely enough to stock up on some provisions for Little White.
This made Zhu Minglang think back to when he first entered the Dragon Taming Acadey, running about hard for Big Black Tooth’s meat worms and Little White’s floral nectar. Who would have thought that even as a god, he couldn’t escape the fate of a Dragon Slave!
“Sell that ten-thousand-year-old Yinsu Sacred Dew. That stuff should be worth a lot.”
“There’s also a Void Sky Demon Crystal on display at the Bidding Grand Hall, which could enhance the cultivation of the Heavenly Slaughter Dragon. It’s currently at 60 million gold… it’s expected to go even higher, so it’s better to stock up on more Silver Tael.”
