Douluo Dalu: Sign in to the Flame Princess-Chapter 91 - : Bathing?
Chapter 91 - 91: Bathing?
"You tell me, how should you thank me?" Ning Rongrong smiled mischievously at Zhao Ming. She wasn't a fool, and after seeing Zhao Ming and Flender talking for so long, she had a pretty good idea of what had transpired.
"Oh, so you knew?" Zhao Ming chuckled. To be honest, Ning Rongrong's little assist earlier came at the perfect time. Without it, Flender might have dragged the conversation on forever, and Zhao Ming would have walked away empty-handed.
"Of course, I'm not stupid."
"Do you know how much I made?" Zhao Ming glanced around before lowering his voice.
"How much?"
Zhao Ming raised four fingers.
"Four thousand gold soul coins?" Ning Rongrong's eyes widened in disbelief.
Zhao Ming paused for a moment, looking at her in surprise. Was this really the daughter of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan? Was she truly so amazed by just a few thousand gold soul coins?
In fact, Zhao Ming didn't know that Ning Rongrong had no real concept of money back in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan. Whatever she needed, she had at her fingertips, so she never used gold soul coins. It wasn't until she secretly left the clan with a few thousand gold coins as her pocket money that she realized the value of money in the outside world. Now, her supply of gold soul coins was quickly dwindling.
Quickly understanding the situation, Zhao Ming grinned slyly and said, "Ning Rongrong, I have a little favor to ask."
"What do you want?" Ning Rongrong eyed Zhao Ming suspiciously, sensing that he was up to no good.
"It's nothing much. I'm just worried that Flender might not pay up. How about you come with me to collect the debt? I'll give you two thousand gold soul coins for your help." Zhao Ming offered generously.
"That's it?" Ning Rongrong asked, pleasantly surprised. To her, it was a small favor, but Zhao Ming was willing to split half of what he'd earned with her. She couldn't help but feel touched.
"Zhao Ming, you're so generous." Her nose tingled as she hugged Zhao Ming.
"Uh, don't say that. Actually, I'm not that generous. You know what, how about I give you three thousand instead?" Seeing how moved Ning Rongrong was, Zhao Ming felt a bit guilty and considered giving her a bit more.
But Ning Rongrong shook her head, even more touched. "I don't need that much. It's your money. I'll just take a quarter—one thousand is enough."
"Alright then, forget it. You're getting what you deserve, and not a penny less. Two thousand, no less," Zhao Ming insisted.
Ning Rongrong nodded and didn't argue further.
After their match, Zhao Ming and Ning Rongrong headed over to the one-on-one competition area to find Xiao Wu. The Great Spirit Arena had a rule that participants could only take part in one match per category per day. This meant Zhao Ming could only participate in one two-on-two match per day. Of course, he could still take part in a one-on-one match, but Zhao Ming decided against it. Since he had committed to helping Ning Rongrong reach the diamond rank, he was determined to see it through, step by step.
By the time they left the Great Spirit Arena, it was already late afternoon.
Initially, Zhao Ming had planned to visit Bi Ji and the others with Xiao Wu, but Xiao Wu unexpectedly declined and returned to Shrek Academy with Ning Rongrong and the others. Xiao Wu was so considerate, so selfless, that Zhao Ming couldn't help but feel a little guilty.
But today wasn't the best day to bring her along.
Without overthinking it, Zhao Ming made his way towards Yan Lingji and the others.
Thanks to the connection between him and his puppets, especially when they were nearby, Zhao Ming could easily sense Yan Lingji's location.
After crossing two streets, Zhao Ming arrived in front of an exquisite pavilion.
The pavilion stood about four to five stories tall—not large, but intricately designed. Hanging above the entrance was a sign with three delicate characters written on it: Heavenly Garment Pavilion. Unlike the signs of other shops, the calligraphy was graceful and clearly the work of a woman's hand.
Zhao Ming smiled to himself.
He hadn't expected them to get the business up and running so quickly during his short absence.
Judging by the elegant script, this must have been Yan Lingji's handiwork. Neither Bi Ji nor Ya Ya would have been interested in such matters.
Pushing open the door, Zhao Ming was surprised to find two familiar faces inside.
It was the pair of twin sisters whom Dai Mubai had tried to take to a hotel room last time.
"What are you doing here?" Zhao Ming asked, raising an eyebrow.
"My lord, you're here!" The sisters looked overjoyed to see him.
They quickly explained, "We're working here at the Heavenly Garment Pavilion."
After what had happened at the Rose Hotel, the sisters had developed an interest in Zhao Ming. Over the years, they had met many men and could easily tell that Zhao Ming was different. When they saw Bi Ji's recruitment notice, they seized the opportunity.
"I see. Well, keep up the good work." Zhao Ming nodded and left it at that.
Though Zhao Ming had a penchant for beautiful women, he wasn't desperate enough to settle for just anyone.
He had plenty of stunning women waiting for him at home.
These twins didn't qualify to be his women, especially considering their previous association with Dai Mubai. Zhao Ming wasn't interested in women who had been with other men, even if only partially.
He continued upstairs, admiring the wooden carvings that decorated the pavilion. The hallways were filled with a subtle, pleasant fragrance that soothed his senses.
As he approached the upper floors, he heard soft laughter and playful banter.
He recognized the voices—Bi Ji and Yan Lingji.
In addition, the sound of water splashing could be heard.
Were they bathing?
