Douluo Dalu: Sign in to the Flame Princess-Chapter 81 - : Dai Mubai Spits Blood
Chapter 81 - 81: Dai Mubai Spits Blood
"How does the Divine Foot Scripture compare to Tang San's Tang Sect techniques? It's not inferior, right?" Zhao Ming asked the system.
"Of course not! Anything produced by the system is top-tier. The Divine Foot Scripture is an incredibly powerful technique from the Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils world. And since it's been enhanced by the system, how could it be compared to Tang San's petty skills?"
"The best part is that the Divine Foot Scripture requires one to master various pressure points during cultivation. This gives you the perfect excuse to teach them hands-on."
"Hmph, you're such a sneaky system," Zhao Ming replied, feigning seriousness. However, inside, he was thrilled. Having a system that understood him so well truly made things easier.
Returning his focus, Zhao Ming noticed Zhu Zhuqing charging at him with her sharp claws extended.
As an agility-type spirit master, Zhu Zhuqing's speed was impressive for someone at her level. However, to Zhao Ming, it was far from enough to pose a threat. He didn't even need to release his martial soul to deal with her.
Using his powerful mental strength, Zhao Ming dodged her attack with ease, and in the same motion, he grabbed Zhu Zhuqing's arm, instantly restraining her.
Holding her slender arm, Zhao Ming couldn't help but feel the warmth of her skin through her outfit, stirring something within him.
Even though she was dressed in thick leather, her arm still felt delicate and soft.
The last time he had fought with Zhao Wuji, he had felt a similar sensation when grabbing her, but with Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong nearby, he had been distracted, so the experience had been fleeting.
This time, it was just him and Zhu Zhuqing. The situation felt entirely different.
"You can use your full strength. I've told you, there's no need to hold back," Zhao Ming said calmly, showing no sign of discomfort.
His words left Zhu Zhuqing stunned.
She had known that Zhao Ming was strong but hadn't expected him to be this powerful. He had easily restrained her without even using his martial soul. Even though she hadn't gone all out, she had still used about eighty percent of her strength, and yet, it seemed like nothing to him.
After all, Zhu Zhuqing was an agility-type spirit master with only twenty-seven ranks. Hurting Zhao Ming was out of the question. More importantly, her speed was ineffective against Zhao Ming's overwhelming mental strength.
Realizing the gap between them, Zhu Zhuqing nodded resolutely, preparing to give it her all.
With renewed determination, she attacked Zhao Ming again, this time with everything she had. Zhao Ming, as before, effortlessly evaded her strikes.
As they continued to spar, Zhu Zhuqing began to notice improvements in her own skills. Slowly, she was becoming better at pressuring Zhao Ming, moving from barely touching him to forcing him to exert more effort in dodging her attacks.
Of course, much of this was due to Zhao Ming's subtle guidance. He didn't want to crush her confidence by overwhelming her too quickly.
"Zhuqing, do you know where your weaknesses lie?" Zhao Ming asked after evading another of her attacks.
"Speed is paramount in combat. The faster and stronger your attack, the more unstoppable you become. Your speed is impressive compared to spirit masters of the same level, but it's still insufficient for higher-level opponents. Moreover, your strikes lack sharpness. I'd suggest strengthening your hand technique—perhaps by practicing with iron sand—"
"Practicing with what?" Zhu Zhuqing asked, confused.
Zhao Ming had nearly blurted out "Iron Sand Palm," but when he looked at her delicate hands, he reconsidered. There was no way he would let such beautiful hands go through such grueling training.
"Never mind. What I meant is, as an agility-type spirit master, you should focus on becoming elusive, like a ghost. You need explosive power and sharp instincts."
"I believe a truly exceptional agility-type spirit master needs the observational abilities of a control-type spirit master. You need to be agile and precise, capable of delivering high damage at the perfect moment. Additionally, your explosive power must be immense, allowing you to inflict significant damage in a short time frame."
Zhao Ming envisioned Zhu Zhuqing becoming like the assassin characters from the MOBA games of his previous life: swiftly dealing massive damage and then retreating, only to strike again at the opportune moment.
Agility-type spirit masters were the most versatile in battle, balancing attack and mobility. If Zhu Zhuqing could reach the level Zhao Ming was describing, she would become a terrifying force on the battlefield.
Listening to Zhao Ming's words, Zhu Zhuqing's eyes lit up as understanding dawned on her.
"Ding! Task completed."
"Ding! Divine Foot Scripture has been issued."
After hearing Zhao Ming's explanation, Zhu Zhuqing adjusted her stance, her eyes gleaming with newfound determination.
She attacked again, this time using her spirit skill, Ghostly Hundred Claws. Zhao Ming immediately sensed the improvement in her movement.
Her claw-like attacks swiftly targeted his front, but when Zhao Ming intercepted, Zhu Zhuqing suddenly changed her angle and aimed at his back.
Slightly surprised, Zhao Ming remained unshaken. He countered her strike with his left hand while his right hand lightly tapped her waist.
The difference in their strength was still too great.
Zhu Zhuqing, caught off balance, stumbled forward. Though the maneuver was basic, Zhu Zhuqing had already been exhausted after their extended sparring session. Instead of adjusting her stance, she lost control and began falling forward.
The terrain of Shrek's training grounds was uneven, and a fall here could be painful.
"Watch out!" Zhao Ming shouted, instinctively reaching out to catch her. But rather than simply stopping her fall, he wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her down with him.
Zhu Zhuqing was unexpectedly soft, her waist slim and supple. As they fell together, Zhao Ming hit the ground first, and Zhu Zhuqing landed right on top of him.
What he didn't anticipate was that Zhu Zhuqing's lips would press directly against his.
Zhao Ming's eyes widened in shock.
Zhu Zhuqing, equally stunned, stared down at him, her mind completely blank.
Zhao Ming swore to himself that this wasn't planned. He had only meant to catch her in a chivalrous way, like a scene from a romantic drama. He never expected it to lead to such an awkward situation.
With her warm body pressed against him, Zhao Ming found it hard to remain calm. He was only human, after all, and the sensation was overwhelming.
His hands rested lightly on Zhu Zhuqing's waist as the two stared at each other in silence, their eyes locked.
Zhu Zhuqing's mind was blank, while Zhao Ming, realizing the situation couldn't get worse, decided to enjoy the moment.
The scene was intimate, almost too perfect.
And then, fate intervened in the form of Dai Mubai.
Dai Mubai had come looking for Zhu Zhuqing, wanting to check if she was still angry with him. However, when he couldn't find her in the dormitory, he wandered around the academy, eventually stumbling upon the training grounds.
There, he saw the one thing he feared most—Zhu Zhuqing, his fiancée, lying on top of Zhao Ming, their lips pressed together.
Zhu Zhuqing had always kept her distance from him. They had never even held hands, let alone kissed. Yet here she was, with another man, doing something that Dai Mubai had never dared hope for.
"Zhao Ming! Zhuqing! What are you doing?!" Dai Mubai roared in fury.
His shout jolted both Zhao Ming and Zhu Zhuqing back to their senses. Zhu Zhuqing immediately pushed herself off Zhao Ming, her face flushed with embarrassment and anger.
