Chapter 619: Chapter 618 Two Choices

Zhou Xiuer, upon seeing Wufu, became as meek as a mouse before a cat, all her arrogance and sharpness retracted as she hid behind Madam Zhou, pursing her lips, not daring to utter a sound.

She was no fool; she understood that the Wufu of today was no longer the same Wufu whom she used to bully without repercussions.

The Wufu before her was now someone she could only look up to.

Even now, she wasn’t dressed in any fine clothing or adorned with jewelry. Instead, she wore an oddly-styled, treasure-blue garment made of fine cloth. The somewhat loose pants wrapped around two long, slender legs, and deer leather boots clad her feet. On her upper body, she had on a rice-white, long-sleeved turtleneck shirt, covered with a short, buttoned coat that bore no complex patterns, yet it was still strikingly simple and neat.

Her black hair was gathered into a high ponytail with a headband, adorned with two pearls the size of fingertips.

Though the attire seemed odd and mismatched, it gave off an imposing, heroic air.

Wufu’s outfit had been modeled after horse-riding attire from future generations, and she had several made for ease of horse riding and practicing martial arts.

Zhou Xiuer couldn’t understand, only feeling that Wufu was ostentatious and impolite for dressing this way. What kind of girl only wore trousers, exposing her long legs for all to see? It was truly embarrassing.

But these were thoughts she dared not voice; as mentioned before, Wufu was no longer someone she could bully but someone she could only admire. Despite her contempt, she had to admit that even in such attire, Wufu’s presence was captivating.

Zhou Xiuer looked at the domineering Wufu, desperately recalling the past. How could this person have changed so drastically? It was just a few days of being unconscious, and upon waking, she seemed like a completely different person.

She remembered the rumors and looked at Wufu with some dread. Could it be true that some monster had taken over Wufu’s body?

Otherwise, given the old Wufu’s capabilities, how could she enjoy such better days now, skilled in both carving and martial arts? It was all too eerie.

"Auntie..." Zhou Xiuer clutched the hem of Madam Zhou’s clothes, looking fearfully at Wufu, convinced she was facing a monster.

Wufu sat down, accepting a sip of tea from Jadeite, taking a sip, and glancing sideways at Zhou Xiuer, "I’ve said before, don’t play tricks in front of me. It seems you didn’t understand."

Zhou Xiuer bit her lip, "I... You’ve locked up my parents; how can I leave? Unless you release them."

Wufu’s expression turned cold, "Are you threatening me?"

Feeling the air around her chill, Zhou Xiuer’s pupils contracted slightly, leaning closer to Madam Zhou.

"I hate being threatened most in my life." Wufu placed the teacup down with a thud, staring at her, "I won’t waste words with you. You have two choices, one is to have me send you to prison to reunite with your parents, to fulfill your filial piety. The second, leave obediently and return to where you belong."

Zhou Xiuer’s face paled, and she looked up at Madam Zhou, "Auntie, I..."

"Seems like you want to choose the first. Jadeite." Wufu sneered.

Jadeite immediately stepped forward to seize Zhou Xiuer’s arm, preparing to drag her out.

Zhou Xiuer screamed in terror, "Auntie, I don’t want to go, I’ll leave, I’ll leave right now."

"Wufu." Madam Zhou couldn’t bear it.

Without looking at her, Wufu signaled Jadeite with her eyes and slowly approached Zhou Xiuer.

Now standing before her, having grown taller than Zhou Xiuer due to daily exercises, she looked down at her and said, "How good it would have been if you had been this obedient earlier."

Zhou Xiuer took a few frightened steps back.

Monster, this monster!
