Chapter 1431: Chapter 1369: Together with You

After tidying up, Wufu left the courtyard, thinking of going directly next door, but considering Madam Zhou, she detoured to her to pay her respects first.

Upon reaching the Floral Hall, she heard Madam Zhou’s joyful laughter, along with a man’s voice. Who could that be?

As she approached the door, she recognized the voice. Entering, she saw Ah Jiu dressed in a purple robe sitting beneath Madam Zhou.

Upon Wufu’s entrance, both of their gazes turned to her. When her eyes met Ah Jiu’s, he gave her a questioning look and then winked, looking quite pleased with himself.

"You finally woke up, girl. Ah Jiu is here," Madam Zhou said, sensing a strange feeling at their mutual gaze.

Wufu bowed to her before turning her attention to Ah Jiu.

"Knowing that Aunt is here, I thought I’d visit the elder first," Ah Jiu said with a smile.

Wufu thought to herself, you really put on a convincing act, appearing completely different from the rogue you were last night.

Madam Zhou said, "You two can chat; I’ll head down first." With that, she rose, holding onto Qiu Xiang’s hand.

Ah Jiu stood up quickly, cupping his hands towards Madam Zhou.

At the doorway, Madam Zhou turned back for a look. She saw Wufu already by Ah Jiu’s side, leaning in close to listen intently, showing a girlish demeanor. Her heart skipped a beat with mixed feelings, both comforting and bittersweet.

"I was just about to find you; why are you here?" Wufu asked Ah Jiu.

Ah Jiu replied, "I just arrived. It’s only proper to pay respects to your mother first." A future mother-in-law should always be won over.

Wufu raised her eyebrows and hummed lightly, "Have you had breakfast?"

Ah Jiu shook his head, "I came specifically to have it with you." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Hearing this, Wufu asked Jadeite to bring breakfast, and they sat at the table in the Floral Hall.

"Did you know I took on a master? After breakfast, shall I take you to meet him?" Wufu asked him.

"Of course, meeting a master is important, but it’s not urgent. Having just returned, I wanted to spend a couple of days with you first," Ah Jiu said, his eyes sparkling.

Having been apart for so long, he didn’t want anyone to interrupt their time together. He needed a few days with Wufu to make up for and soothe his longing.

Wufu felt moved, "Where to?"

"Anywhere as long as it’s with you," Ah Jiu replied with a smile. "We could stay at an estate for a couple of days."

"In that case, how about the Hot Spring Manor in Huaquan Town? We just bought this estate recently; it has hot springs and a mountain nearby. Now that autumn has arrived, there are plenty of game animals to hunt," Wufu said excitedly.

"Good, let’s go to the estate!"

Wufu said, "Then let’s have Purple Jade and the others prepare."

Purple Jade, having just brought breakfast, heard her name and the instructions, smiled, and went off to make arrangements.

Soon after, Bai Xiaobai rushed into the Floral Hall, saw Ah Jiu, and plopped onto the table, grabbing a pastry to munch on. "You’re going to the manor? I’m going too!"

Ah Jiu’s face darkened slightly, "Why aren’t you at the Eastern Palace? Is Crown Prince Zhao better now?"

"He won’t die anytime soon!" Bai Xiaobai said, biting the pastry, "I am bored to death. I want to go to the manor too."

Ah Jiu thought, he just wanted to quietly be with Wufu and not have someone else interfering.

He glanced at Wufu and winked at her. Wufu understood and said, "Then quickly go to the Eastern Palace. First, check the Crown Prince’s pulse and request leave. Otherwise, what if they suddenly look for you?"

Bai Xiaobai, being straightforward, quickly swallowed the pastry and said, "I’ll go right away!"

Who knew, upon entering the Eastern Palace, it would be the next day by the time he could leave. The reason being the Crown Prince’s other physician held him back to research a new medicine, and by the time he came out, Wufu and the others had already left.
