Doted By The Regent King-Chapter 1066 - 1064: Have Your Pubes Grown In Yet?
Wufu followed the little girl who led the way, all the way to a private and well-isolated elegant room, surrounded by various prized flowers and plants. Especially since it was already April, the flowers of the season were blooming brilliantly, particularly a cluster of pink roses, which were blossoming gorgeously, making the scenery truly perfect.
Inside the elegant room, a stranger’s male voice came over: "You know perfectly well I’m not on good terms with the Leng Family, yet you insist on holding a banquet at that Yuxing Tower. Isn’t this a provocation to me? Whomever you’re aiding, I won’t support Leng Wuyin. Besides, shouldn’t business between men always be done in such romantic places?" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Wufu gently raised an eyebrow, her face showing little reaction, but Jin Yu, Chi San, and others following her turned grim upon hearing this. Who said business has to be conducted in such places?
Alright, admittedly, if these were truly men, they often entertained in places of such romantic nature, and places like these have indeed facilitated many deals.
Wufu listened carefully, and not far away, the sounds of silk and bamboo and laughter gently drifted over. She thought to herself that this Joyful Garden indeed didn’t distinguish between day and night; even in broad daylight, business seemed very good.
"Master. Young Master Xiao Wu is here!" Ding Lai reported from the doorway.
Someone lifted the curtain at the entrance. Wufu walked in, greeted by an elegant room resembling Japanese style. The superior red wooden floor was polished to a shine, with several soft cushions placed on the floorboards. A large square table made from red wood was in the middle, around which people were sitting, sipping wine and chatting. On a shelf in the corner, a bunch of vibrant flowers inserted into a beautiful vase emitted a light floral fragrance.
Near the window of the elegant room was a table with an ancient zither on it, played by a woman dressed in an elegant attire. The melodious tune flowed from her fingertips, the music lingering in the air.
"Xiao Wu." Master Gui waved at her while dressed in a blue robe.
A gaze fell upon Wufu; she looked over, only to see a man in a crimson robe reclining against a soft cushion, with a handsome countenance, holding a wine cup in one hand and resting the other on his bent knee, examining her. Who else could this be but Jun Wenqi from the Tenth Prince’s Mansion?
Wufu laughed and stepped forward, cupping her hands in salute: "Master Gui, Xiao Wu has arrived late!" She then looked towards Jun Wenqi: "This must be Young Master Jun then, Xiao Wu pays her respects."
"Is this the person you’ve been saying you want to discuss cooperation with me?" Jun Wenqi scrutinized Wufu, then chuckled, "Hey, kid, have your feathers fully grown yet?"
Jin Yu, Chi San, and the others’ faces immediately changed. Xiao Qi didn’t understand, but being naturally sensitive, he saw their expressions and began glaring at Jun Wenqi, amber eyes shooting out fierce light, looking ready to charge at any moment.
Jun Wenqi paused, narrowed his fox-like eyes, and said: "What’s this, you little brat, planning to kill me?"
Xiao Wu coughed and said to Chi San: "Take Xiao Qi out, order something to eat, wait for me outside."
"Yes, young master."
Xiao Qi was unwilling to leave, but Xiao Wu said to him: "Be good."
Seeing her like this, Xiao Qi realized he couldn’t stay, so he glared fiercely at Jun Wenqi and retreated with Chi San.
Master Gui observed this and said to Wufu: "He’s still that way, only listens to you."
"Apologies for the display!" Wufu sighed helplessly, cupped a hand towards Jun Wenqi, and said: "Xiao Qi is just a child, naturally sensitive, I hope Young Master Jun won’t hold it against him."
There’s an old saying, don’t strike a smiling face, and hearing Master Gui say this, no matter how displeased Jun Wenqi was, it wasn’t suitable to say anything more, so he huffed.
