Don't Mess with That Dragon-Chapter 463 - 016 Experiment
The Beast God’s conspiracy, Austin did not expend too much energy speculating on his schemes.
The theories surrounding the Multi-universe and the Crystal Wall System, Austin had some ideas to verify, though now wasn’t the right time.
Austin didn’t know if he could truly traverse different Crystal Wall Systems, and whether his soul had some kind of connection. Could the Beast God’s access to the Doomsday Plane through the fragments of the Gate of Truth be related to his traversal?
All this was too complex.
So complex that even Austin at present had no capability to uncover the truth.
Since he couldn’t discern the truth for now, Austin naturally didn’t dwell on it.
Putting these speculations aside, Austin followed the records in the journal and arrived at a closely guarded chamber deep within the fragmented Space City.
He saw a device that continuously emitted powerful Magic Energy, akin to a sun.
Arcane Power Furnace!
The owner of the journal was an auxiliary researcher in the Arcane Council’s Arcane Power Furnace Shell Research Project.
And this was the Arcane Power Furnace they used for experimentation!
Even after tens of thousands of years following the War of the Gods, this Arcane Power Furnace hidden deep within the fragments of Space City still emitted extremely powerful energy!
"Is this... the source of Arcane Power..."
Upon entering the chamber, he immediately felt the scorching, majestic power.
It seemed like a massive blazing sun was trapped within a large spherical metal device, with some kind of powerful unknown force confining the terrifying magnitude of energy into a small space.
Austin could sense how vast that energy was, capable of turning everything within a hundred-mile radius to ash upon eruption!
"The advanced power devices used by the Arcane Council during the construction of Space City, also the energy source for various Arcane weapons that reached their peak... truly unbelievable. If the technology within could be deciphered, it would vastly benefit the tribe’s science and technology!"
The journal recorded that the Arcane Power Furnace had a wide range of applications.
Unfortunately, according to Guppa, when the Arcane Council was destroyed, even the cultivation path of Arcane was erased at its root, leaving nothing behind.
In his previous searches, Austin had found no Arcane cultivation methods.
Thus, deciphering the Arcane Power Furnace might not be possible even in ten or twenty years.
Austin felt somewhat regretful.
However, upon reconsideration, it really wasn’t a big deal.
Although deciphering the technology might be difficult, it could still serve as a reference to develop similar Magic Engineering Techniques.
Moreover, the energy from the Arcane Power Furnace could be fully utilized.
After all, judging by the traces around,
it’s evident that the Legendary Snake Demon Leader likely used some method to siphon energy from the furnace, eventually breaking through the Legendary threshold with it.
"Conveniently, this area lies between the Outer Domain and Inner Domain of the Kawa Great Forest. A Stronghold City could be constructed above as a key traffic hub, with a scientific laboratory established underground to study this Arcane Furnace."
After a short while, Austin flew back up from the ruins below.
At this moment, the Dragon Nest Legion was advancing like a hot knife through butter, slaughtering a large number of Exotic Snakes, and had already progressed near the vicinity of the pit.
Austin made arrangements to establish a city here, covering up the ruins below.
Simultaneously, he instructed the Dragon Nest Beastmen to organize the fragment spaces of the Space City below, sorting out valuable items and tidying the space.
After spending several days stationed in the Stone Peak Forest, taking care of subsequent affairs, Austin returned to the Dragon Nest Base.
...
Time passed by quickly, and yet again several days had passed.
Austin returned to the tribe’s base and handed the droplet of the Blood Refining Law Origin as a reward to Lizardman Rodney, one of the commanders of the Dragon Nest Tribe, whose strength had reached the Gold Level after years of fighting and abundant resource supply.
Using his own blood as a medium, he infused the Law of Poison Origin into Rodney’s body.
As the experimental subject, Rodney remained in a coma, with the results unknown.
Several days later, Rodney awoke from the coma and simultaneously gained a trace of the Law of Poison power.
A trace, probably only about one percent of the complete Law of Poison.
But within Rodney’s blood, refined through Blood Refining, there remained a large portion of the Law of Poison that was yet to be activated.
This also meant that Austin’s idea had succeeded.
The Dragon Nest Legion now had a master who grasped a trace of Law, significantly enhancing its strength.
In the future, as long as enough Law Origin was acquired, it represented the Dragon Nest Tribe’s ability to mass-produce top experts who mastered Law Power!
However, faced with such immense temptation, Austin restrained himself.
"The Dragon Nest Tribe... Currently, throughout the Kawa Great Forest, essentially no force can oppose the tribe’s strength. It’s not yet time to massively produce masters who grasp Law."
After all, the Dragon Nest Legion already possessed overwhelming strength in the wilderness of Kawa Great Forest.
What was the point of further massively increasing masters who grasp the Law Origin?
The enemies were too weak, there was simply no need to wield a sledgehammer.
Moreover, creating batches of top experts who grasp Law—did those opposing factions think themselves fools?
"There’s no need to overtly increase the Dragon Nest Legion’s strength with this method, especially since such forceful means might not be beneficial for their future prospects."
Weighing the pros and cons, Austin abandoned the idea of going on large-scale hunts to seize Law Origin and then massively enhance the Dragon Nest Legion’s strength.
However, he reconsidered.
While he couldn’t enhance the overt strength, what about in secret?
Perhaps a shadow army could be organized.
An army entirely mastering Laws, hidden in the shadows, ready to act only when necessary.
Moreover, those agents who worked for him, gathering information externally, were essentially operating from the shadows, acting in darkness, and their strength needed to be as strong as possible.
Austin was researching how to increase the conversion rate of Blood Refining Law Origin, and the expansion of the Dragon Nest Tribe continued unabated.
Relying on a large number of members from the servant army, the Dragon Nest Tribe quickly established a Stronghold City outside the Stone Peak Forest and concealed the Arcane Ruins underneath, employing some Goblin Elf Scientists for research inside.
At the same time, having cleared the critical juncture, the Dragon Nest Legion advanced into the Inner Domain of the Kawa Great Forest using the Stone Peak Forest as a rear base.
However, compared to the smooth sailing in the Outer Domain, they encountered numerous troubles when invading the Inner Domain.
In the Inner Domain, there were not many wild Beastmen, relatively rarer compared to the Outer Domain, yet the number and strength of monsters stepped up a level, providing several challenges to the expansion of the Dragon Nest Legion.
