Don't Fall For Me, CEO-Chapter 1020: No Body Found
"Whatβs going on, Lord Keaton?"
Thomas Grant looked puzzled. π§πβ―β―π€β―π£πβ΄πππ.ππ°π
But instead of answering, Kyle Keaton asked, "Have you ever seen July Quinnβs body?"
"No, I havenβt. Why?" Thomas Grant still looked bewildered.
"July Quinn might not be dead!" Kyle Keatonβs answer left Thomas Grant stunned.
Back then, he was unconscious, so not seeing July Quinnβs body was normal.
But Thomas Grant and others had been at the rescue site all along; if even he hadnβt seen July Quinnβs body, then something was definitely off.
"Thatβs impossible, right? President Donovan said back then that the body was severely damaged, too horrific, so it was transported directly to the funeral home for cremation after being found by their people."
Thomas Grant thought it was too far-fetched to suddenly claim July Quinn wasnβt dead.
Who would want to be declared dead when theyβre not?
But Kyle Keaton insisted, "Whether sheβs dead or not, wonβt exhuming July Quinnβs grave make it clear?"
Thomas Grant thought that digging up a grave was terribly disrespectful.
But he couldnβt defeat Kyle Keatonβs persistence.
So that afternoon, Thomas Grant reluctantly gathered over a dozen Vanguard War Generals to dig up the grave.
As they swung their shovels in July Quinnβs grave, Kyle Keaton stood by the side, staring intently at July Quinnβs smiling photograph.
After digging for a long time, they finally uncovered the so-called urn.
Patrick Sullivan personally brushed off layers of sand and handed the urn to Kyle Keaton.
Kyle Keaton took the urn, expressionless.
But his slightly trembling hands betrayed his inner feelings.
Not until he opened the urn and saw not even a speck of sand inside did he smash it on the ground, kicking over the tombstone.
"July Quinn! How dare you deceive me!"
Only God knows how he made it through these days!
If not for the belief of avenging those who killed her, he might have already drunk poison to follow her.
Kyle Keaton couldnβt imagine what would have happened if heβd lost control of his emotions and followed July Quinn by setting her example when he later discovered she was not dead.
Would July Quinn be moved and follow him into the afterlife?
No.
Given July Quinnβs character, that seemed impossible.
Most likely, sheβd find a few more young and vigorous fools, painting him in a bad light.
Just picturing her lying beneath another man made Kyle Keaton feel heβd resurrect from anger and twist their necks, ending it once and for all.
"Lord Keaton, what should we do now?"
Just locking eyes with Kyle Keatonβs cold gaze made Thomas Grantβs scalp tingle.
Really, he hadnβt expected the lady would fake her death.
It didnβt matter; it was good that she wasnβt dead.
But the crucial point was her fake death had awoken the sleeping lion.
Seeing Lord Keatonβs current aura, there might be casualties wherever he went.
"Since sheβs not dead, even if we have to dig three feet deep, we must find her."
As for what to do once they find her, Kyle Keaton didnβt say.
But from his murderous demeanor, Thomas Grant guessed that once they found the lady, she would at least lose a layer of skin if not her life.
And so, Kyle Keaton and his team set off for Aethelgard.
A month later, at a top private club in Desrozin Cityβ
A mysterious veiled girl was chatting animatedly with a refined, handsome man.
"I feel much better now, so you donβt have to keep coming here. Your status is different now."
Someone now directly ascended to President, reportedly even topping the list of the countryβs eligible billionaires!
"Different status or not, Iβm still me. I also have the right to pursue who I love..."
Roman Kidd took a sip of the tea prepared by the veiled girl, his fiery gaze resting unabashedly on July Quinn.
