After exchanging pleasantries with the staff, Leslie Howard, with her cloud-like wavy long hair cascading down, walked gracefully in seven-inch high heels to stand before David Redington.

Leslie curled her lips into a bright smile, as if she hadn’t seen David’s hand, pointed to other staff nearby, ready to walk past him.

Just then, a voice, untimely, suddenly echoed from behind, halting her steps.

"Sister, it’s been so long since we two sisters acted together, it truly makes me happy to cooperate with you." Winona Wallace, appearing out of nowhere, stood behind Leslie.

She had been closely observing Leslie and David’s interactions.

Because this drama was not only a stepping stone for advancing Winona’s career but also her best chance to make the eldest son of the Reddington family fall for her.

Hence, anyone who could possibly threaten her ’relationship’ with David was her prime enemy.

Moreover, Leslie had acted with David before, her face easily portrayed innocence, deceiving others.

Winona worried Leslie might have some previous rapport with David, so the moment she saw them talking, she intervened.

"Sister?" Leslie paused, looked back at Winona.

She lightly arched an eyebrow, her eyes filled with undisguised mockery: "Winona, did you take the wrong medicine today? Usually, you’re either calling me by name or ’the unwanted one’. When did you change, and start calling me sister? Speaking so politely, I’m really not used to it."

"Where’s this coming from, sister... Usually, aren’t I just joking with you?" Winona’s composed smile nearly faltered.

Fortunately, she remained calm under pressure, seeing David furrowed brow watching from behind Leslie.

She had heard David liked refined ladies from good families, so she couldn’t ruin her image.

Though accommodating Leslie, Winona’s gaze remained fixed on David.

Leslie looked back at the man standing behind, seemingly unaffected.

Immediately, she understood what Winona’s motives were.

"You like David, hoping to catch him?" She stepped forward and lowered her voice to ask.
