It tried to flee when it saw him, but he skillfully threw a stone that struck its neck, breaking it instantly.
Looking at the pheasant, Liu Ergou hesitated for a moment before deciding to make Beggar's Chicken. He deftly gutted and plucked the bird, found some yellow mud nearby, and coated the pheasant completely. Then, he casually started a fire by drilling wood. While this was normally a difficult task, for the current Liu Ergou, the difficulty was practically zero.
Soon, Liu Ergou tossed the mud-caked pheasant into the fire pit.
After more than an hour of cooking, the pheasant was finally ready. As Liu Ergou cracked open the hardened mud shell, a tantalizing aroma immediately wafted into his nostrils.
Just as Liu Ergou was about to dig in, a shadow fell over him. Then, Ning Hua's low voice sounded.
"Well, Liu Ergou, you seem to be living it up, don't you? Even found time for a barbecue!" she said. "I'm afraid you don't know this yet, but you're about to be in a world of trouble!"
Hearing that familiar voice, Liu Ergou's first instinct was to run. However, having been tricked once already, Ning Hua wasn't about to let Liu Ergou escape a second time. No sooner had he taken a step than she unleashed a Flying Swallow Piercing Heart Kick, knocking him flat on the ground.

Hearing his smug tone only made Ning Hua angrier. "Let me go, now! Do you hear me? If you don't, I swear I'll kick you to death when I get up!"
Liu Ergou just shook his head. "Senior Sister, do you take me for a fool? If I let you go, you'll definitely try to kick me to death. I'd rather just stay like this than get kicked. Besides, it's not like either of us can do anything to the other right now!"
His words left Ning Hua speechless.
That… that… The little bastard has a point! I can't even think of a good reason to refute him! This… Damn it!
At this thought, Ning Hua roared in frustration, "Liu Ergou! Let me go right now! Do you think this is a dignified position for a girl to be in?!"
