In the next second, beads of cold sweat covered Xu Yulan’s forehead.
She spoke to Liu Er Gou in an anxious tone, "Er Gou, I know you’ve been thinking about your sister-in-law, but not today!"
"Be good and go back for now. You can come find your sister-in-law another day, okay? I’ll be waiting for you!"

After resting for a good while, Xu Yulan finally stood up slowly, steadying herself against the wall as she began to clean up the mess.
By this time, Liu Er Gou had already returned to the main room, carrying two cups of water. He placed one cup in front of Lu Shuangyue and the other in front of Ning Hua.
Then he said with a smile, "Sorry for the delay, I was just boiling some water for you two. Here, have a drink and rest a bit more. I’ll take you to your rooms afterward. It’s been a long day, so you should get some rest. We can talk about everything else tomorrow."
Ning Hua naturally had no objections and was happy to follow Liu Er Gou’s arrangements.
