Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 74: Don’t Cry
Mika Summers had been sobbing nonstop, but upon hearing her brother’s words, she immediately pushed him away. "Divorce?"
"Don’t tell me you still want to be with him?"
"That’s not it..." ’They were already divorced. How could they get divorced again?’
"Whether you agree or not, you have to get this divorce. A man like Tristan Grayson is completely wrong for you," Archie Summers said angrily, seeing Mika’s reluctance.
’Of course she knew they were completely wrong for each other.’
"Mika, this situation today... I’m guessing it’s not the first time, is it? Mika, you are a daughter of the Summers Family. You can’t live without dignity like this." Although he hadn’t yet figured out why Tristan Grayson knew Mika, or why he had married her, he was convinced Tristan had done it just to use her.
’Yes, I can’t live without dignity like this. My brother is right. Absolutely right.’
She gave a self-deprecating smile and said softly, "Brother, I’ll agree to the divorce. But can we please wait until after Grandma’s funeral is over?"
"Alright, Mika. I hope you keep your word."
"I will."
Archie Summers nodded. He reached out to ruffle her hair and said softly, "Come on. Mom and Dad haven’t seen you in a long time. They miss you."
"Mom and Dad?" Mika Summers looked at Archie Summers in surprise.
Seeing Mika’s reaction, Archie Summers knew she was scared. "Mom and Dad don’t know you’re married. You don’t have to worry."
"Brother... thank you..." Hearing his words, she was so moved she started crying again.
Seeing Mika cry so heartbreakingly, he knew that this girl must have suffered a great deal over the years.
He placed both hands on Mika’s shoulders and said seriously, "Mika, your mistakes are my mistakes. Just remember, you’re my sister, Archie Summers’ sister. You don’t have to be afraid of anyone. I’m here for you, no matter what. So whatever you want to do, just do it boldly and don’t worry about the consequences. No one will dare lay a finger on you."
"Brother..." Mika cried even harder.
’Even if what her brother said was a bit of an exaggeration, she was still incredibly, deeply moved.’
’Because she had a good brother.’
Archie Summers raised his hand to wipe away her tears, saying tenderly, "Silly girl, don’t cry. You’re still the same as when you were little, crying at the drop of a hat."
Meanwhile, his other hand, hidden from Mika’s view, was clenched into a tight fist, his eyes glinting with a ruthless cold. ’Tristan Grayson, you’ll regret treating Mika like this one day.’
Tristan Grayson was halfway to his destination when he felt something was wrong. He had a nagging feeling that something was missing, but he couldn’t for the life of him remember what it was.
It was Henry Archer who finally slapped his thigh and cried out in alarm, "Boss! Where’s the Young Madam?"
At his words, Tristan Grayson’s expression instantly turned dangerously cold. ’So it was *that woman* who was missing? No wonder I’ve felt uneasy ever since I got in the car, like something was missing.’
He whipped the car around, slammed on the brakes, and screeched to a halt on the side of the road before roaring at Henry Archer, "Get out!"
"Huh?"
"Get out of the car now!" Tristan Grayson roared again.
A terrified Henry Archer scrambled out of the car. Rubbing his head with a look of utter innocence, he asked, "Boss, why did you make me get out?"
"Find the Young Madam and bring her home safely. If you don’t, you can come in tomorrow to resign!" After tossing out this cold command, Tristan Grayson sped off.
Leaving Henry Archer standing alone and dazed on the side of the road.
’The boss was the one who lost the Young Madam, so what does that have to do with me? Why am I the one who has to find her?’
’Oh, for crying out loud, why is my life so hard?’
