Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Fate

’Fate? She wanted no part of this "fate."’

Mika Summers ignored him and tried to walk past, wanting to leave. She never had much to say to strangers.

But just then, the two men who had come with Chase Sinclair, seeing that he hadn’t caught up, turned back and urged him on impatiently, "Chase, what’s taking you so long?"

"Did you run into a pretty girl or something?" one of them asked, raising an eyebrow as he teased Chase, his eyes landing on the woman beside him.

As they spoke, the two of them hurried over. When they saw it was Mika Summers...

...they gasped. "Chase, how dare you mess with her? Don’t you know she’s Young Master Grayson’s woman?"

"Let’s go, let’s go! Just leave her alone. If Young Master Grayson sees this, you’re in for it." The two of them grabbed Chase by the arms and tried to hurry away.

Watching them flee as if she were the plague, Mika Summers gave a self-deprecating smile and headed for the mall entrance.

But before she could leave, she saw Tristan Grayson standing at the entrance, his face dark.

Thinking of the scene that had just unfolded, she panicked. ’Is he going to misunderstand again?’

Tristan Grayson strode toward her.

With every step he took, her heart hammered with tension and fear.

Tristan Grayson reached her, took her hand, and started walking in the direction Chase and his friends had gone.

Seeing that Tristan Grayson was going to settle the score with them, Mika grew anxious. He could do whatever he wanted to her, but she didn’t want him dragging outsiders into this.

So, she mustered her courage and said, "Um, I don’t know him. He’s the one who came up to talk to me." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Tristan Grayson acted as if he hadn’t heard a word, continuing to pull her forward.

Seeing that he didn’t believe her, Mika explained again, "I have nothing to do with him. I didn’t even talk to him just now."

Tristan Grayson still ignored her, but he sneered inwardly. ’Of course I saw you didn’t talk to him. If you had dared to, this wouldn’t be ending so simply.’

"Tristan Grayson, I’ve already explained! What more do you want?!" Seeing that he wouldn’t listen no matter what she said, and with them about to catch up to Chase and his friends, Mika couldn’t hold back any longer and roared at him.

Her shout instantly drew the attention of the other shoppers in the mall.

All heads turned to look at them.

That included Chase Sinclair and his friends, who, upon hearing Tristan Grayson’s name, whipped their heads around in fright.

Seeing his goal was achieved, Tristan Grayson’s lips curved into a wicked smile. He raised a hand, gently caressing her lips, and spoke in a deeply seductive voice. "This." Before Mika could process what was happening, he had already bent down, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her.

"Mmph—" Mika’s eyes flew wide with shock, her body rigid as she received his kiss.

Tristan Grayson pulled back slightly from her red lips and continued in that enchanting voice, "Good girl. Behave. Close your eyes."

As if under a spell, Mika obediently closed her eyes.

Satisfied, Tristan Grayson pulled her even tighter and deepened the kiss with renewed passion.

A short distance away, Chase watched this "perfect picture" unfold, merely smiling sardonically. He turned to his friends, affecting a casual tone. "We’ve seen enough of the show. Let’s go."

"Chase, I never would’ve guessed Young Master Grayson was so good at handling women," one of them, a man named Quentin Miller, said with a look of envy.

The other, Shawn Archer, said dismissively, "A rich young master like Grayson is naturally going to be better at wooing women than we are. Just look at Master Jennings."
