At Gia Miller’s call, everyone began to file out of the room, chatting and laughing as they went.
Gia Miller, still smiling as she leaned against Cassian Jennings, noticed Mika Summers hadn’t moved. She fluttered her eyelashes and asked with a grin, "Mika, want to come have some fun with us?"
"..." Mika was at a loss, not knowing how to refuse. For her, dancing was a real challenge.
’But what if I refuse? Will that make Tristan unhappy? He needs to talk business with his friends, so he probably doesn’t want me hanging around anyway. Forget it. Even if that’s not the case, going with them is much better than staying here with Tristan Grayson.’ With that thought, she decided to get up and go out with Gia Miller.
Just then, Tristan Grayson’s hand suddenly tightened around her waist. He turned his head to Gia Miller and said coldly, "She doesn’t know how. You all go have fun."
Hearing this, Gia Miller pushed Cassian Jennings away, stepping out of his embrace. She feigned surprise and said to Tristan Grayson, "Wow, Young Master Grayson, this isn’t easy. Are you actually gracing me with a conversation?"
Cassian Jennings immediately noticed the impatience and suppressed anger in Tristan Grayson’s eyes. He quickly grabbed Gia Miller, saying with a disgruntled smile, "Gia, your favoritism is a little too obvious, isn’t it? Ditching me the second Tristan’s around? Don’t forget, I’m your one true love." As he spoke, Cassian forcibly turned her body away.
Gia Miller burst out laughing with a "PFFT." "Yes, yes, you’re my one true love. I can abandon anyone, but I could never abandon Master Jennings."
Just like that, the tense atmosphere in the room was instantly dissipated by the antics of the two clowns, Cassian Jennings and Gia Miller.
Everyone began to tease the pair. Though they weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend, the two were inseparable wherever they went.
One of the guys, feeling bold, started to heckle them. "Master Jennings, you two aren’t getting any younger, and you’re both still single. Why not just make it official with Gia tonight, especially with Tristan here to see it? Just get together already!"
"Haha, that’s right! Master Jennings, you should just hurry up and marry Gia!"
...But as laughter filled the room, the door was suddenly kicked open with a loud BANG.
Before anyone had a chance to see who was being so bold, a woman charged in, grabbed a handful of Gia Miller’s hair, and swung her hand for a sharp slap.
After landing the blow, she spat to the side in disgust and snarled, "Pah! You shameless slut!"
Gia Miller was completely stunned by the assault. Hit and insulted, she didn’t fight back or even retort, simply clutching her face as she stared at the madwoman before her, her eyes welling with red.
Everyone else in the room was completely astonished.
If this had happened in the past, anyone who dared to lay a hand on Gia Miller would have been beaten to within an inch of their life. Even if she didn’t cripple them, she’d leave them half-dead. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
But now, Gia Miller wasn’t even fighting back...
"Amelia Avery, are you fucking crazy?!" It was Cassian Jennings who, upon recognizing the newcomer, exploded in fury. He shoved Amelia away and roared in anger.
Amelia Avery didn’t back down, her eyes red as she stared daggers at Cassian Jennings. "Yes, that’s right, I am crazy." ’She’d rushed straight here after school without so much as a sip of water, only to arrive and hear that they were getting together. How could she *not* be crazy?’
Mika Summers was so frightened by the scene before her that she didn’t dare make a sound. With a troubled expression, she glanced at Tristan beside her, only to find that he hadn’t even lifted his head through the entire ordeal, as if everything happening had nothing to do with him.
