Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 51: Serious
Her eyes were red and her expression numb as she stared at her swollen hands. A bitter smile touched the corners of her lips.
’Was it really necessary for him to humiliate me like this, just because someone touched me?’
"Are they clean now? Can I go home today?"
Tristan Grayson seemed tired. He nodded, took two steps back, and casually shoved his hands into his pants pockets.
But when Mika Summers wasn’t looking, his brow furrowed slightly.
The hands in his pockets were actually just as red and swollen as Mika’s. While they were washing, he had covered her hands with his, so his were in no better shape than hers.
’He didn’t know what was wrong with him. When he saw that Chase Sinclair guy stop this woman and ask to be friends, he had wanted nothing more than to rush over and beat Chase to a pulp.’
’But he’d held back. This wasn’t the kind of anger he should be feeling.’
’Especially not for a woman like her.’
But when Chase Sinclair stuffed his business card into her hand, all of Tristan’s suppressed fury had finally broken loose.
’He’d felt that those fair, delicate hands were so eye-catching, so... dirty.’
Seeing him silent, leaning lazily against the wall with his eyes downcast, Mika Summers suddenly found him incredibly attractive. ’He really is handsome,’ she thought. ’A single, casual gesture from him is enough to leave me utterly captivated, to make me forget who I am—and to forget how cruelly he just treated and humiliated me.’
At that thought, she let out a self-deprecating laugh and quickly averted her gaze. "Well, I’ll be heading back now."
"I’ll take you."
Without waiting for her to move, Tristan Grayson walked out of the restroom ahead of her.
Mika Summers stared at Tristan Grayson’s back in astonishment. ’He’s going to take me home?’
Tristan Grayson walked out of the restroom, assuming the woman would follow. But after walking some distance, he realized something was wrong. No one was behind him.
He frowned in confusion. Just as he was about to turn back to find her, someone called out from behind, "Tristan!"
Tristan Grayson recognized the voice instantly. His already grim expression darkened even further. After a few seconds of silence, he spun around and roared, "Cassian Jennings, you’d better have something important!"
Cassian Jennings was in the middle of whispering to the two beauties in his arms and was badly startled by Tristan’s shout.
"What’s wrong? I didn’t do anything to offend you, Young Master Grayson," Cassian Jennings said defensively, quickly pushing the two women away.
Tristan Grayson sneered and walked toward Cassian Jennings. "That guy, Chase Sinclair. Are you two close?"
"Chase Sinclair? Him? We’re on okay terms, I guess. We’ve raced together before." Not realizing the danger he was in, Cassian Jennings shrugged and answered casually.
"So, you’re close with him?" 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Something suddenly occurred to Cassian Jennings. He raised an eyebrow, a gossipy look on his face. "Yeah, why? Did he piss you off?"
"Cassian Jennings, make a choice. You can either keep being friends with him, or with me."
"Is... is it that serious?" Cassian Jennings suddenly felt completely innocent. ’Chase Sinclair is the one who pissed off Tristan, so why am I the one getting dragged into it?’
"Think it over carefully." With that, Tristan Grayson turned his back on Cassian Jennings without a second glance and started back to find Mika Summers.
But when he turned around, he saw Mika Summers standing right behind him, watching.
His handsome face flushed, and he suddenly felt like he’d been caught red-handed.
