Everyone in the car looked grim after hearing what Mika Summers said.

This was especially true for Archie Summers. He snapped his laptop shut and looked up at Mika, his face grim.

’So, my sister thinks I’m a gangster.’

’I’m this handsome, how could I possibly look like a gangster? Mika’s logic is really something else.’

Seeing Archie Summers’s grim expression only made Mika Summers more certain of her suspicions. "Archie... if something happens to you, what will I do...? How could I ever face Mom and Dad...?"

Suppressing his fury, Archie Summers lowered his voice and said flatly, "Mika, in your eyes, is your brother just some gangster?"

"—" ’Well, isn’t he? If he weren’t a gangster, how would he know people like this?’ But even though Mika Summers thought it, she didn’t dare say it out loud, afraid of making him angry. "Um... Archie, that’s not what I meant..."

Even without asking, Archie Summers could guess why Mika would think that.

He hadn’t returned to the country in over a decade. Then he suddenly shows up, unannounced, and is now some kind of "boss." It was only natural that Mika couldn’t accept it.

Originally, his plan had been to hide this from Mika. He would wait until he had arranged for her and their parents to move abroad, then slowly explain everything once they were safely overseas. That way, they wouldn’t be frightened.

But clearly, word of his return had leaked before he even arrived. Their parents had disappeared, and he’d had no choice but to have his people show up to protect Mika.

At this thought, he sighed. "Mika, I have some business to attend to. Louise Jordan will stay with you for the next few days."

"Archie, where are you going...?" She subconsciously grabbed Archie Summers’s arm.

"Mika, I’ve been abroad all these years and rarely had time to come back to see Mom and Dad. This time, I think it’s time to bring them to live with me overseas."

"You’re going to get Mom and Dad?"

He smiled and nodded. "Not just Mom and Dad. You, too. Our whole family is going to live together from now on." ’My sister’s grown into such a stunning woman. I’ll definitely have to keep a close eye on her from now on. What happened last night can absolutely never be allowed to happen again.’

Mika Summers was about to say something, but just then the car pulled over to the side of the road. The man in the driver’s seat quickly got out, walked around to her brother’s side, and bent down to open the door.

Archie Summers reached out and ruffled her hair, then grabbed his laptop and got out of the car.

For a long moment, she couldn’t snap out of it and process what her brother had just said.

’Bring us overseas to live with him??’

’Did Archie come back this time just to take their whole family away?’

After getting out of the car, Archie Summers rounded a corner and climbed into the black Hyundai that had been following them.

He got into the car, leaned back against the seat with his eyes closed, and said nothing.

The man in the passenger seat, Howard Rhodes, glanced back cautiously. "Boss?"

"What did you find? Out with it," Archie Summers said coldly, his eyes still closed.

"Boss, about the man who was with Miss Summers... they aren’t actually roommates."

At that, Archie Summers’s eyes snapped open, a dark glint flashing within them. "I know," he answered, his voice low. ’He’d long suspected that a man that dangerous wouldn’t be renting a room somewhere.’

’In that case, he and Mika must be dating.’

Howard Rhodes clutched the documents in his hand, squeezed his eyes shut, and steeled himself. "They aren’t boyfriend and girlfriend, either."

’They aren’t dating either????’ Archie Summers’s eyes were bloodshot. "Stop stringing me along and spit it out! Who the hell is he, and what does he want with Mika!"
