Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 150: Worry
Tiana pouted and complained, "Mom, you’re playing favorites! I’m your own daughter, you know."
"Doesn’t matter if you’re my own daughter. A daughter is dear, but not as dear as my sweet little grandbaby."
Tiana laughed in resignation. "Okay, okay, okay... I won’t compete with my little nephew for your affection..."
Listening to the conversation between her mother-in-law and Tiana, Mika Summers couldn’t help but laugh. "Pfft—Mom, Tiana, it’s a little early to be saying that. We don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl yet."
"Mika, please don’t get the wrong idea," Mae Lynch said quickly, worried her daughter-in-law might be offended. "The Grayson family doesn’t favor boys over girls. We’d be happy with either."
Tiana looked up and chimed in, "Yeah, that’s right. And a little niece might be even more thoughtful..."
Mika Summers nodded, her heart filled with warmth... ’It’s so wonderful to have a mother-in-law like her...’
They took care of the discharge paperwork that morning, and then she and Tiana left the hospital. Since Tristan wasn’t around, her mother-in-law insisted she come to the Grayson family home to rest and recover, so she had no choice but to agree.
After returning to the Grayson home, aside from coming downstairs for meals, she spent the rest of her time resting in her room. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Sitting on her bed, she clutched her phone. She wanted to call Tristan, she’d almost done it several times, but she always held back. ’Tristan doesn’t like immature women, and he especially hates it when I bother him while he’s working...’
Even though she missed him terribly and wanted to ask when he would be back, she couldn’t summon the courage. She was afraid he would get annoyed with her, that he would be angry.

Tristan Grayson watched as Maggie Monroe finally drifted off to sleep. With a sigh, he carefully pulled his hand away from her grasp, then wearily pinched the bridge of his nose before getting up and walking out of the room.
He wasn’t sure what had gotten into Maggie these past two days. She had been incredibly clingy, refusing to sleep unless she was holding his hand.
He sat on a chair in the corridor and pulled out his phone. His immediate impulse was to call that woman. The moment the call connected, however, he hastily ended it, his eyes filled with a complicated expression.
On the other end of the line, Mika Summers’s eyes lit up with joy when she saw the name on her screen. But before she could swipe to answer, the call ended. Her brow furrowed, a wave of disappointment and sorrow washing over her. ’Maybe Tristan just misdialed? He’s so busy with work... would he really have time to call me?’
’Obviously not, or he wouldn’t have hung up the second it connected.’
Just then, her phone rang again. Seeing the familiar name, her heart suddenly skipped a beat. This time, she didn’t hesitate for a second and quickly answered the call. "Hello?"
"It’s me..." There was a brief silence on the other end before his familiar, slightly hoarse voice came through.
Her eyes immediately reddened, and her voice caught in her throat. "Mm... I know... Tristan..."
Hearing the catch in her voice, Tristan Grayson asked with a hint of worry, "How have you been feeling these last couple of days?"
"I’m fine, you don’t need to worry about me." She answered with a smile, a warm happiness spreading through her heart.
"I’m not worried about you. I’m worried about our child." Tristan Grayson was deeply frustrated. ’I can’t let her know I’m worried about her,’ he thought suddenly. ’I’m afraid she’ll start hoping for more, when there’s already no future for us...’
The warmth that had filled her vanished in an instant. A dull ache spread through her chest, but she forced a smile and replied faintly, "Oh... I see."
"Just focus on taking care of yourself..."
Tristan Grayson was halfway through his sentence when Maggie Monroe suddenly screamed from inside the hospital room, "Tristan... don’t, don’t, don’t leave me...!"
