Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 122: Unconventional
Aiden Avery didn’t want to admit the Joyce family was powerful, so he arrogantly crossed his arms, leaned back against the seat, and said dismissively, "The Avery family is more than enough to handle the Millers..."
"Yes, but our family will definitely be affected too..."
Amelia’s words left Aiden speechless. From the driver’s seat, Tristan Grayson let out a derisive laugh. "Aiden, it looks like your sister has more brains than you do."
"Just drive the car!" Aiden glared at Tristan.
Tristan’s expression hardened. He slammed on the brakes, bringing the car to a halt. "Get out!"
A chorus of screeching tires and blaring horns erupted behind them. Aiden clutched his chest, saying furiously, "Tristan, have you lost your mind? You might have a death wish, but we don’t!"
"Both of you, get out here. I have to get to the hospital." ’I cleared my whole schedule to help him find his sister, and it seems he doesn’t appreciate it one bit.’
The mention of the hospital made Aiden’s expression soften slightly. He offered a humorless smile. "This is my car. If you’re going to the hospital, I’m going too!"
"The hospital? Tristan, are you sick?" Unlike her brother, Amelia wasn’t so calm. She looked at Tristan with concern in her eyes and asked quietly.
"He’s not sick. His wife is pregnant."
Amelia said excitedly, "She’s pregnant? Your wife is pregnant? Then I want to go to the hospital too! Tristan, I want to see her."
"Both of you, get out... You are... not going... to the hospital..." Tristan felt a migraine coming on. ’How could I be stupid enough to bring her old flame to see her?’
"Brother, what should we do? Tristan won’t let us go..." Amelia whispered, secretly tugging on Aiden’s arm.
"Then we can just sneak over later by ourselves." Aiden pretended to whisper to Amelia, but he spoke just loud enough for Tristan to hear.
Tristan’s brow furrowed in exasperation. ’This guy, Aiden... he really will say and do anything.’
’Falling out with Cassian Jennings over Gia Miller was one thing, but now he’s brazenly trying to steal my wife right in front of me? Does he really want me to be a cuckold?’
Tristan furiously slammed his hand on the steering wheel, started the engine, and sped toward the hospital.
His scheme having succeeded, Aiden leaned back smugly in his seat and closed his eyes to rest.
Amelia, however, sat beside him, a little puzzled. ’Something seems off about my brother and Tristan today...’
「In the hospital.」
Caleb Grayson and Mae Lynch waited until Mika Summers finished her porridge before leaving, finally feeling at ease.
Lying in bed, Mika saw Tiana’s distracted expression and offered some comfort. "Don’t worry. I’m sure they’ll find Amelia."
Tiana suddenly looked up, her eyes red. Her voice caught as she said, "Mika, am I just... weird? Every time Amelia’s upset and wants to go out to clear her head, I never dare to go with her. Isn’t a good friend supposed to be there for her when she’s sad and feeling down?"
"Why would you think that?" Mika frowned, her heart aching for the girl. ’In truth, I’m actually a little envious of Tiana. At least she has a good friend to confide in. I don’t even have that.’
"I just feel so useless. At school, I have Amelia and bodyguards to protect me. Once I leave school grounds, I just stay home, too afraid to go anywhere. I really feel so useless, so strange." ’She was envious of Amelia, who could live so freely, doing whatever she wanted.’
