Chapter 182: 182. If you’re not strong enough, use a cheat!

"There’s no problem with a fair win or loss," Lin Fan said, his face impassive as his gaze swept across the furious faces before him. "What’s ridiculous is that you lost to a bunch of cheaters. Yet not only are you clueless, you’re even defending them?" A mocking smile touched his lips as he shook his head. "How is that any different from being sold and then helping to count the money?"

"Hah! I think you’re just a sore loser, so you’re trying to slander us!"

Before Fatty Chu and his companions could respond, Kim Sooeun strode over with her entourage, arms crossed and scoffing with disdain.

"Just admit defeat," Liew Zhilong said coldly. "You saw what happened to them. If you don’t want to end up crippled, get on your knees outside."

"We didn’t want to cause a major incident in the Imperial Capital. It was you people from Xia Country who deliberately came looking for trouble, forcing us to defend ourselves," the hall manager said, a hint of pride on his chubby face.

"You’re the ones who kept causing trouble, and now you’re facing the consequences. Wake up, you trash from Xia Country!"

BOOM!

At these words, Fatty Chu and the others gritted their teeth so hard it was audible, yet they were powerless to retort. Only Xia Bingbing gazed at Lin Fan with hopeful eyes, praying he would act again and crush their arrogant spirit.

"Don’t worry," Lin Fan said, meeting Xia Bingbing’s lovely eyes with a faint smile. "They don’t dare to step up. I’ll go." He then took the initiative and walked toward Pei Jun.

"Hahaha, he’s absolutely courting death!"

"He dares to challenge Senior Pei? This Lin Fan guy is a real idiot!"

The Taekwondo Gym members sneered contemptuously at the sight.

Kim Sooeun and her two companions exchanged glances, sharing a malicious grin now that their scheme had succeeded. They had actually been afraid Lin Fan might back out at the last second, robbing them of their excuse to teach him a brutal lesson. For him to walk to his death like this was simply delightful.

"Xia Bingbing, hurry up and get that pretty boy down from there! Are you really going to watch him die?" Fatty Chu hissed, gritting his teeth. "Worst-case scenario, I’ll take the fall! I’ll admit defeat and get on my knees to apologize to them!"

"Little girl, this isn’t a game! Lin Fan might have some skill, but he’s no match for that Pei Jun!" Master Jiang urged with a grim face.

"Exactly! Tell him to come back right now! He needs to stop showing off! Treating my injuries is what’s most important!" Master Yang, still on Jiang’s back, added anxiously.

"Have you all got so little faith in Lin Fan? He defeated the combined forces of the Imperial Capital’s Four War Gods, taking down each one with a single move!" Xia Bingbing retorted, shooting a disdainful glare at the three men.

"You! At a time like this, you’re still spouting nonsense for him... Hmph, forget it. If he wants to die, that’s his business. It’s not like I’m forcing him," Fatty Chu muttered under his breath, his face dark. He couldn’t be bothered to argue anymore.

Master Yang and Master Jiang just shook their heads. The way the three of them looked at Lin Fan was as if they were looking at a dead man.

"Have you thought this through? Even your three masters have given up, yet you still dare to challenge me?" At this point, Pei Jun put on his gold-rimmed glasses, a mocking smile on his face. "I didn’t even use ten percent of my strength in that last punch." He stroked the large black iron ring on his finger, his lips curled in a cold smirk.

"Then I’ll have to see for myself. After all, besides that guy on the second floor, you seem to be the strongest one here, right?" Lin Fan said with an indifferent expression, a silver needle already clasped discreetly between his fingers.

SWISH!

In an instant, Lin Fan flicked his finger. The silver needle became a fleeting shadow, piercing deep into Pei Jun’s iron ring and even puncturing his skin!

"You... what did you do to me?!"

BZZT! BZZT-BZZT!

Pei Jun’s smirk froze, and his entire body convulsed. Just a moment ago, he had noticed Lin Fan’s subtle movement but had thought nothing of it, not even bothering to dodge. Now, the iron ring on his hand was malfunctioning, erratically discharging high-voltage electrical pulses! To make matters worse, the synthetic leather finger guard he was wearing had suddenly failed, no longer providing any insulation.

He glanced down, his pupils constricting in shock. His face twisted with rage. "Ah, shit!"

Unbeknownst to him, a slender silver needle was now stuck in the iron ring. The crucial part was that it had not only penetrated the surface of the ring but had also pierced through his finger guard. It was acting like a conductor, channeling the current from the ring directly into the skin of his finger!

As Pei Jun desperately tried to turn off the ring’s switch, his efforts were in vain. The uncontrolled current only made his face turn deathly pale as his body trembled nonstop, as if he were having a seizure. Amused by the sight, Lin Fan couldn’t help but ask mockingly, "Oh? Why are you trembling? I haven’t even made a move, and you’re already this scared?"

"I... I..." Pei Jun stammered, a look of profound agony on his face. Even as a Mid Ming Jin master, he couldn’t withstand the continuous assault of high-voltage electrical pulses. In just a few moments, he was drenched in sweat and convulsing violently.

THUD!

Finally, with a miserable scream, Pei Jun collapsed to the ground, foaming at the mouth and twitching uncontrollably from the electric shock.

GASP...!

Holy hell! What... what just happened?!

This bizarre turn of events left everyone in the room staring, dumbfounded, their eyes practically popping out of their sockets. Fatty Chu and Master Yang wore expressions of utter disbelief. Xia Bingbing was also stunned, her lips parted in shock. Across from them, Kim Sooeun and her group exchanged bewildered glances as if they had just seen a ghost.

"I haven’t even attacked yet, and you’ve already pissed yourself?" Lin Fan took a step forward, his gaze landing on Pei Jun’s wet crotch. He shook his head with a look of disgust.

"I... I didn’t... AHH! It’s not because I was scared of you! I... AHHH!" Pei Jun screamed, trying desperately to explain while his eyes rolled back in his head. He looked so utterly frustrated he seemed ready to explode.

"Pei Jun is having an asthma attack! Take him to get his medicine!" Jiang Taizhong ordered coldly from the second floor, his brow furrowed.

"Yes, yes! Student Pei had a sudden medical episode! The match is temporarily called off!" Upon hearing this, Liew Zhilong, standing beside Kim Sooeun, snapped back to reality and quickly signaled to the other students.

"What a coincidence. I know a bit of medicine. I can help treat Pei Jun." Just as Pei Jun was gritting his teeth and scrambling toward a corner, Lin Fan finally laughed, stepping forward and planting his foot firmly on the hem of Pei Jun’s uniform.

"AHHH... Ah, shit! Let go! AHHH!! LET ME GO!!!" Pei Jun was already crying out in pain, drenched in sweat. A foul stench rose from his lower body, a clear sign he had lost control of his bladder and bowels. Seeing he couldn’t break free, he finally gave in and reached a trembling hand into his uniform.

RIP!

In that instant, Lin Fan’s eyes went cold. His foot shot out, viciously tearing Pei Jun’s loose Taekwondo uniform to shreds! It exposed several lithium batteries strapped to his waist and a thick black wire running down to his hand!

The gym fell silent. A moment later, an uproar erupted!

No wonder Master Song’s Golden Bell Shield couldn’t withstand Pei Jun’s seemingly light punch. Who would have guessed he was using a goddamn taser!

"Holy shit, so he really was cheating!" Fatty Chu yelled, slapping his own forehead.

Master Yang and Master Jiang were completely stunned. They exchanged a look of shock and anger, their faces burning with shame as they remembered their earlier words.

"No, this can’t be! It’s impossible!" Kim Sooeun shrieked, unable to accept reality.

The hall manager and the others had grim expressions, their smiles long gone.

"So this is the world’s number one Taekwondo from Goryeo? It even comes with built-in tasers?" Xia Bingbing chuckled, deliberately looking at Kim Sooeun’s group.

"Pei Jun, how dare you cheat?" Both Kim Sooeun and the hall manager turned their heads away, their faces beet red with shame and anger. The Taekwondo students who had been cheering wildly for Pei Jun now hung their heads, too ashamed to speak.

Liew Zhilong’s expression was as foul as if he had swallowed a fly. His eyes darkened, and he strode forward.

CRACK!

He brought his foot down mercilessly, intending to crush Pei Jun’s neck and silence him for good!

"In such a hurry to destroy the evidence?" In a flash, Lin Fan reacted, kicking the screaming Pei Jun out of the way just in time. Liew Zhilong’s foot slammed into the wooden floor instead, leaving a deep footprint.

"No, I didn’t cheat! I didn’t cheat! This... this is just my electronic therapy device!" Pei Jun finally stopped wailing. He ripped the lithium batteries and the black wire from his waist, but he was too weak to stand, remaining helplessly on the ground. He stammered out a hoarse defense, his face flushed with shame, unable to meet anyone’s gaze.

"You’ve been electrocuted to the point of soiling yourself, and you’re still denying it? A classic case of making up for a lack of skill with cheats." Ignoring Liew Zhilong’s murderous glare, Lin Fan frowned and shook his head. He then turned to face Quan Songyong, who was now rushing over from the other side of the gym.

This guy’s tough. He recovered so quickly? Good. In that case, I’ll expose all you cheating Goryeo bastards on the spot!
