Divine Heritage: Only I Can Judge The gods-Chapter 122: Unbreakable
"Move! Faster! Keep moving, keep moving maggots!"
"You over there! You’ll be dying first if you don’t move those skinny legs of yours!"
"Tanks! Where are the fucking tanks?!"
First squadron was in disarray after the announcement was made to them. A double apocalypse descent was on the way and they were sorely unprepared for it.
Situations like these were very rare, so rare that it had only been recorded twice in history. The good thing about it was that the apocalypse would end after the two waves, the bad news was that they might die in the process.
Thalia was standing at the battlement overseeing the city. Her serpentine red armour glinted under the light, appearing even more ominous underneath the red glow.
She let out a tired sigh, multiple thoughts moving through her kind at once.
Normally, it could take multiple days in between waves of the apocalypse. This gave the soldiers time to service weapons, restock on ammunition and recover from the attack.
A single wave was already so overwhelming that Thalia wasn’t even hundreds percent sure of the survival of some of the shelters.
This was too much...
"I’m going," Thalia said, staring in a certain direction.
Due to how much she had grown her spirit core, Thalia had become very sensitive to essence. That was how she was able to tell in what direction the gate had opened.
Natasha who was beside her shook her head vehemently, a worried expression on her face as she spoke.
"You can’t go, you would never survive it!"
Natasha smiled, her crimson eyes gleaming with ambition.
"Oh? You’re doubting your vice commander?"
"Thalia!"
Thalia sighed as she watched the young woman. It was not like she was wrong, but if they wanted to have even the slimmest chance of surviving bothe waves, the. She had to do something very risky...
She had to take out the wave boss before it got anywhere near any shelter. Wave bosses were not just powerful because they were tough, they were game changing elements because of how much influence they exerted on the beasts.
A beast under the control of a wave boss was immensely more powerful than a regular beast. That was why she had to kill it—
Still, dying would equally doom the squads to certain death and Thalia had no plans on dying anytime soon.
The plan was simple, Thalia would carry out a collaborative attack with all the squads to hopefully thin out their numbers.
But this attack would just be a diversion to take attention away from the horde boss. It would be a hit and run exercise— Guerrilla warfare.
"Natasha, Get me on the phone with all four shelters."

Grey stared at the portal, watching as it rippled as though to announce the arrival of a beast among beasts.
A Malevolent colossus...
The ground thrummed softly as the heavy sound of footsteps echoed all over the area.
Grey sat atop one of the larger corpses as he watched its ascent. First, the beast’s head peeked out of the portal, an irregularly shaped head that was covered in thick long hair that fell down its shoulders.
Its body was rippling with muscles, creating visible contortions even with the slightest bit of movement.
The eyes of the creature was a dull blue, in its hand was a massive jagged sword that was nearly seven feet long and the beast was incredibly tall, even far taller than the orges he had killed.
The giant emerged from the portal and stared around the environment.
It seemed the beast was rather shocked as well, because it paused for a moment, the realization that its entire army had been wiped out by one measly human slowly setting in.
Once the beast locked eyes with Grey, it unleashed a guttural shout that sounded strangely human.
Almost immediately, Grey felt an intense pull urging him to attack the beast but he easily shrugged off the mental attack.
A small smile appeared on his face as he moved his wet hair to the side.
"A metamorphic giant... a Malevolent class monstrosity."
Whoosh!
The beast suddenly blurred, its hulking body closing the distance between them in seconds.
Coming to a halt just as it was mere inches away from Grey, the broadsword of the beast glowed softly in a strange orange glow and the wind from its dash washed over Grey as the blade came down.
The ground beneath them caved open, a large crack moving from the point of impact deeper into the street.
But when the dust settled, Grey was still sitting in his same position unmoved by the beast’s outburst.
The sword of the beast had cleaved the space just beside him, missing him by a few inches. The beast watched him, feeling slightly confused.
It had always hit its target every single time, how could he have possibly missed?
Lifting the blade from the rubble, the beast launched a vicious assault once more. Swinging its balde with ease it pummeled down on the spot Grey sat.
Letting out a roar as it struck, the beast lifted its blade high up into the sky. Once again, the sword began to glow an angry orange and then the beast delivered it strike in one seamless swing but before it did—
The light on the sword morphed, converting from an orange glow to a more worrying red—Damian’s eyes widened slightly just as the beast unleashed its best shot.
The damage was catastrophic.
A crater opened up on the road that went down to connect with the previous crack the beast had made, expanding it the more.
Nearby houses crumbled, those closest to the point of impact becoming a pile of sand and twisted metal.
A massive shockwave spilled from the point of impact, blowing the bodies of the monsters to pieces and shattering against the buildings.
Dust flew high up into the sky, and in the midst of the carnage, the giant stood unshaken, taking heavy breaths as it watched the beauty of its devastation.
But once everything went still, and the dust finally cleared—
Seated in that same position was Grey. Every single thing around him had been completely destroyed, even the ground beneath him was gone leaving a gaping hole.
And yet, Grey was still sitting on thin air, as though to tell the beast that nothing it could ever do would shake him.
The giant grunted, its hair falling by its sides as it leaned ever so slightly. That was when it saw it— a slight translucent sheen that surrounded Grey.
That translucent barrier was vibrating violently...

Not long after getting on the phone, Thalia along with Natasha; who had stubbornly forced her way to their group, were heading to the meeting point.
While Thalia followed her senses to locate the gate, Natasha was relating information to the rest of the shelters about their current location and paths they could take to avoid coming face to face with the beast.
Apart from the regular soldiers, their team was made out of four Curse bearers. Emma was the first and most obvious choice. It was hard to not include her when she was their most effective ranged unit.
Kiera was the second member, although Elise was a great choice since the plan was to hit and run, Thalia needed a certain level of brute force on her side today, just in case things turned a little sour.
And finally, Luke would accompany them due to how much his curse catered to destruction.
After some hours of driving, they finally arrived some kilometers away from the gate and waited for the rest of the squads to arrive.
Kiera and her soldiers came first, nodding to greet both Thalia and Natasha. Luke came second and Emma last.
Thalia summoned her sword and starred in the direction of the gate.
"You guys know the plan right?"
They all nodded, Natasha had explained everything, including the double descent to them over the phone.
Kiera turned her gaze to the direction Thalia was staring at looking as stoic as always. Even in the face of such danger there was not a hint of nervousness on her face.
She swung her obsidian black sword forward in one practice strike before speaking.
"Kill the babies while you take on the boss, noted."
Luke’s robe was gently drifting in the wind as he stared in the same direction.
"This is dangerous..."
Emma laughed at his words.
"Everything we do is dangerous."
"Alright, I think it’s about time we pay that floor Nosa visit."
The curse beasts all got back into the vehicle and began to continue their journey to the gate.
But the closer they got, the more disturbed Thalia looked.
Not long after, they arrived at the gate... or rather, what was left of it.
All that was waiting for them was a ruthless massacre.
For the first time in a while, Thalia failed to hide her true emotions.
Her eyes widened and she took a cautious step forward stepping on a pool of blood and flesh.
"What the fuck happened?"

I’m in a camp right now for national service in my country that is why updates have been wonky and I have had to upload dud Chapters sometimes.
Hopefully things settle soon.
So here’s how thing will go for now...
Anything titled Temporary is not ready for reading. Once the Chapter title changes from "temporary" then I have fixed the Chapter.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
