Divine Convenience Store-Chapter 131: No Need to Risk our Lives to Publicly Reveal them
After contemplating for a good few minutes, Lin Mo’s eyes lit up as he came up with a solution to his current problem.
"That’s correct. These immortal-grade products will only be displayed for our Golden Patrons. I’ll announce it on the Store Bulletin Board later, making sure it is only visible to them. This way, even if the Viewing Jades go on sale, regular customers won’t be able to see the announcement."
"Whoa! That’s possible? You’re a genius, Boss!" Liu Xiaoyu quipped while giggling.
Xiao Ya, on the other hand, tilted her head, not understanding what he just said.
Lin Mo hit Xiaoyu with a light chop. "Enough with the empty praise, my genius assistant. Tell me your thoughts on this matter."
Liu Xiaoyu rubbed her head with a pout. "Alright, alright. My first thought? This is a headache waiting to happen, Boss!"
She pointed at the floating artifacts.
"If those big-shot cultivators discover we have these, they’ll go crazy. Even if you limit the announcement to Golden Patrons, word will eventually leak out. What if they start camping outside the store? Or worse, press us on showing it to them while fighting for a chance to enter?"
Lin Mo put a hand on his forehead. It was truly headache-inducing.
"Yeah, I figured that might happen. But limiting it to Golden Patrons at least filters out the riffraff. Besides, the divine beings must’ve known what kind of chaos this would cause, yet they still dropped these in our laps. We have to manage this carefully."
With another nudge of her glasses, the glint in Yangyang’s eyes shone through with amusement.
"Perhaps this is another test for you, Shopkeeper Lin. A way to see if you can handle the weight of truly divine commerce. These artifacts aren’t just rare. They’re the kind of treasures that even immortal factions in the 2nd Heaven will go to war for. It can alter the fate of sects, cities, and even nations."
Of course, it has to be a test. Otherwise, where’s the fun in it, right? Lin Mo groaned inwardly.
"Great. No pressure. I suppose I’ll have to set up some kind of conditions. Maybe require an equivalent contribution to the store, like a barter but on an immense scale… Or I could set up a verification process, only allowing those who meet specific criteria to even make an offer. Well, first things first, I have to do something about it before we open our door for today’s business."
Upon saying that, he waved his hand and accessed the divine-grade formation through the Divine System Interface.
He searched for the particular formation and looked through its options. Eventually, he chose to make it invisible to the eyes of a regular customer. Furthermore, it will also automatically redirect any customers that may collide against it.
With how advanced the formation protecting it is, no cultivator from the 1st Heaven will discover that it’s there.
Liu Xiaoyu peered over as it didn’t change in their eyes, "What did you do, Boss?"
"I’ve hidden it from our customers. For now. These are immortal-grade treasures. We can’t just haphazardly sell them to anyone."
"Oh! I understand! Good thinking, Boss! So, you can do that, huh? I wish I could also operate the Divine System Interface. It’s unfair that I can only access my Personal Balance and appraise our products."
"In due time, Xiaoyu." Lin Mo said. Truthfully, he also wanted to share it with her so they’d both be burdened by it. But no matter how much he looked for some kind of toggle to give her permission to do things that only a manager could do, he couldn’t find it.
He had already raised that issue with the Divine Pantheon. It’s not like he’s going to give her full control, but it would be much better to grant her access to certain things to speed up their operations.
"Mhm. To ensure that a sect will not just be robbed or razed because they possessed any of these artifacts, we’ll also offer secrecy and anonymity to whoever will be the lucky ones to purchase them."
"... It will also save us from getting robbed, Boss. Is that right?" Liu Xiaoyu smirked to which Lin Mo just silently waved his hand as a wry smile formed from his lips.
Indeed! They should not risk their lives by publicly revealing immortal-grade artifacts!

With the matter of the immortal-grade products temporarily handled, Lin Mo sighed in relief and turned his attention back to the Daily Tasks. He had the gut feeling that after completing the 10th day’s Daily Task, something would be unlocked within the system again just like the Staff Management Function. It’s already the 9th day so two more Daily Tasks.
"Alright, let’s see what else we have for today…"
His eyes scanned them once more.
Nothing is new with the three daily tasks except the higher requirement.
However, the [Sell five different products in a single transaction] requirement seemed like it would need some creative bundling. Or better yet, Xiaoyu’s impressive sales pitching would be best to handle that task. Continue reading at novelbuddy

"The remaining bundles will probably not get counted considering they’re bundled into one packaging…" Lin Mo mused.
Before he could dwell on it further, the sound of impatient customers waiting for the doors to open echoed from the store’s entrance.
Liu Xiaoyu perked up. "Ah! Boss! It’s time! Let them come! We’re ready!"
"Yes, Boss Lin! I broke through the 4th level of the Spirit Gathering Stage last night! My stamina is now higher! You can assign me anywhere!" Xiao Ya flexed her delicate arms.
If he was still back on Earth, many would probably call him out for having someone like her work at the convenience store.
"I’ll be going back to my workstation, Shopkeeper Lin." Yangyang also took her leave as she returned inside the quarters. Her work as the customer service representative was the most stressful but after days of staying in the shop, she’s already more or less used to the workload.
Some of the feedback and suggestions she received have already been implemented in the store. There are now larger sizes available for potato chips and other snacks; however, the sodas still do not offer one or two-liter bottles.
Additionally, new drinks have been introduced, such as the iced coffee he tried yesterday. This drink is available in a can, and there’s also a hot coffee variant. Teas are available too. Both options are designed to enhance a cultivator’s mental strength.
It helps individuals stabilize their mentality, reducing the likelihood of encountering inner demons during cultivation or simply enduring pressure.
In addition to the iced coffee, fresh milk was also available. This milk is said to come from divine cows raised by one of the beings from the pantheon. It is believed to strengthen bones more effectively than the fresh milk commonly advertised on Earth.
Lin Mo stretched his arms and cracked his neck. "Let’s open up."
With a flick of his fingers, the Divine Convenience Store’s entrance unlocked.
The doors swung open automatically, allowing a flood of customers, both mortals and cultivators alike, to step in.
Some were regulars, while others appeared to be newcomers drawn in by the ever-growing reputation of the store.
"Welcome to the Divine Convenience Store," Liu Xiaoyu and Xiao Ya greeted brightly, already slipping into their roles. "Please take your time browsing our products."
Lin Mo waited at the counter, watching as the cultivators dispersed through the store. Some headed straight for the shelves filled with talismans and pills, while others approached the more specialized sections. The different aisles immediately became filled with customers browsing the Divine Convenience Store wares.
Noticeably, many were happy to see the new products. One Azure Gale Sect disciple gleefully announced the ’overload’-size of the Spirit-infused Potato Chips. It has a net weight of 200 grams equivalent to the 8 packs of the normal-sized one. Naturally, its price was a little lower than buying 8 packs of it.
Then, someone from the White Ember Sect found the new drinks in the walk-in coolers which instantly made a lot of customers gather around. Both coffee and tea were produced by the Serene Tea Deity, Shuiran. As for the milk, it was actually from the Goddess of Beauty and Refinement, Xingxing.
As Lin Mo retracted his newly enhanced Spiritual Perception that could cover the entire store, he was met with a familiar face.
The City Lord Wei Xian. He was flanked by two City Guards, one of which was Captain Zhao.
His daughter was nowhere to be seen. Most likely, the young lady was busy comprehending the martial arts manual that she purchased yesterday.
"Shopkeeper Lin. Your store’s influence continues to surprise me. The Iron Will Combat Method has reshaped our city’s guard force. I’ve come to personally express my thanks."
Lin Mo raised an eyebrow. "Express your thanks? Don’t tell me you’re here to give me a plaque or something?"
Wei Xian chuckled. "Nothing of the sort. But I do believe it’s only right to support a store that has given so much to our city."
He reached into his sleeve and retrieved a spatial pouch, placing it on the counter. "A personal investment of twenty high-grade spirit stones. No purchase necessary. Also, we won’t leave empty-handed. Go and get the basket. Purchase what you all need for the training."
Free money? Now, that’s new. Lin Mo thought as he watched the two City Guards pick up the green shopping basket and disappear into the aisles.
