Chapter 1935: Chapter 1936: Blueprints

At first, Qi Chen found Feng Yuan’s reply quite strange. Did he read it wrong? To his surprise, Xiao Ji actually agreed with what Feng Yuan did, which made Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan feel a bit amazed.

After all, they had observed Xiao Ji’s previous behavior, and they didn’t expect changes to happen so quickly.

However, compared to the weekend plan with Qi Chen to go to Liantang Town to find a suitable beast companion, Feng Yuan had an even more troublesome task waiting for him.

The construction of the Sky Manor was finished and ready for delivery. This meant it was time to start building the sanctuary. Fortunately, because of Feng Yuan’s partnership with Maomu City, most of the tasks could be entrusted to them. What Feng Yuan needed to do was to complete the sanctuary’s blueprint and plan the use of related equipment.

No one but Feng Yuan knew exactly how to arrange the sanctuary. Besides, this whole thing was Feng Yuan’s own proposal, and others didn’t have much understanding of it.

This led to Feng Yuan often sketching on blueprints during class these days. Although everyone was used to Feng Yuan doing things unrelated to the curriculum, many people were still curious about what he was doing this time.

After all, the Sky Manor couldn’t be placed too far from the academy, or it would be inconvenient for Feng Yuan to check on it. This led the students to make various guesses.

Even though everyone knew it was a sanctuary where Feng Yuan would heal spirit beasts, and according to him, spirit beasts would replace him in treating and caring for injured young spirit beasts in the future, could spirit beasts really do it on their own? Or rather, could ordinary spirit beasts properly handle most injuries without the Divine Beasts?

Of course, they were curious, but they didn’t bother Feng Yuan, mainly because they understood him. Despite his usual amiable demeanor, if you annoyed him, not even the teachers could stop him from getting upset.

Veronia found it odd. Didn’t Feng Yuan say he had already contacted Patado? Now that the Sky Manor had arrived, why hadn’t they shown up yet?

"Hmm, this should be about right. The rest is just waiting for them to finish and check it over~"

Stretching lazily, Feng Yuan tossed his pen aside and said. After drawing blueprints for several consecutive days, even he felt a bit weary. But there was no other way. If he didn’t draft the blueprints properly, others might not be capable of helping him finish them.

Verbal explanations often lead to inaccuracies or misunderstandings. To prevent unnecessary errors, Feng Yuan marked the blueprints very meticulously, aiming to minimize errors due to differences in understanding.

Veronia glanced at Feng Yuan and said,

"You’re going to deliver these blueprints yourself?"

"No need. I’ll just ask Liao Yu to send them over later."

"For such a trivial matter, you specifically asked someone to find you?"

Looking at Feng Yuan with surprise, Veronia hadn’t expected such an answer. Rolling her eyes, Feng Yuan replied in a huff,

"Of course not. Liao Yu happens to be on a day off today, and since he’s, well, you know, with Ye Hanlei, so I’ll just have him bring them along."

Looking speechlessly at Feng Yuan, Veronia retorted angrily,

"I don’t think that’s just a coincidence."

"I don’t know why they’d meet up at the academy. Though I suppose because they both graduated from Maomu Academy."

Shrugging, Feng Yuan said helplessly. This matter really didn’t concern him. He had no idea why they chose Maomu Academy for their date. Was it because they both attended there?

Liao Yu and the others weren’t about to tell Feng Yuan about this, and he didn’t intend to pry. Besides, since they happened to be coming over, Feng Yuan could let them help by taking the blueprints back.

Of course, if they hadn’t come, Feng Yuan wouldn’t need to send them personally because Maomu City assembled a construction team that was on standby nearby. They just hadn’t interacted due to the blueprints not being completed yet.

Unlike Feng Yuan, who only needed a glance at the design plans from the Entertainment Heaven company to understand the whole Sky Manor structure and what modifications could be made, the construction team couldn’t do that.

They were currently receiving specialized training from Entertainment Heaven, focusing on the construction dos and don’ts based on the Sky Manor design blueprint.

Since the manor was already built, making changes in the wrong spot might necessitate a total reconstruction.

The best approach would have been to install these facilities during the construction of the Sky Manor, but for Feng Yuan, that would have been too troublesome, requiring constant communication with the designers from Entertainment Heaven. Plus, a standardized sky sanctuary wouldn’t be as effective.

At least, the current sanctuary, based on the Sky Manor with its various facility installations, allowed for more adjustments than a standardized model would have after completion.

Since Feng Yuan hadn’t contacted the construction team yet, when finishing the blueprints, he casually asked Liao Yu for their contact information.

Feng Yuan hadn’t expected Ye Hanlei to say they could take the blueprints over themselves. Although Feng Yuan thought Liao Yu might not be very willing, well, he probably couldn’t dissuade Ye Hanlei, so it couldn’t be helped.

After all, Feng Yuan hadn’t expected Ye Hanlei to say such a thing. There was no way Liao Yu could blame him.

That evening, seeing Liao Yu and Ye Hanlei in their uniforms, Feng Yuan asked curiously,

"Aren’t you guys on a date? Why are you wearing those clothes?"

He didn’t think wearing uniforms on a date was romantic. Was there something he didn’t know?

Giving Feng Yuan an exasperated look, Ye Hanlei replied,

"What date? We just came back to check on things, hmph~"

Blinking in surprise, Feng Yuan looked from Ye Hanlei to Liao Yu, feeling something was off. These two... what was going on?

Liao Yu, who was smiling foolishly, seemed oblivious to Feng Yuan’s questioning gaze. Sighing, Feng Yuan handed the rolled-up blueprints to Ye Hanlei and said,

"Alright, here you go. Please deliver them for me. Tsk, who’d have thought? Out of snacks, and now I get to see this."

Though he wasn’t sure what the situation was, Feng Yuan was sure that Ye Hanlei and Liao Yu were definitely on a date. But this kind of hobby...

Oh well, that’s their personal affair, and he decided not to overthink it.

As they left Feng Yuan’s dormitory with the blueprints, Liao Yu awkwardly scratched his head and asked,

"Well, Hanlei, were you serious just now?"

"What do you think~"

Though her voice was gentle, Liao Yu felt a chill run down his spine. Sighing, he said resignedly,

"So... now we..."

"Of course, go see the Sky Manor. Although we may never own it, admiring it is no bad thing either."

With that, she scanned the surroundings with her peripheral vision. Liao Yu was indeed hoping for a date with Ye Hanlei, but they had been so busy lately. Where would they find the time? This was just seizing the chance while delivering the blueprints, planning to fish for an opportunity.

They just hadn’t expected that such a sloppy excuse could actually catch a few little fish.

Feng Yuan wasn’t aware of Liao Yu and Ye Hanlei’s plans. He was merely being lazy, not wanting to make a trip to the Sky Manor. After all, though it was stationed nearby the academy, for security reasons it was parked in the unpopulated back hills, where the construction crew was too.

This incident made Feng Yuan consider finding a mount-type spirit beast to ride, but upon pondering, he decided against it.

For convenience, in his view, wasn’t suitable. Besides, Xiao Ji’s evolution preparation phase was approaching. Once it evolved, it would likely be able to fly while carrying him.

Though flying and running on the ground are somewhat different, it could still serve for transportation without issues. He thought Xiao Ji would probably enjoy it as well.

"Don’t you think those two were a bit strange?"

In the dorm, Veronia remarked to Feng Yuan, puzzled, mainly because Liao Yu and Ye Hanlei’s behavior was a bit odd today. Feng Yuan chuckled and replied,

"Maybe, perhaps it’s some sort of special mission?"

"A special mission? Are there really illegal organizations that bold?"

Looking at Feng Yuan in disbelief, Veronia found it hard to buy into the idea. Shrugging, Feng Yuan said helplessly,

"How should I know? Considering their identities, it’s probably the only possibility. Or maybe they just wanted to spice things up with some quirky couple’s fun?"

Feng Yuan hadn’t realized he had guessed the truth from the start, but he didn’t care much either. After all, having cleared his mind off the blueprints, he planned to relax a bit the next day.
