Chapter 1899: Chapter 1900: Many Doubts

"This... is indeed an Abnormal Space, but we’ve never heard of an Abnormal Space having such capabilities."

Veronia and Agunas glanced at each other. If it weren’t for these words coming from the mouth of the Data Spirit Fox, they might find it difficult to accept this fact.

There’s no way around it. The inherent disorderliness of an Abnormal Space makes it incapable of performing any function. Yet, this place is undeniably an Abnormal Space, and now there’s suddenly this bizarre function that completely contradicts the fundamental rules of an Abnormal Space. Could this really be related to some external force?

"It’s not only this function; the ordered nature of the Abnormal Space is also a big issue. Unfortunately, I’m not a Divine Beast associated with space, so I can’t perceive whether there are any governing rules within this Abnormal Space."

Sitting atop Xiao Hei’s head, Najia spoke while looking at Agunas and Veronia with a very serious expression. The issue with this Abnormal Space is more severe than they had imagined. Also, if this is man-made, then who possesses such terrifying abilities to create such an unusual Abnormal Space?

"Was that strange thing merely an accident appearing beside Luo Xiaoxiao, or was it due to some special scheme? Luo Xiaoxiao... does she have anything special about her?" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Rubbing his chin, Feng Yuan pondered. Although the entire unfolding and transformation of the Abnormal Space was evolved from Luo Xiaoxiao’s inner self, it doesn’t mean everything couldn’t be part of a special scheme. But if so, what makes Luo Xiaoxiao special?

Was it merely a random choice of an ordinary person? Or... is there something special about Luo Xiaoxiao that could magnify everything?

Unable to figure it out, Feng Yuan looked towards the Data Spirit Fox. It mewed, and after Veronia translated its response, she said,

"It seems it doesn’t know either."

"That transformation of its, could it be related to all this?"

Yang Hongzhi slowly and uncertainly asked. Although he felt the possibility was high, what was the mastermind’s ultimate goal? Would advancing the Data Spirit Fox to a Divine Beast benefit him somehow?

"The advancement of a Divine Beast... that’s indeed an issue too. Based on what you said, you accidentally broke through this barrier while contact with Luo Xiaoxiao. But... the semi-Divine Beast state is stranger than advanced Divine Beast or Sacred Beast."

Veronia muttered while scrutinizing the Data Spirit Fox. Its advancement was very peculiar. It seemed more like a slow transformation than a failed advancement.

However, such situations are unheard of in typical Divine Beast advancements. Even Xiao Ji and others achieved their Divine Beast status in a relatively short time.

An advancement to Divine Beast just by contact—a possibility Veronia couldn’t help but associate with Feng Yuan’s methods. Though it’s his prerogative, those methods would seemingly only be within Feng Yuan’s grasp. After all, attaining Divine Beast status requires his permission for formal acknowledgment by the world; brute force is futile.

For the Data Spirit Fox, which is stuck in-between, nobody could fathom its state.

In reality, even Agunas was clueless about the Data Spirit Fox’s current state. A semi-Divine Beast? What on earth was this peculiar condition?

Regrettably, after some study, the group remained unaware of the Data Spirit Fox’s true state. Its power remained unchanged—merely at a Good Level. However, it oddly possessed a quasi-Divine Beast Authority.

Even though it could only exercise special authority within the Data Domain, this is a privilege exclusive to Divine Beasts. But, just like its half-complete advancement status, the Data Spirit Fox’s authority was also incomplete.

Not only was it limited to usage within the Data Domain, but many aspects were lacking. Apart from possessing the highest priority, there were multiple exceptions beyond its authority scope.

These indirectly signified that the Data Spirit Fox was stuck in a very strange state.

"Sigh, let’s shelve your issue until we solve the major problem here. Can you directly send us to Luo Xiaoxiao’s side?"

Sighing deeply, Feng Yuan asked the Data Spirit Fox with a helpless expression. Despite nearing the core area, the Isle of Wishes was the initially created zone. In fact, the core area itself was the original Sea of Hope. The sea Feng Yuan and the others first entered was merely a projection of the Sea of Hope.

Luo Xiaoxiao’s wish was realized within the Abnormal Space. Initially, the birth of the Sea of Hope made Luo Xiaoxiao think a miracle had descended. However, as the Abnormal Space gradually expanded, it began interfering with the Data Domain, forming a mysterious Time Fog.

This was why they encountered the Time Fog during the Mingjing Lake Meteor Pavilion incident. At that time, the Time Fog in Tianlan City also puzzled Feng Yuan. Little did they know it was a harbinger of this crisis.

The Time Fog anomaly didn’t alert Luo Xiaoxiao to any issue. After all, even Feng Yuan didn’t think everything was related to the Abnormal Space then. However, their ignorance didn’t mean the Data Spirit Fox couldn’t sense it.

As the first Data-based Spirit Beast in the world, the Data Spirit Fox possessed unique abilities in certain aspects, enabling it to locate Luo Xiaoxiao, who sought the Isle of Wishes.

To Luo Xiaoxiao, it initially felt like a beautiful memory. She didn’t directly appear on the Isle of Wishes but followed the script of the Sea of Hope Chapter. With the help of the Tashimar Fantasy Circus members, she overcame multiple hurdles to reach the place where wishes came true.

However, no matter how unique it seemed, the Abnormal Space inherently lacked the real capability to fulfill wishes. If that were all, it wouldn’t be so bad. But on the Isle of Wishes, Luo Xiaoxiao learned that, over time, the entire Abnormal Space had become uncontrollable.

Outside of the Sea of Hope, the Tashimar Fantasy Circus connected to the Domain of Heart and the Despair Amusement Park were created by the Abnormal Space. The Tashimar Fantasy Circus’s Dream Whale lured children with the paradise playground as bait, whereas the Despair Amusement Park was different—it was an aggressive invitation to despair.

Compared to the heavenly invitation, the one toward despair was even more unacceptable to Luo Xiaoxiao. However, she couldn’t destroy the Despair Amusement Park. Her only option was to suppress it with her conviction, which was why Feng Yuan only heard about the pink whale’s act of taking children."

As the Abnormal Space expanded, Luo Xiaoxiao’s Control Force over it weakened, which was why she said those things back then.

She never intended to harm others; she just didn’t expect that what she’d encountered wasn’t a miracle-filled box, but the crisis unleashed by Pandora’s box—something she didn’t wish for yet didn’t know how to manage.

If initially, Luo Xiaoxiao had the chance to prevent this by dissolving the Abnormal Space, the appearance of missing persons soon made those trapped within the space hostages, leaving her too afraid to act rashly.

Reflecting on the root of all this shared by the Data Spirit Fox, Feng Yuan shook his head and sighed, looking at the growing closer Isle of Wishes - False.

"Who knows what punishment she’ll face once this is over."

"Punishment isn’t what we should worry about now. I’m more curious about whether we can return those trapped in the Abnormal Space to the real world. This thing must be quite formidable."

Yang Hongzhi looked ahead with a complicated expression. Though Feng Yuan and the others were acting, Yang Hongzhi wasn’t optimistic. After all, their actions were limited during this operation. Leveraging the core of the Abnormal Space to send people back seemed unlikely.

The whole Abnormal Space is slipping from Luo Xiaoxiao’s grasp. Even if they find her, there’s probably little they can do.

"It’s really hard to say. This Abnormal Space’s structure is too bizarre. Responding to inner wishes—what an odd thing, and it keeps pulling various domains..."

Rubbing his chin, Feng Yuan thought for a while but couldn’t make heads or tails of it. The matter was too bizarre. Moreover, considering the time span, the Abnormal Space existed in a prolonged lurking state, which seemed suspicious...
