Chapter 1895: Chapter 1896: Toy World

Under Veronia’s mirror disguise, Yang Hongzhi turned into an ordinary yellow-brown dog. Xiao Hei circled around Yang Hongzhi, barking with delight. Looking at the overjoyed Xiao Hei, Yang Hongzhi lifted a dog paw and said,

"This feeling is really... quite peculiar..."

Feng Yuan, who had transformed into a little husky, observed the much larger yellow dog in surprise and asked,

"Veronia, your sense of humor really is unique."

"Oh? What’s the problem with that?"

"Don’t you think a fox would be better?"

"I think now’s not the time to focus on that... shouldn’t we be going in?"

Yang Hongzhi glanced at Feng Yuan and said helplessly, as Agunas landed on the ground and said,

"Let’s go, Veronia, you..."

Returning to her original form, sitting on the Rainbow Bubbles, Veronia silently watched Agunas, unwilling to descend to the ground like Agunas.

Seated on Xiao Hei’s head, Najia looked at Agunas in confusion and asked,

"Why are you doing this?"

"I am unsure whether floating creatures pose a threat to her."

Glancing at Veronia, who sat upon the Rainbow Bubbles, Agunas remarked calmly. The little husky cheerfully charged into the town, saying,

"I’m heading in first~"

Upon hearing Agunas’s words, Xiao Ji hesitated, then transformed into the Eggshell Chicken form and gave chase, unwilling to let its capabilities cause trouble for everyone.

The new arrival of the little husky caused little reaction among the toy residents of the town. In contrast, Yang Hongzhi, in the form of a yellow dog, and Xiao Hei seemed to startle them slightly when they entered.

But that was all; the toy residents did not show hostility. Perhaps it was because Feng Yuan, in the little husky form, appeared quite adorable, and a toy girl with a flower basket curiously approached him.

Though the toy girl’s palm was made of plastic, the little husky didn’t resist her touch, for Feng Yuan noted that this toy girl was no ordinary figure, perhaps a key in the town.

The surrounding toy residents hovered around, subtly ensuring her safety. Yet, due to the little husky’s non-threatening demeanor and Feng Yuan’s deliberate cuteness, the toy girl seemed quite entertained.

However, the toy girl suddenly backed away with a saddened expression, staring at the little husky. As Feng Yuan puzzled over this, she took a toy flower from her basket and placed it on the little husky’s head. Normally, the flower would have fallen with the slightest movement, but Feng Yuan controlled it to stay firmly in place.

Perplexed, the little husky attempted another round of endearing antics, but this time, it was ineffective. The toy girl, head down, seemed to whisper an apology before running into the depths of the town.

Swishing his tail, the little husky looked around at the toy residents gradually heading deeper into the town, twitching his ears. There was indeed something off about the toy girl; perhaps... it was the transformation of the heart...

"I didn’t expect you to be so good at this; it’s truly... surprising~"

Veronia, who had been sneakily watching from the side, floated over on the Rainbow Bubbles and said to the little husky. Glancing at Veronia, Feng Yuan replied irritably,

"What? Jealous?"

"Indeed~ I didn’t expect you’d be so popular~ But, she probably has something to do with Luo Xiaoxiao, right?"

Gazing towards the town’s depths, Veronia murmured. Street lamps stretched endlessly along the road, but despite their glow, the depths remained cloaked in mist. They didn’t know what awaited them ahead.

Yawning, the little husky said while twitching his tail,

"Probably, given how unique she is, there are only a few possibilities."

Actually, it was quite easy to guess the toy girl’s identity; she was uniquely distinct at this place. However, Feng Yuan couldn’t understand the nature of this Abnormal Space.

The reflection of the heart wasn’t a common rule. Not to mention, in the rule-chaotic Abnormal Space, there aren’t many Domains where this could normally occur. Agunas’s words also made him suspect who might be behind this, a familiar aura?

Flashes of various Divine Beasts’ Authorities crossed his mind, but the little husky shook his head, thinking it had nothing to do with the Divine Beasts. This Abnormal Space transcended Authority, and they couldn’t possibly create this.

With that thought, the little husky looked towards the depths of the town, hoping for answers there.

Due to the toy girl, all the toy residents in town were heading towards the depths. Yang Hongzhi and Xiao Hei came over and looked at the little husky, with Yang Hongzhi asking,

"Should we catch up now?"

"Of course, the path is just ahead. Staying here won’t solve the Abnormal Space issue."

Flicking his tail, the little husky ran towards the depths of the town. Agunas, looking puzzled, turned to Veronia, who was floating in the air, and asked,

"Didn’t you notice that familiar aura?"

"Ha, how could I not notice, especially after you pointed it out? But that aura feels strange... Rather than familiar, it’s more like just recognized... Little Crocodile, your definition of familiarity is quite special – mere glances can count as familiar~"

"So, do you know what it is?"

Agunas stared at Veronia, somewhat impatient with her roundabout words. With a light laugh, Veronia said,

"I don’t know, but I know it can’t really be called familiar, it’s just... something that left a strong impression on me. Yet, I can’t recall where I encountered that strange aura."

By the end, Veronia herself felt puzzled. If it truly left such a strong impression, there was no reason why she couldn’t remember. But if not...

This chaotic memory feeling made it uncomfortable, but no matter how hard she tried, Veronia couldn’t find the answer she sought.

The straight street extended endlessly, with the town’s buildings made of toy blocks. Yet, both Feng Yuan and Yang Hongzhi knew this seemingly beautiful, spacious town was mere facade; the buildings at both sides of the street were it. Though you could vaguely see many toy houses stretching outwards from the streets, it was all just scenery.

The truly complete part was just that row of buildings on both sides of the street. Anything beyond the visible distance wouldn’t exist. This reminded Feng Yuan of scenes from a game.

The Abnormal Space probably didn’t need to conserve resources in such a way, but why was it like this?

Unable to understand, Feng Yuan didn’t bother further. Perhaps it was just a coincidence.

As they continued down the street, the surroundings grew quieter. Yet, the occasional toy soldier left the little husky puzzled – what was happening up ahead?

At that moment, the ground started trembling, as if some terrifying existence was ahead. But even without the fog blocking their sight, it was too far to see what was happening.

The little husky glanced at Xiao Ji beside him and nudged it onto his back, sprinting forward.

A toy dinosaur spewed flames, its claws crushing a toy plane attacking it. The toy mountain became dilapidated under the toy dinosaur’s trampling. Watching the toy soldiers and various toy weapons besiege the toy dinosaur, the little husky gently swished his tail. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Although the toy dinosaur looked enormous from the toy soldiers’ perspective, they were miniaturized toy soldiers. Indeed, the seemingly huge toy dinosaur was actually much smaller than the little husky, and the battlefield was even a miniature landscape.

"Is this a mini toy war?"

The little husky flicked his ears, puzzled at the scene. What was going on here?

If the road didn’t end there, Feng Yuan would have thought it was some road performance attraction.

"Do we need to intervene?"

Veronia glanced at the little husky and asked. Handling this rampaging dinosaur was no challenge for them, and in fact, it felt like bullying the weak if they intervened.

After a moment’s thought, the little husky flicked his tail and said,

"Let’s wait and see first; this place doesn’t seem that simple?"
