Chapter 1890: Chapter 1891: Contact

Unlike the amusement park outside, which looks bustling but is actually very quiet, Tashimar Fantasy Circus is lively, with a festive atmosphere. Occasional sightings of children indulging in visits to snack vendors make it apparent, even without having reviewed all the missing children’s profiles, that these wandering kids are likely those taken by the pink whale.

At that moment, a little girl noticed Feng Yuan and his group and exclaimed in surprise

"Adults are here!"

"What are they..."

Frowning, Feng Yuan noticed the children weren’t happy. Instead, they seemed intent on driving them away. But why?

"Calm down, we’re here to..."

Yang Hongzhi thought his group’s appearance might have scared them and stepped forward to try and appease the children. However, his words only intensified their hostility.

"Get lost!"

A little boy shouted, pointing at Yang Hongzhi, and an Ancient Vine Turtle appeared out of thin air, roaring and stomping its foot, causing wooden spikes to nearly hit Yang Hongzhi.

"Are these guys crazy?"

Veronia stepped forward and crushed the Ancient Vine Turtle with a crystalline explosion. Her force was so strong that spatial cracks appeared where the turtle had been.

However, Veronia’s actions didn’t intimidate them, but instead made the children more hostile towards everyone. Watching them summon numerous Legendary Spirit Beasts, Feng Yuan said helplessly

"Looks like we’ve accidentally stumbled into their secret base. But this is strange—what are they trying to do?"

"Now the question is, how do we get through here?"

Glancing at Feng Yuan, Yang Hongzhi said with a headache. Even he could guess the reason for the kids’ reaction: this place is seen as their secret playground, and Feng Yuan’s group were intruders.

"In theory, calling their parents is the simplest solution, but we obviously can’t do that now."

Feng Yuan teased, shrugging. Yang Hongzhi looked at him speechlessly and said

"If you really did that, they would probably hate you."

"Fake Spirit Beasts can’t stop us~"

Veronia snorted coldly and immediately stepped forward to attack the group of Legendary fake Spirit Beasts. Because this time Veronia went all out, the entire space was filled with cracks, as if it might collapse at any moment.

Under this fierce assault, Veronia’s "fierceness" scared quite a few children, causing some to sit on the ground crying. Feng Yuan sighed and looked at Najia, knowing it’s probably the only one capable of calming these kids. As for Veronia?

Forget it, if she goes over, she might break the space.

Unexpectedly, several children in neat school uniforms walked over, looking like little adults and scolded those who had been disciplined by Veronia.

"Interesting. Knowing the anomaly of this place, why did they still follow that thing here?"

Muttering to himself, Feng Yuan looked at Yang Hongzhi, surprised. He didn’t expect Yang Hongzhi to have the potential to be a leader among the kids, connecting with them so quickly.

"How many people did she kidnap and bring here? Do you remember those few kids we encountered earlier?"

Veronia pinched her chin, looking at Feng Yuan. They initially thought the place might have few people, but didn’t expect so many children to be present.

"I really don’t know, probably Captain Yang would know better about those numbers. Now, the problem is, how do we handle so many people here? Having them with us would be troublesome, and sending them to safety..."

Rubbing his head, Feng Yuan said with a headache. Compared to how many kids were here, he’s more concerned about dealing with the aftermath. With space techniques unusable, they can’t really take everyone along, especially if they need to fight.

"Are you really just a few people?"

At that moment, the boy who had previously scolded the kids walked up and asked Feng Yuan’s group. Feng Yuan glanced at him and shook his head, saying

"That’s not it. Quite a few people got caught up here. If we could contact them, they might be able to protect you, but unfortunately, we can’t."

"If everyone is in this strange world, maybe we could go over."

Resting his head on his hand, the boy thought for a moment before speaking. He looked at his companions and said a few words before addressing Feng Yuan

"Follow me. Although we can’t return to our world, we can open paths to other regions from here."

"If we could send you back to Maomu Academy, safety wouldn’t be an issue. However, you seem rational, why were you lured into here?"

On hearing Feng Yuan’s inquiry, the boy looked at him oddly and said

"I wasn’t lured here, but only those under ten can receive an invitation. I came in to investigate because my older brother couldn’t. Now that you appear here, I have another hypothesis—has something unusually happened in the outside world?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Because if you’re here to rescue, you wouldn’t have just a few people, and no matter how you disguise it, you’re not sufficiently prepared, meaning you’re likely not a specialized rescue team from outside. Moreover, while you resemble newcomers from the Special Adjustment Bureau, the similarity is only age-related, your temperaments differ greatly. I don’t think they’d let outsiders handle this, and originally, the rules wouldn’t allow you here, indicating changes in this alternate world’s rules recently."

The boy analyzed while holding his chin, Yang Hongzhi was astonished at how quickly the boy deduced so much, but Feng Yuan wasn’t surprised. He smiled and said

"Seems like your identity isn’t simple either, but never mind. If you could open a path to Kakaronte City, we might be able to send you to Maomu Academy where someone can take care of you, by the way, are all the kids taken by the whale here?"

"Only a small part is here, others aren’t, or rather, there are small groups everywhere."

Speaking calmly, the boy seemed surprised. On hearing this, Feng Yuan sighed and said

"Then... can you help us gather all the ones we can find?"

"Are you sure Maomu Academy can ensure everyone’s safety?"

"With the Divine Beasts’ protection, what do you think?"

On hearing the boy’s inquiry, Feng Yuan rolled his eyes and countered. After some thought, the boy said

"Alright, follow me."

Although the boy wasn’t the leader here, he knew about all the small circles. Under his guidance, Feng Yuan and his group successfully gathered most of the children left inside Tashimar Fantasy Circus, and the large door resembling a cartoon lion’s head appeared before them.

"Through this door we can reach most areas in the alternate world, and Kakaronte City is no exception."

As the boy spoke and pushed the door open, even though it was nighttime at Tashimar Fantasy Circus, blue skies and white clouds could be seen beyond the door. Yet, perhaps out of habit, the children didn’t react much.

Walking through the door and seeing Maomu Academy floating in the sky, Feng Yuan breathed a sigh of relief, saying

"Finally, we’ve made contact with them."

Like Feng Yuan, Agunas also sighed in relief, for as contact with Feng Yuan’s group was lost, Agunas had no idea what they had encountered.

Agunas floated down from Maomu Academy and was momentarily stunned upon seeing the group of children. It hadn’t expected Feng Yuan’s group to suddenly appear with so many people after losing contact for so long.

Swishing its tail, Agunas observed the group of children, realizing they didn’t seem like those rescued from school, wondering if they had already reached a core area.

"Hehe~ Agunas, we’ll be relying on you for the next steps~"

Looking at Agunas, Feng Yuan grinned sheepishly, scratched his head, and said.
