Chapter 47: The Schism of Olympus (Part 7)// Aphrodite (R18) - Part 1

(3 days till the start of the War...)

The wind from the hill always brought with it the sounds of Kaeron: the hammering of blacksmiths, the laughter of children training with wooden spears, the constant murmur of a living city. But that afternoon, all of that felt distant, as if the world were holding its breath.

I was sitting on a rock, staring at the horizon. Aegle had left that morning, summoned by the Hesperides for some duty she could not ignore. She had told me so sweetly, but not without regret. Her departure left a strange void, as if something in me had lost its center of gravity. That was why I had climbed the hill; I needed air and some silence to gain perspective and perhaps think about my options.

However, I was not alone.

I knew it before I saw her. The change in the breeze, the faint scent of jasmine and ambrosia, I felt her presence, her power, and also her charm. It was strange, but seeing Aphrodite was like seeing those beautiful actresses in 80s movies walking in slow motion everywhere.

"You’re harder to catch than I thought," said a melodic voice behind me.

I turned slowly. Aphrodite was standing at the edge of the path, her white robe floating around her as if the wind obeyed her. Her every movement was an unrehearsed dance, as if the universe curved gently around her.

"I suppose that depends on who’s trying to catch me," I replied simply.

She smiled. Not a polite smile, nor a mocking one, but one of those smiles that seemed designed to make you lower your guard without realizing it.

"I knew you would come to this place," she said, approaching me slowly. "I’ve been watching you, Akhon, and if there’s one thing I’ve noticed about you, it’s that you like to watch this city from above, although I don’t know why, really. I don’t think any of the gods are so in love with a city that they praise it like you do."

"Yeah, well, I guess that’s one more difference I have from the other gods, right?"

"Let’s say that."

She sat down next to me with impossible elegance. Not even the grass dared to move under her weight. I watched her gaze at the city with a serene expression, as if she were contemplating a work of art still in progress.

"It’s beautiful," she said. "Not perfect. But it seems very alive. I understand why you like to see it from here. Besides, it’s all yours."

"It’s theirs, not mine. I just protect it, no more, no less."

"That’s exactly what makes you special."

I let her talk. In the interactions I had had with the goddess up to that point in my life, I knew that Aphrodite was not one to get straight to the point. She enveloped you, seduced you with words rather than promises. And yet, I knew she hadn’t come to admire my city.

"What do you want?"

"I didn’t come to threaten you, if that’s what you think," she said with a small laugh. "Or to manipulate you. At least, not more than necessary."

"You’re doing well so far."

Her gaze fell on me, more intense than I had expected. It wasn’t just beauty that dwelled in her eyes. It was strategy. It was judgment.

"I’ve come to offer you a place," he finally said. ’You might be interested. It’s something that, although it may seem foreign to you now, is growing like your city, like you."

"Nemesis."

Aphrodite nodded, unashamed. ’Yes, the Front needs figures who embody change. Who represent the new gods, or the awakened, or simply... different. You could be that."

"I’m not a symbol, and I’m certainly not a soldier, which, as far as I know, is what you’ll need most."

Aphrodite wasn’t offended. On the contrary, she smiled, as if she had expected that answer from the beginning. She walked slowly in front of me, her footsteps making no sound, as if the ground had softened so as not to interrupt her.

"You don’t need to be a soldier to make a difference. Nor a symbol, if you don’t want to be." She stopped at the edge of the hill, her gaze fixed on Kaeron. "But the world is changing, Akhon. You feel it as much as I do. Old alliances are crumbling, oaths no longer mean what they used to. Even the gods... doubt. Some hide. Others cling to what remains. But Nemesis does not. Nemesis moves forward."

"To what end?" I asked, not taking my eyes off him. "Justice? Revenge? Control disguised as redemption?" freeweɓnøvel~com

"I’m not going to lie to you," he said, turning to face me. "There is anger on the Front. Anger that has been building for centuries. Do you know how many gods were exiled? How many forgotten, condemned to silence because their ideals did not fit Zeus’s narrative?"

"I am not against his downfall," I murmured, "but that does not mean I support what comes next."

"That’s precisely why we need you." His voice softened, but not his resolve. "Because you don’t want thrones. You don’t seek glory. Your vision is clear. And sometimes, it’s that kind of perspective that can balance the fire."

"What if the fire burns everything down?"

"Then all the more reason for you to be there when it does." He took a step toward me, his eyes shining as if an entire galaxy burned within them. "Because if you’re not there, if you let others decide, then when you want to protect what you love... there may be nothing left to protect."

That hit me. I didn’t say it out loud, but I felt it like a splinter slowly digging into my skin. I thought of Kaeron, its dusty streets and stubborn people. I thought of Aegle, her slight smile when she thought no one was looking. I thought of how easy it would be for a war between gods to wipe all of that away.

"I have enough trying to keep this place standing," I said at last. "Plus, I don’t know if I wanna take by myself this shit."

"I’m not asking you to take on anything," Aphrodite replied. "Just don’t shut yourself off. Don’t convince yourself that you can remain neutral forever. Because the gods don’t forget. And Zeus doesn’t tolerate rivals."

"And you do?’ I asked.

"We don’t want rivals. We want allies. And, if we’re lucky, leaders."

I fell silent.

The sun was slowly setting, bathing the walls of Kaeron in gold. In the distance, I could hear the songs of the changing guard. A whole world kept turning... unaware of how close it was to the fire.

"And what if I say no?" I finally asked.

Aphrodite didn’t answer right away. She just looked at me, and for the first time since I had arrived, her expression changed.

"Well, in that case, you don’t leave me much choice but to use my charms to convince you."

I just laughed.

"Hahaha, yeah, right, good luck with that." I said, but the goddess didn’t seem irritated by my words. In fact, it seemed as if she had been expecting my response, because out of nowhere she came closer to me, her mouth just a few inches from my ear, and I could feel her fragrance enveloping me.

"It’s not in your best interest to play that game, Akhon, but if you want to, you know I can be very... persuasive," she said in a seductive tone, practically purring on the last syllable.

And even though I didn’t want to admit it, this made the hairs on my arms stand on end and I felt the blood begin to flow faster on its way "down."

"Let me convince you, Akhon," Aphrodite said in the same tone, as I watched her descend toward my crotch.

I sensed how her skilled hands liberated my little buddy and how her fingers wrapped around my member, her touch both firm and gentle.

She looked up at me, her eyes smoldering with intent. ’You’re quite the specimen, Akhon,’ she purred, her voice a velvet caress. "I’ve heard whispers of your prowess, but I must say, seeing is believing."

And that’s when she began to stroke me, her grip steady and confident. While my breath hitched, my body responded to her touch. While my hands reached out, tentatively exploring her curves, I made my fingers trace the line of her waist, the swell of her hips.

I saw how Aphrodite’s eyes fluttered closed, a soft moan escaping her lips as she leaned into my touch. "You’re playing with fire, Akhon," she whispered, her voice laced with desire. "But I like it. I like you."

Meanwhile, my breath hitched again, my body unfortunately responding to her touch. I tried to pull away, my voice now a strained whisper, "Aphrodite, I can’t. I have a girlfriend."

But she was undeterred, her lips curving into a knowing smile as she leaned down, I sensed her breath hot on my skin.

"You’re right, Akhon," she murmured, her voice a sultry purr. "But you can’t deny this, can you?"

I sensed how she started to undo my robe, revealing my upper body, she kissed my stomach, her lips tracing a path downwards, her hand still stroking my member.

My body tensed, and my resolve started to falter as I sensed how her lips closed around my shaft, her tongue swirling around the sensitive head.

I gasped, while my hands gripped her hair, while I arched into her touch. Aphrodite looked up at me, her eyes filled with triumph and desire. "You’re mine now, Akhon," she whispered, her voice a command. "And I won’t let you go."

My breath hitched again as Aphrodite’s hand left my length, her fingers now gently cupping my balls. I could feel the heat of her touch, the softness of her skin against the sensitive flesh. She looked up at me, her eyes filled with a mix of mischief and desire.

"You’re so responsive, Akhon," she whispered, her voice a sultry purr. "I can feel your heart racing, your body aching for more."

She leaned back, her lips parting as she took my 10-inch member into her mouth once more.

My hands gripped her hair again, my body tensing as she began to stroke my balls at the same time her skilled mouth with her divine tongue worked on my shaft. The sensation was overwhelming, a mix of pleasure and pain that, to my humiliation, had me gasping for breath.

"Aphrodite," I moaned, my voice a strained whisper. "You’re gonna fucking make me cum, you bitch."

She smiled, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "That’s the idea, Akhon," she murmured, her voice a sultry purr. "I want you to feel everything, to surrender to the desire."

She continued to stroke my shaft, her touch driving me wild. My body was on fire, my control was slipping, my thoughts were consumed by the sensation coursing through me at that moment.

I knew I should stop, that I should pull away, but the pleasure was too great, the need too intense. So I lost myself to her control, the only sound at that moment being her gargling with my cock.
