District 42-Chapter 372: Destructive power
The Aesirs were using their most destructive techniques to wipe out the battlefield as fast as possible.
The battle was going very quickly. They were fighting since they appeared in Uppsala. Just as they supposed, the Frelsis were aware of their arrival and prepared themselves for that. However, that preparation seemed to be meaningless as the battle kept going on.
Since the start, the Ridires and Aesirs were pushing the Frelsis. Their fury and sorrow cultivated from the last defeat were their fuel to keep going. They didn’t fear death anymore, nor hesitated when battling, they just wanted to kill all those people.
They already lost their family and home, the only way to go was to take it back. If they didn’t do it, their life was meaningless.
In the middle of that frenetic battle, a white shadow crossed the battlefield just as fast as Ivar did.
The Aesirs needed to stop for a moment when they witnessed what was going on. Some of them let their jaws drop in disbelief.
They couldn’t believe that Casper was the one causing all that destruction on the battlefield all of a sudden.
’Yanke, I am going very fast right now, I need to adjust my vision, so I can register things quickly and not bump into them.’

’I also need to localize where the enemies are. I bet that they are gathered somewhere. If you may, localize them for me and show me right away.’

’In this speed that I am right now, using a gun would be meaningless. I need something more suited to melee-combat.’ Casper reasoned as he swiftly took off his knife while running. ’It will be good to fight with it again.’ He looked at his modified knife while grinning.

Suddenly, the knife on Casper’s hand tripled its length, now more similar to a sword than a knife.
’Wow! Thank you, Yanke!’
[ You are welcome, master. ]
The soldier got even more excited with his new weapon and rushed forward faster than before.
Like a hurricane, he crossed ways with a bunch of Frelsis who were trying to close one of the streets and stay at that place to retaliate.
They didn’t even notice what happened to them. Their consciousness remained for several seconds before they really died.
That laser blade was just as effective as the sharpest blade that he ever wielded in his life. It wasn’t just incredibly lethal with a mere touch, but also very light to wield, which increased his speed even more.
In the middle of his relentless slaughtering, he found Ivar.
The man was, somehow, orienting himself across the battlefield and massively defeating his opponents. Sometimes he would nearly kill someone that he shouldn’t, but no accidents happened until now.
"I didn’t think that I would live enough time to see you catching up with me, White warrior!" He said while laughing and swinging his blade wildly, killing three Frelsis before they could pull their triggers.
Casper casually took off his pistol and, with just a glance, shoot the other two who were on top of near buildings and aiming at them. He wouldn’t waste energy by going there and killing them with the sword.
"I think that you underestimated me a little bit, but that’s ok for me. Anyway, want to go along with me for a while?"
"No need to ask twice. We will be like two tsunamis destroying this entire city!"
Casper got the feeling. He was curious to know how much harm they could cause if they did it together.
They were facing a very long street, that could even be compared with an avenue. There, Ridires were fighting against Frelsis. The volume of enemies and allies was high. If they wiped out that place, then most of their job would be done.
"Good sword you have there. Want to exchange for a while?" Ivar asked while starting to walk hastily forward.
Casper followed him, denying with his head.
"No way. Also, how can you see my sword? You are blind, don’t you?" He giggled and the Fenrir clicked his tongue.
"I do not need fancy swords for this, anyway! I will show it to you, brat."
They both stomped the ground at the same time. Just the pale silver light of Ivar’s sword and the blue light of Casper’s could be seen as they crossed that street at an absurd speed, enough to confuse the human eye.
Those two trails of light danced throughout that street, like a complex abstract picture being painted at that exact moment.
Both the Ridires and the Frelsis barely could follow what was going on, and things became even more chaotic as they started to use the portals made by Canute.
The White warrior and the Fenrir appeared at the end of that street. Their feet skidded on the ground as their speed decreased.
They took some seconds to breathe and turned to see what they did.
Not a single Frelsi remained in that place. Just Ridires were still standing with confused expressions on their faces.
"Hey, Ivar..." Casper had a complicated expression. "Why that Ridire has a lost limb?" He pointed.
"A Frelsi did it." Ivar shrugged while leaving that place whistling.
"O-Ok... I will believe in you." The soldier sighed.
They both began to move to the city to find more places where they could help. They weren’t even looking where the action was low.
MMA let it clear that the Aesirs needed to use their war power to affect the areas filled with enemies and where the real chaos was happening.
However, before they could find somewhere else to fight, someone appeared in the distance. Not a mere Frelsi, but a more outstanding individual.
"Hey, Ivar. Danger in front."
"I know, I could sense this tension in the air from afar." The Fenrir’s grin grew even wider. "A Vanir, isn’t it? It’s not Tein, though, but MMA said to me to not fight him, anyway."
