Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100-Chapter 768: Entering the Void Hall
Chapter 768: Entering the Void Hall
Max’s jaw tightened as the implications settled over him like a heavy mantle. ’Though I hope that the current instability arose because I just completed absorbing the three lightning essence stones required for the first stage of the inheritance. Otherwise, if I really have to absorb only three stones at a time, wait for stabilization, then absorb three more...it might take me over a month just to finish learning how to properly use this technique.’
The thought of such a drawn-out process gnawed at his patience.
Yet despite the uncertainty, a spark of triumph flickered in his eyes as he felt the throbbing presence of the new power nestled inside his inner space. ’At least I can now use the Brilliant Thunder stage.’
Even if the ball of lightning wasn’t fully grown yet, the first stage of the Storm King’s inheritance granted him the ability to empower his fists or weapon increasing their sharpness to a terrifyingly high level.
Following the realization that he’d need time before he could further cultivate the Storm King’s inheritance, Max exhaled slowly, his breath crackling with faint electric sparks, and decided not to waste even a single moment.
Sitting cross-legged on the smooth jade floor of his private chamber, he reached within himself and entered the Dimension of Time.
Max stood alone in the center of of vast white world, his figure still radiating a faint afterglow of lightning energy as he gazed around with steely focus. He clenched his fists and nodded firmly. ’I need to train the Invisibility Cloak skill.’
Though it wasn’t a technique of explosive force like his sword arts or draconic abilities, Max instinctively knew this skill would be a trump card—a shield of shadows that could save his life in countless situations, especially with the enemies he was bound to face in the chaotic Middle Domain.
And he wasn’t content with merely learning it at a basic level. No, he wanted mastery. Level 100 mastery.
Time rolled forward relentlessly in his sealed dimension, though outside it was merely a single hour.
Stepping back into the private chamber, Max opened his eyes, his irises shimmering faintly with residual silver light as he steadied his breathing. He rose smoothly to his feet, a faint smile tugging at his lips. ’This will definitely come in handy...’
After tidying himself up, Max left the level one section, descending the spiraling corridors of the Hunter Association tower until he finally stepped into the ground floor—the bustling level zero section, where non-elder hunters moved about in constant motion.
Merchants shouted deals from behind counters, hunters haggled over equipment and monster materials, and everywhere spiritual energy buzzed like a silent hive.
As he strode into the open space, he caught sight of a familiar group gathered near one of the towering marble columns. Alice stood there in her white phoenix robes, her vivid red hair shimmering like flames, chatting lightly with Arlen, Lena, and the rest of his team.
"Max, you’re here! We were just talking about you," Arlen called out brightly, waving as though greeting a long-lost brother.
Max tilted his head, eyes shifting between each of their smiling faces. "Oh? And what exactly were you all talking about?" he asked, curiosity flickering across his features.
Arlen opened his mouth, but Lena interrupted him, folding her arms and stepping forward, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Forget about that for now. Max, you should try the Void Hall. It’s a magical place for sure! I haven’t even tried it and I am excited about it."
Max lifted a brow. "What’s so special about it?" He knew that the Void Hall was a facility in the level zero section, primarily intended for hunters who were not true members of the Hunter Association like elders. But given his own elevated status, he found it hard to imagine what could be so special in a place meant for those of lesser rank.
"You just have to experience it to understand," Arlen chimed in, nodding emphatically. "Trust me, you won’t be dissatisfied. It’s incredible. Just hearing about it makes me wants to enter that place but alas i don’t have enough merit points to enter that place."
"Go ahead and try it," Alice added gently, her eyes bright with encouragement.
Max let out a resigned sigh, though a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Alright, as you guys say so."
With that, he turned, his robes fluttering lightly around him as he began striding purposefully through the lively hall, heading toward the distant, towering archway marked with intricate runes—the entrance to the Void Hall.
In his mind, curiosity burned as fiercely as ever about the mysteries shrouding the Void Hall. Max’s eyes glimmered, reflecting the lantern lights scattered across the ceiling, and he couldn’t help recalling Princess Lyra’s firm voice echoing in his memory.
She too had urged him and the others to make time to enter the Void Hall, emphasizing its value and potential. ’It seems the Void Hall is not a simple place at all,’ he mused, his brows knitting together in quiet thought as he navigated between bustling hunters, merchants, and warriors hurrying from one counter to another.
Despite being in the level zero section—the ground floor meant for those outside the official ranks of the Hunter Association—the aura surrounding the Void Hall’s domain felt distinctly different.
Not long after, he quickly arrived before a massive arch-shaped doorway carved from black stone, set into the far wall of the ground floor. Above the arch, the words "Void Hall" were etched in flowing silver script that shimmered as if breathing.
Unlike other sections guarded by stationed elders or attendants, there weren’t any guards flanking the entrance, nor bustling lines of people waiting to get in. Instead, a narrow beam of red light pulsed steadily across the threshold, humming faintly, as though the entrance itself possessed a will, silently judging whether one was worthy to cross.
Max slowed his steps and reached into his storage space, fingers brushing against the cool, faceted surface of the hexagonal stone the Hunter Association had issued him—a stone that recorded his merit points from the recent battle against the Nulls.
Holding it firmly in one hand, he stepped forward, planting himself squarely before the archway.
The red light instantly responded, flaring brighter as it swept across him from head to toe, then focused on the merit stone in his palm. A soft chime rang out—a high, clear sound like a single note plucked from a celestial harp—and the red beam shifted, flowing like liquid fire until it glowed a vivid emerald green.
With a smooth, almost imperceptible groan, the enormous stone doors of the Void Hall slowly parted, cool mist wafting out from the crack as a pale light spilled through. The mist coiled around Max’s ankles, carrying an electric tingle that made the tiny lightning essence swirling inside his body respond in kind, crackling faintly beneath his skin.
Drawing a slow, deliberate breath, Max took a step forward, his figure slipping past the threshold and into the mysteries of the Void Hall.
