Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!-Chapter 1590 - 1588: A Different World (The Horde Are All Useless!)
The battle began unexpectedly in the Star Realm.
Drones shrieked as they crisscrossed through the air, beams of light slicing through the darkness, tearing open space. Explosions and fire broke out incessantly as the Geese Yankees wielded their giant Silver Swords, launching an offensive against the swarming drones. On another side, the Star Realm Fortress of the Geese Yankees erupted with bright, dazzling Radiance, invisible magic power condensing under the attraction of Spiritual Energy, transforming into a raging torrent that bombarded the massive metal warships – only to be pierced by energy beams glowing with plasma Radiance, then directly impacting the fortress.
The blue Magic Barrier shattered after less than ten seconds, followed by a lightning-like flash that illuminated the originally Pitch Black Star Realm in a blanket of white.
Accompanied by deafening roars, a corner of the gigantic Star Realm Fortress was directly disassembled and vanished, with only scattered remnants drifting in the Star Realm, while other parts were transformed by pure energy blasts into particles that disappeared forever from this world.
Touma stared blankly at the scene before her, momentarily at a loss for words. She couldn’t comprehend why things had turned out this way; after all, Touma was born and lived in a peaceful world, and she couldn’t understand the situation where a simple disagreement over blocking each other’s path would lead to a direct clash.
"What’s wrong, Touma?"
At this moment, Sora also approached with a grin, looking at Touma. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
"Sora... I think... this..."
Faced with Sora’s inquiry, Touma didn’t know what to say for a moment.
"Hmm?"
"Just felt... this is too... a bit unexpected."
"Unexpected?"
"I think Mr. Fang Zheng made a very wise decision."
At this point, Crystal Head floated over and joined the conversation between the two.
"Although I don’t know what kind of world this young lady comes from, this is the Star Realm, a place without laws, justice, kindness, or evil. There’s nothing here, those with power have a voice, while the weak are trampled and enslaved, destined for death. You should be grateful this gentleman is willing to personally send you home; otherwise, you might have already completely lost yourself in this world."
With that, Crystal Head shook a little.
"This is like a jungle, where two beasts meet without knowing each other’s depths or power. In such situations, whoever retreats first implies weakness, and weakness means death."
"So, what would happen if my brother had chosen to make way?"
At this point, Sora also curiously asked.
"Those Geese Yankees might keep following you and look for chances to strike. After all, they are Galactic Pirates of the Star Realm, and Mr. Fang Zheng’s warships appear very valuable. They might deliberately lure some Star Realm Behemoths to weaken your power and attack when you let your guard down... Yeah, indeed, this would bring a lot of unexpected trouble. And the method to completely eliminate these unexpected troubles is just as it is now."
"........."
Hearing this, Touma remained silent. Although she didn’t know what Star Realm Behemoths were, she understood Crystal Head’s meaning. Naturally, Touma couldn’t imagine a situation where simply coming face to face would lead to an attempt to kill you.
"Sora... Aren’t you afraid?"
"I’m not afraid, my brother will protect me."
Sora appeared calm.
"Besides, I usually wouldn’t come to such dangerous places. If not for going back home this time, I would be chatting with Latifa over tea."
While the two were talking, the battle was nearing its end.
Even in the Star Realm, the technological disparity remains glaring— the Silver Sword in the hands of the Geese Yankees could easily slice through the shells of the mysterious creatures and cut their souls into pieces. Yet, it remains futile before the Klein Field and Psionic Barrier. Their spiritual thoughts could crush flesh and blood into fragments in a single thought, but they are equally powerless in the face of Laser Cannons.
Furthermore, others soon joined the battle.
The Star Realm is a world of spirit and soul; thus, its girls unleashed their power fluidly. Atalanta raised the Longbow in her hand, countless Arrows of Light showering down, engulfing the entire battlefield like torrential rain. Little Hei bent the bow and nocked an arrow, aiming at the fortress’s turret ahead. She then gently released with her right hand, only to see Radiance flash. Next moment, with Fantasy Collapse, a circular explosive Light Beam completely swallowed the turret that was futilely retaliating, blowing it into fragments.
Illya danced in the void, her original pink and white magical girl outfit transformed into a purple robe, revealing her slender and enchanting snow-white legs. She raised the silver staff in her hand, and countless circular magic circles spun and appeared out of thin air behind her, sweeping forward with thunderous power.
Neflen and Katori charged into the "shoal" formed by the Geese Yankees like two sharks, wielding the Holy Swords in their hands to split the enemies in front of them into halves or thirds. The power and skill of the Geese Yankees were equally unimpressive in front of them—although the Geese Yankees were considered masters of tactical warfare, their performance against the Golden Fairies, who were also born for battle, was no better than a shoal of fish fleeing in panic from a shark.
Soon, the battle between the two behemoths was decided. The Geese Yankees quickly realized they had kicked an iron plate and encountered a target they shouldn’t have provoked. Hence, they decisively began to retreat, and the dilapidated Star Realm Fortress, under the escort of Geese Yankee warships, attempted to withdraw as well.
However, Fang Zheng clearly had no intention of letting them off. He made a gesture, and the fleet immediately advanced. In nature, no beast would let its prey escape. The strong prey on the weak; even elephants would trample over creatures that don’t give way. In this multiverse, in this vast world, in this infinite void, strength is justice, and range is truth.
The dazzling light beam began to condense once again, and the golden energy body swiftly erupted, striking the already crumbling Star Realm Fortress once more.
This time, the Geese Yankees’ psionic barrier finally failed. The shining golden radiance tore through its already dilapidated shell like a sharp dagger, hitting the core of the fortress composed of unknown materials.
The entire space seemed to twist at this moment, then suddenly exploded. The distorted starry sky spun and condensed into a small point before bursting forth with a radiance comparable to the burning sun.
And at that moment, the Crystal Head suddenly spoke.
"Now is the time! The gate is open!"
Sure enough, before the Crystal Head finished speaking, a rift appeared at the center of the twisted and torn fortress remnants. It looked like a gap chiseled into a wall, but Fang Zheng could feel the chaotic and ever-changing dimensional space within displaying some sort of special order, as if scattered sand magically formed a picture.
"We have only one minute."
"Charge in!"
Fang Zheng unhesitatingly gave the order, and in the next moment, the fleet immediately accelerated, rushing through the bombarded wreckage, and into the chaotic dimensional passage. Soon after, the passage gradually disappeared, leaving only the damaged remnants of the Star Realm Fortress in the endless void.
The remaining Geese Yankees began to regroup, attempting to repair the completely destroyed Star Realm Fortress. It was meaningless to vent their anger at the prime culprit. Maintaining their existence was the only way to...
The darkness stirred.
No sound, no wailing, no screams. The Geese Yankees and their fortress vanished suddenly into the darkness. No one knew what happened; only when the view was pulled back as far as an entire star system could a gigantic monster, stretching over ten thousand kilometers, be seen quietly shifting its body. It extended its tongue, licking its lips as if it had just consumed a morsel at the corner of its mouth, then swished its tail and continued swimming forward into the infinite starry sky.
The spatial teleportation did not greatly impact Fang Zheng and his team. When they passed through the passage, the incoming yellow sand caught them off guard.
Countless grains of yellow sand swept in like a vast wave, even making Iona falter for a moment. Fortunately, for the Azure Battleship, the trivial yellow sand posed no real problem.
But as they broke through the sand and reached the sky again, they found themselves in the vast heart of a desert.
"Well, I suppose I should be thankful we’re on a warship; otherwise, we’d probably be buried in a sandpile."
Looking at the ever-flowing sand and caves on the ground, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly, then turned to Crystal Head once more.
"You didn’t do this on purpose, did you?"
"Of course not, Mr. Fang Zheng. I did say that we could only take some detours..."
"...Alright, let’s assume that’s the case."
Fang Zheng shook his head at Crystal Head’s response. Although he had traveled through many worlds, he was not so familiar with the Star Realm. Frankly, he never imagined that casually getting into a conflict with the Geese Yankees could open up a passage.
"So what do we do next? Find another enemy to fight?"
"No need for that."
Crystal Head shook its head.
"We are currently in the Outland... Hmm, perhaps we should choose a different route."
