Nate smirked confidently, his fingers tightening around the hilt of his blade.

He glanced at the three siblings flanking him and the two elders standing resolutely at his side. His plan was flawless. The elders would keep Allison occupied—especially since she was burdened by carrying Lady Vinegar—and he and his siblings would handle Enel.

Victory was inevitable.

Once Enel was dead, Nate would finally claim the Command Law embedded in Enel’s dead body.

He could already envision the power coursing through his veins, cementing his dominance.

But then, Enel smirked back, an infuriatingly calm expression on his face. "Nate," he said coolly, "for someone so sure of himself, you’re utterly blind. You’re not the one with the upper hand here."

Nate raised a brow, scoffing at the remark. "Outnumbered, outmatched, and out of options, brother. I’d say it’s you who’s too stupid to see the obvious."

But just as Nate finished speaking, a sickening sound of flesh being sliced tore through the air. The unmistakable sound of a sword meeting flesh.

Nate froze.

Turning swiftly, his eyes widened in disbelief as he saw Lana, their youngest sister, lowering her bloodied blade.

Her victim, Dana—his full-blooded sister—stumbled for a brief moment before her head slid cleanly off her neck, hitting the floor with a gruesome thud.

"Lana…?" Nate whispered, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

Lana didn’t stop. With fluid precision, she turned her blade toward Jay, another sibling.

Jay barely managed to dodge her first strike, his blade clashing against hers in a frantic parry. Sparks flew as their swords collided, but Lana was faster. She flipped into the air, gracefully landing beside Enel, her sword dripping with Dana’s blood.

The room fell into stunned silence.

Nate’s expression twisted into a mix of fury and betrayal. "Lana," he growled, his voice trembling. "For how long?"

Lana wiped the blood off her blade with a calculated motion, her face unreadable. "From the very beginning," she said calmly. "Every move you’ve made, every scheme you’ve plotted—I’ve fed all of it to Enel. Including your pathetic little attempt at poisoning him during dinner."

The realization hit Nate like a punch to the gut. His hand tightened around his sword, trembling with rage.

"Why?!" he barked, his voice rising with fury. "Enel is trash—a half-breed werewolf trash. But we… we are chosen! We are high elves!"

Lana’s eyes blazed with defiance. "But he is our brother," she spat.

"Half-brother! Trash!" Nate snapped back, venom dripping from every word. His voice cracked as he continued. "I was willing to kill our father for the throne. That is how far my determination goes. Do you think a treacherous sister is beyond my reach?"

Nate advanced on Lana, his blade gleaming dangerously.

But before he could strike, another voice rang out from behind him—deep, commanding, and unmistakably familiar.

"About that…" the voice said, calm but laced with menace. "Who told you I was dead?"

Everyone froze, turning toward the source.

There, standing in the doorway, was Luca, their father.

His presence was overwhelming, his imposing form casting a long shadow across the room. His eyes glowed faintly, and a knowing smirk rested on his face.

For the first time, Nate’s confidence cracked. His sword hand lowered slightly, and his voice came out as a stammer. "F-Father…?"

Luca stepped forward, his gaze sweeping the room. "Surprised, are we? I suppose it’s understandable. After all, patricide is such a bold step—especially when it fails."

Nate’s face twisted in anger. "I—"

"Silence," Luca commanded, his voice sharp enough to cut through steel. "You thought yourself clever, Nate. Ambitious, even. But your arrogance has blinded you to the most critical truth of all."

"And what’s that?" Nate spat, his rage building again.

"That I am not so easy to kill," Luca said simply, a cold smile curling his lips.

Enel, standing silently beside Lana, couldn’t help but smirk. "Well, this just got interesting," he muttered.

Allison, clutching Lady Vinegar tightly, whispered under her breath, "What now?"

Enel’s expression didn’t change. "Now?" he said softly. "Now we watch as the real game begins."

Luca stepped forward, his eyes glinting with a mixture of authority and disdain as he addressed the room. His voice was steady but carried a cold edge that silencedeveryone present.

"I’ve always known about your schemes, Nate," Luca began, his gaze locking on his son. "The plots, the failed attempts on Enel’s life… All of it. You thought you were clever, didn’t you?"

Nate swallowed hard, as his confidence faltered.

"But I let it happen," Luca continued, his tone almost conversational. "Because I’ve always believed in the power of competition even among siblings. After all, it was no different for me. My own father tried to kill me when I was a child." He paused, a bitter smirk forming on his lips. And Enel frowning a bit.

"Did you know that? My mother told me herself. Our bloodline is cursed, son. A curse of betrayal and violence. We are born to sharpen our blades against each other."

The room was deathly silent.

"But you," Luca’s voice dropped, becoming icy. "You dared to lift your sword against me—your father. That… is a line you should never have crossed."

Nate’s hands trembled as he gripped his sword tighter.

Luca’s expression darkened as his aura grew oppressive. "I gave you life, all of you," he said, his voice echoing with a terrifying finality. "And now, I will take back what I gave."

Without warning, Luca kicked against the ground, launching himself toward Nate like a force of nature. The air cracked under the pressure of his movement, and his sword gleamed ominously in his hand.

"Father, wait—!" Nate began, but before he could finish, the two elders stepped in front of him, their magical energy flaring to defend their chosen heir.

They unleashed waves of magic—one elder summoned roaring torrents of fire, while the other cast jagged arcs of lightning aimed directly at Luca. The room was engulfed in heat and light as their spells converged.

But Luca was the champion of the city for a reason. With a single swipe of his sword, he cut through the magic as if it were mere air, the energy dissipating into harmless sparks and embers.

His aura erupted outward, a suffocating wave of raw power that blasted the elders off their feet and sent them crashing into the walls.

"You think THAT could stop me?" Luca sneered, his voice laced with contempt.

He surged forward again, his target clear.

Desperate, Jay and the other siblings moved to intercept him. Jay, clutching his sword, stood defiantly in front of Nate. "You’ll have to get through us first!"

Luca’s response was a sadistic smile, devoid of any parental warmth. His blade gleamed as he spoke. "So be it."

With a single swing of his sword, the air itself seemed to split apart. The sound of tearing flesh and snapping bones filled the room as Jay and the others were caught in Luca’s merciless attack.

Jay’s torso was severed diagonally, his upper half sliding off his legs as blood sprayed in grotesque arcs.

Another sibling’s arm flew through the air, followed by their head, their expression frozen in shock. One tried to block Luca’s strike but was split cleanly down the middle, their body collapsing into two gruesome halves.

The floor became slick with blood and scattered body parts, the metallic stench of death filling the room.

Everyone froze, stunned by the sheer brutality. Even the elders, slowly recovering, stared in horror.

Luca stood amidst the carnage, his face calm but his eyes glinting with sadistic satisfaction. "I told you," he said coldly, stepping over the remains of his children, "I gave you life. It’s only fitting that I decide when it ends."

Nate, now visibly shaking, stumbled backward as his father turned his attention to him.

"Father… no… please!" Nate begged, his voice breaking with fear.

Luca’s smile widened, his steps were deliberate as he closed the distance.
