Chapter 606: Chapter 326: You Are in My Heart (First Update)

Kenneth Osborne hadn’t actually thought about the price just now.

He asked confusedly, "...But this is a film made by your company. If I go to bid, won’t they say you’re doing ’insider trading’? Won’t it affect you?"

Lawrence Winters blinked; she hadn’t thought about this problem either.

"Well... if I’m not the producer of this film, it shouldn’t matter, right?" Lawrence fiddled with the mouse, pondering, "Besides, this isn’t a government tender, there’s no such thing as avoiding direct relatives."

Kenneth didn’t want Lawrence’s job to be criticized because of him, insisting, "You should still ask. If I can, I’ll definitely give it a try. If not, then forget it. I can set up a dedicated department to establish a name for making film visual effects first."

"Don’t worry, Kenneth, I’ll make them beg you to do it. What you need to do is think about how much you’ll charge." Lawrence’s eyes turned as she already came up with an idea, "By the way, I remember that when they hire those foreign special effects companies, they charge by the hour. Foreign companies charge at least five thousand foreign currency per hour, which means thirty thousand here in our country. Companies like Micro Tower charge even more, so the special effects fees for their country’s movies are often in the hundreds of millions."

Kenneth laughed, "That’s quite a profit, rest assured, my charging won’t be lower than Micro Tower’s, but the time needed will be much less than theirs, so the total price will be much lower than theirs. For your company, it certainly won’t exceed the budget."

"I’m not certain about their exact budget, but I know their technology isn’t as good as yours, plus yours can even self-evolve. If I don’t help you, whom should I help?" Lawrence snapped her fingers, "Check if your program needs any more improvements. I’ll go find someone to urge the director and producer of that film to see if they have released the bidding requirements."

Kenneth happened to be having a "coding itch" and wanted to see if there was anything else he could modify or learn about.

If there was, he could use it for his other artificial intelligence projects.

He discovered that this program’s "human-computer interaction" function was particularly remarkable. It could directly convert Lawrence’s voice commands into images and continuously optimize itself. The depth of learning of this artificial intelligence was not inferior to that of "AlphaGo," the AI that could play the game of Go.

As Kenneth started studying those codes in the study, Lawrence left the study and noticed her stomach growling.

She checked her phone and saw that it was almost 11 a.m.

Forget about breakfast; might as well have lunch.

Lawrence freshened up in the bathroom, took a shower, and felt too lazy to order takeout, so she made a few thick egg roll toasts herself.

She didn’t like the taste of cheese, so she only used rich, creamy salad dressing, along with ham slices made by the old Daoist, some lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and avocado sauce, spread over three slices of bread.

She then beat three eggs and covered the bread slices thoroughly in the egg mixture from top to bottom, front to back.

When the oil in the pan was hot, she placed the three-layer thick toasts covered in a thick layer of egg mixture into the frying pan and quickly flipped them. In less than a minute, one was done.

She made two thick egg roll toasts, ten centimeters high each, then diagonally cut them into four triangles, placing them on a blue and white porcelain plate.

One plate had three triangular thick egg roll toasts in it, prepared for Kenneth Osborne.

The other plate had only one, which was for herself.

She also put some segments of bright red mandarin, half a peeled kiwi, a small dish of amber walnuts, and a cup of coffee on the plate to bring to Kenneth in the study.

Kenneth was quite surprised and picked up a thick egg roll toast with a smile, taking a bite. It was actually quite good; the ham inside had a slight pine smoke aroma, balancing the slight fishiness of the golden fried egg toast, which suited his taste.

He knew that the fishy smell was actually because Lawrence forgot to add white pepper while frying the eggs, otherwise, there wouldn’t have been any fishy smell at all.

But he didn’t say anything, devoured one and drank some coffee, finally suppressing the hunger in his stomach.

Seeing Kenneth devour one of the triangular egg roll toast pieces in just a few bites, Lawrence felt quite pleased.

This meant that her egg roll toast was delicious!

Although she didn’t like cooking and wasn’t very good at it, she could still manage these sort of semi-finished product preparations that didn’t require much technical skill.

Lawrence left the study and began to sit down to enjoy her own triangular egg roll toast.
