Chapter 932 - Challenge

The four brothers and Han Feizi sat around the stone chamber. Han Feizi had remained silent throughout the process as this was a matter between the four brothers, and he had no right to interfere.

"I need their information. We will challenge them in five days and defeat them honorably," Liu Wuxie said. He now needed information on his enemies to guarantee their victory.

"The one who defeated me is called Wu Sha," Jiang Le said.

"Mine was Ji Yu," Yu Zhibai continued.

"And mine was Lu Ming," Shen Rong added.

"Brother Han, can I trouble you with a trip to the Thousand Divination Court?" Liu Wuxie turned to look at Han Feizi. His three senior brothers were still injured, and it wasn't convenient for them to collect information.

He still wasn't familiar with the Heavenly Spirit Celestial Academy, so he turned to Han Feizi. The Thousand Divination Court had eyes everywhere, and Han Long, his uncle, was the court master.

Han Feizi rolled his eyes at Liu Wuxie. He already knew Liu Wuxie would have a request for him.

"I will help you, but you must teach me your forging technique in return," Han Feizi said with a grin. He still hadn't forged the materials he had acquired from the Spirit Jade Pavilion, and after witnessing the power of the Heretic Blade, he was eager to learn Liu Wuxie's blacksmithing methods.

"You got a deal!" Liu Wuxie agreed without hesitation. The forging technique was trivial to him, and the Heretic Blade couldn't be replicated.

He had numerous ordinary blacksmithing techniques, and just a few tips from him could benefit Han Feizi for years.

Han Feizi departed from the Heavenly Gate Peak to the Thousand Divination Court to gather information on Wu Sha, Ji Yu, and Lu Ming.

"Junior Brother, this person doesn't seem simple," Jiang Le said after Han Feizi left. It was clear that Han Feizi came from a prominent background.

"I don't even know his true identity. I only know he's the nephew of the Thousand Divination Court's court master," Liu Wuxie replied with a shrug. He didn't know much about Han Feizi, but that didn't stop them from being his friend, as there was no need for friends to pry into each other's secrets.

"Junior Brother, you said we'll challenge them in five days? But how can we face them in our current state?" Shen Rong said hesitantly.

They were eager for revenge but had yet to recover from their injuries. The odds weren't in their favor if they fought in this condition.

Although Jiang Le and Yu Zhibai said nothing, they also showed the same concern. Five days weren't enough for them to recover, much less defeat their opponents.

"Leave the rest to me. From today onward, you three have to do as I say," Liu Wuxie said. He might have been the youngest, but he easily led them without issue, as he had surpassed them in cultivation. Even their fighting spirits began to ignite under the influence of his words.

"Junior Brother, don't worry. We'll follow your lead," Yu Zhibai said, his eyes blazing with excitement.

"Give me one day. I'll have a surprise for you tomorrow morning. Just focus on healing your injuries for now," Liu Wuxie said. He needed time to sort things out and tell them what to do next.

Elder Madman heard their conversation, and his eyes shone with golden light.

With Han Feizi gone to gather information, Liu Wuxie returned to his thatched hut and began sorting the materials. He had read countless manuals in the Exquisite Pavilion, and there were several powerful footwork techniques. However, they were not easy to learn and were unsuitable for Jiang Le.

Five days was enough time for them to make a breakthrough; the only way to do so was to strengthen their combat strength.

He began sorting through all the footwork techniques from the Exquisite Pavilion, fusing them into the Heavenly Dao Book. He planned on using it to analyze a new footwork technique.

All his footwork techniques were spirit-grade martial techniques, and the power would be formidable if he succeeded.

After four hours, Liu Wuxie was done creating a new footwork technique.

His miniature projection appeared in the Heavenly Dao Book and flickered with afterimages. With each step, he left behind afterimages.

There was a sense of cutting through ten thousand techniques with a single strike.

Next, Liu Wuxie had to simplify the Soul Forging Art for Yu Zhibai. After all, the Soul Spear could kill, relying on soul energy alone. This was a more straightforward process, and Liu Wuxie only took two hours to complete the simplified Soul Forging Art, which had only one move.

The plan for Shen Rong was easier, as Liu Wuxie only had to teach him a body-refining technique to awaken his dormant Kunpeng bloodline.

By nightfall, Han Feizi finally returned.

"You were right. Your three senior brothers were set up," Han Feizi said as he went straight into the topic. He had learned from his uncle that someone had manipulated the outcome of the battle.

Such information wasn't supposed to be leaked, and Han Feizi had gone to great lengths to obtain it. He had even threatened to run away again, angering his uncle to the point of nearly locking him up.

However, Han Long had eventually given in to Han Feizi's persistence, telling him everything, on the condition that he would keep it a secret.

"This is probably a warning. They couldn't come after me, so they struck the people around me," Liu Wuxie said with a hint of murderous intent flashing across his eyes.

His senior brothers rarely made enemies with others, and Liu Wuxie had openly admitted that he was the mastermind behind the spiritual rice incident. This meant it had nothing to do with his senior brothers.

"They're hostile. I heard from my uncle that they're not the only ones who want you dead," Han Feizi added. He could tell from his uncle's tone that he wished Liu Wuxie to keep a low profile for the time being.

Liu Wuxie nodded as he had already anticipated it. He knew Miao Hanxuan wasn't the only one after him. There were many others, and the White Dragon Peak was just one of them.

Liu Wuxie had embarrassed the White Dragon Peak back in the Star Eclipse Valley. When an elder from the White Dragon Peak had tried to intervene, Elder Madman had slapped him.

Then, he had killed Qi Yang and utterly disgraced the White Dragon Peak.

"I'll take it one step at a time for now," Liu Wuxie muttered. He didn't have a solution, and Liu Clan was also in trouble.

Though the Liu Clan appeared prominent, their odds of winning against the Golden Cauldron Pavilion were low. This meant the Liu Clan's great ship could sink at any moment.

"I've also asked my uncle for information on the Golden Cauldron Pavilion," Han Feizi said as he sat down across from Liu Wuxie, pulling a spiritual fruit from his robe and taking a bite.

"Have you found any clues?" Liu Wuxie asked. He knew that the Thousand Divination Court had eyes in every corner of the continent. If anyone had intel on the Golden Cauldron Pavilion, it would be them.

"My uncle just told me to tell you one thing—stay as far away from them as possible," Han Feizi replied with a shrug. He hadn't mentioned it earlier, not wanting to bruise Liu Wuxie's pride.

Though that didn't sound like much, it was enough for Liu Wuxie. He could confirm that the Golden Cauldron Pavilion was so mysterious that even the Heavenly Spirit Celestial Academy feared it.

When Han Feizi left, and Liu Wuxie was alone in the room, he stood by the window with a hint of wit and madness flashing in his eyes.

Taking out the three things he had prepared, he went to look for his senior brothers. They were all moved to tears when he gave them the new techniques.

They already knew that Liu Wuxie had entered the Exquisite Pavilion and read all the books.

"Junior Brother, we won't forget this."

Although they were martial brothers, Liu Wuxie had done a great deal for them. They were senior brothers, but they were filled with guilt because they could do nothing to help Liu Wuxie.

"Senior Brothers, there's no need for thanks. We're martial brothers of Heavenly Gate Peak—we stand together," Liu Wuxie replied firmly. To him, this wasn't about gratitude. He was the reason they had been targeted, and now that the enemy had come knocking, there was no room for passivity.

"There's no time to be sentimental. Let's start training since we don't have much time left," Jiang Le said. They just had to remember what Liu Wuxie had done for them.

After seeing his senior brothers off, Liu Wuxie sat down and penned three challenge letters, each signed in their names.

When he descended the mountain, he encountered a fellow disciple. Handing over several hundred spirit stones, he gave the disciple the letters and instructed him to deliver them directly to White Dragon Peak.

In just two hours, everyone in the academy knew that the Heavenly Gate Peak's three disciples had issued a challenge to the White Dragon Peak.

This time, the location of the duel wasn't in the Astral Moon Valley, as Liu Wuxie had already destroyed it. The venue was set at the martial field at the sect's entrance, where the new disciples gathered upon joining the academy.

Most importantly, these weren't ordinary challenges but a declaration of life and death. The duels would only end when one side lay dead.

When they received the challenge at White Dragon Peak, Wu Sha, Ji Yu, and Lu Ming quickly gathered.

"What do you think?" Wu Sha turned to look at Ji Yu and Lu Ming, wanting to hear their opinions.

The challenge from the Heavenly Gate Peak was outrageous. No one had dared to challenge the White Dragon Peak all these years.

Even Liu Wuxie's duel with Qi Yang was initiated by the latter.

"We'd better inform the upper echelons about it. Only we know how we won that day," Ji Yu said. He knew they had only relied on underhanded methods to win against the trio. In a fight to the death, it wouldn't be easy for them to kill Jiang Le, Yu Zhibai, and Shen Rong.

"Agreed. Though we're not afraid, it's best to be cautious," Lu Ming replied, agreeing with Ji Yang. It was best for them to ask the White Dragon Peak's upper echelons about it, as they couldn't afford to lose in this challenge.

"What are you worried about?"

A figure appeared outside the courtyard, back turned, shrouded in a strange aura. As he spoke, the temperature dropped, freezing the very air.

"Greetings, Elder!" The three disciples bowed in reverence at the appearance of the mysterious elder.

"I have heard of the challenge, and your job is to fight. Leave the rest to others," the elder said, his tone devoid of emotion. When he spoke, the temperature in the entire courtyard plummeted even further.

"Understood!" Wu Sha nodded.

"Remember, you must kill them. Otherwise, don't bother coming back alive," said the elder before he left, just like how he had appeared out of nowhere.
