Demonic Skeleton God-Chapter 52: Spell Master
Chapter 52: Spell Master
Flain then told Ghosty a shortened version of his story, explaining that he was immortal but leaving out the part about his past life since he disliked talking about it. He also omitted the system and gave the same excuse about soul absorbing that he had told Itai, lying about it just in case Ghosty ever managed to escape. He also told him about Athrylith because he believed that if Athrylith didn’t want him to speak about it, he wouldn’t be able to say it at all.
"S-So you’re immortal, and every time you die, you r-reincarnate back to the moment your necromancer s-summoned you? And on top of that, some god named A-Athrylith is watching us?" Ghosty stammered.
"And on top of that, I’ll probably stay bound to you even when you die, because Athrylith said that true immortality means the soul cannot leave its body, and since my soul is bound to yours, that means I’m stuck with you forever," Ghosty muttered, staring at the ground.
"Damn it, so I’m going to be tied forever to some maniacal, immortal lunatic? Damn it, I just wanted some fun, and I end up with this," Ghosty whined, while Flain just smirked.
"Alright, now I’m going to do my own thing. Don’t bother me and circle around the house. If anyone’s watching us or doing anything suspicious, let me know," Flain said.
"I’m not going to serve you," Ghosty argued.
"Look, we’re probably going to be together for eternity. So I want you to help me—survival is in both our interests," Flain said.
"Fine, but next time, you’ll do something for me," Ghosty said and flew through the walls, leaving the basement.
Flain then opened his stats.

Flain first clicked on Spell Master, which surprisingly had a level.
[Spell Master
Level:1
As your sub-class, you have obtained Spell Master. Spell Masters create spells. You now have the ability to make your own spell. However, it’s not that simple—you’ll need to spend a lot of time on it and be extremely focused. Skills that you create and want to upgrade to a higher stage don’t just require reaching level 15—you must manually refine them. To learn how to start creating, ask the system, and it will teach you.
Next level: 1000 EXP]
After reading this, Flain wasn’t sure what to think. He could now create his own skills. That was big—very big.
Flain then clicked on his new title.
[Spell Master
You are a Spell Master, meaning you can create skills. Congratulations, this is a great achievement that only a few beings have managed to accomplish. The level of focus required to maintain while casting is incredible. This also brings some advantages—beings who know at least one of your skills will like you 50% more, and if someone attacks you using your own spells, you will take 50% less damage.]
’Alright, system, teach me how to create spells,’ Flain thought.
[Tip: First, think about wanting to create spells.]
Flain did as the system instructed. He thought about wanting to create a spell. A new system window appeared in front of him, allowing him to choose the stage of his skill. Flain had only unlocked the first stage, so he clicked on it. Suddenly, his eyes closed.
Flain found himself in an endless void of darkness. Large white dots covered the ground. His body was translucent, and he could float like a ghost, but he could only move along the same plane—he couldn’t ascend or descend. A terrible sensation overcame him, as if his head were about to explode. His mind couldn’t handle the overwhelming influx of sensations.
[Tip: In this infinite space, there are an infinite number of dots that you can connect to create a spell. It may seem simple, but it is far more complicated than it looks. The surrounding dots exert an immense influence on you, making it extremely difficult for your mind to process. You will have to get used to it. To connect a dot, you must be in absolute concentration. Each dot radiates numerous emotions that fit into the spell. Every feeling and every dot must align perfectly, and in your mind, it must form a perfect understanding for the spell to be successful.]
Flain read it about ten times because he didn’t understand it at all. But as he relaxed and slowly attuned himself to the sensations around him, he began to grasp it.
Each dot had a different aura, different concept and different feeling, he had to connect them so they made complete sense. But it wasn’t enough to just link a few dots. It was difficult to put into words. Flain estimated that creating a single spell might take him as long as six months.
He had to leave immediately because he felt that if he stayed even a second longer, he wouldn’t be able to endure it.
Flain opened his eyes. He needed to clear his mind for at least an hour before he could go back in.
’Heh, this is going to be quite a challenge,’ Flain thought.
It was somewhat similar to programming, yet fundamentally different. Back when Flain was in the army, he had an acquaintance who programmed weapons for the military. The guy let Flain try it, but Flain didn’t understand it and had no interest in learning, as he had his own primary goal.
Flain had to think about what kind of skill he wanted to create as his first one. Eventually, he decided on the type of skill he would attempt to craft. It was quite difficult at the start, but Flain had confidence in himself.
Flain had planned to train here and slowly accumulate EXP and money indefinitely, but this had completely disrupted his plans...
