Demon Lord: Erotic Adventure in Another World-Chapter 772: Her Transient Smile
Asmodeus climbed out of the crystal seat, his face shining after enjoying the past few hours with Nerim inside. Likewise, the mermaid’s silky smooth caramel skin practically sparkled after a huge amount of nourishment.
"You!" Valena pointed at Asmodeus, her eyes squinting and body shaking.
"What?"
"Do you not realise that we’ve been sitting here waiting for six hours?!"
"Huh, but..."
He looked around, but still found the three women standing frozen while auctioning off some kind of artefact from the southern mountains. Asmodeus craned his head before he looked at Valena again and twisted his lips.
"It doesn’t look like that to me."
However, when the ghostly figure of Mei reappeared and stretched while yawning. Asmodeus raised his brows. Despite being a ghost, her cheeks glistened with a silky red sheen similar to Nerim’s.
"Oi, what happened?" He didn’t think this haughty dragon would lie to him.
"Well, you linked yourself to her body while in dragon form, right?"
He nodded. "Of course!"
"Mm, you see... I wanted to see if I could alter that link to make it more malleable."
He grabbed her head, squeezing it tight. "Just what the hell did you do?!" It was only thanks to his sudden growth in his domain that they could waste time talking. But he needed to know, just in case something happened in the future.
Mei swatted the air, swinging her arms desperately while being flung around by Asmodeus.
The time outside still moved extremely slowly, draining his Divine Aura, but thanks to his fun with Nerim, he could probably keep this small field up for another twenty hours. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Ack~ stop, don’t crush my skull! I’ll speak, I’ll speak!"
"Don’t waste time."
"Hmph!" She snorted before floating behind Nerim and hiding herself. Then, made a cute noise while sticking out her tongue.
Asmodeus couldn’t link the previous Arbiter and this person named Mei. He listened to her speaking while contemplating what exactly the "creator" did to the people who became Arbiter’s for the change to be so extreme.
"The link which you made, now... It’s permanent and allows you to transfer energy to each other. Didn’t you notice your body recovering faster during "that act" earlier?"
A sudden flash exploded in Asmodeus’s mind; he’d recovered much faster after the huge edging session he endured. Normally, he’d be tired after such an intense act, Serena and Lumina like strange things after all...
But this.
"What benefits does it bring, and why does that correlate to her not being frozen in time? No... wait, why didn’t it affect you either?!" He hit his fist onto his palm and pointed at Mei again, with a snarl.
"It’s quite simple, to keep you connected, a transistor for your different energies to merge was obviously needed. I mean, divine, abyssal and even death energies don’t sit well with the unique power dragons create and possess!"
The explanation made sense.
Asmodeus could sense a strange, fiery energy inside... at first, he thought it was heartburn.
"So you used your existence to create a link between Valena and me, and inferred from your vague point. That’s why my domain has no effect on you two, not just that. You’re both able to use my energy to regenerate, heal and fight. At the same time, I can use Valena’s dragon aura, will this gather and become something permanent or... is it a temporary extra?"
He liked the idea of gaining a dragon’s power; it reminded him again of Velvet. A seething irritation grew in his chest when he knew someone hurt her. That’s when his gaze swept over Valena’s face, and his jaw dropped.
"Eh?"
Valena sat atop the crystal stage, her tail looped around her body while holding both hands on her cheeks, desperately trying to hide them.
"Hey, Valena, why’re your scales so red?"
"Why do you think?!" She shouted while pointing at him. "What kind of obscene thoughts are you having after eating that damn fish!?"
Nerim watched the situation quietly but chuckled upon seeing the interaction. Next to her, Mei curved into a sinister little grin and pumped her fist. "This is how it should go, first a fish, then a lizard and after... hehe." The mermaid shook her head, opened her item storage and started changing into her armour.
"What do you mean... I’ve only ever wanted to mount you sincerely!"
"Why do you say it in a way that can be misunderstood?!"
"Because you’re sexy!"
"?!"
Valena cocked her head, before her cheeks reddened further, and she opened her mouth as if to refute him, but instead flapped her four small wings towards him.
"Don’t worry, I understand. So it means I have to rail you if I want to gain your powers for myself, and you’d also gain something from me, right?" He started stretching his muscles, preparing for the domain to lift.
"C-Can you not say it so bluntly?!"
Asmodeus couldn’t help but enjoy teasing the dragon.
Her elegant voice sounded different to his other wives. Not to mention when she showed intense emotions, the fiery energy inside him swelled and grew larger.
However, there was a time for this kind of thing.
"Alright, so we can use each other’s power. Next, there needs to be a plan. I know for sure there’s likely more than two enemies. Right, Mei?"
Asmodeus paused, realising that even though he promised never to call her by that name, it seemed to have naturally started. ’Well, whatever.’ He thought.
"What do you require me to do, master?" Nerim no longer acted like an affectionate young lover; she wore a silver chain mail dress over a cloth tunic and leather skirt with a single large pauldron on her left shoulder.
’She looks so hot in that outfit.’
Asmodeus straightened himself, while pointing to the crowd, "Up there, Lun and Logan are watching the auction. I don’t believe for a second that damn dwarf left them safe in a place where he has control. The people around them are likely those with a grudge or members of his mercenary group." He took a breath, then tapped his chin. "He mentioned something about the previous mercenaries being stand-ins and not his people... so care will be needed."
The three women stared at Asmodeus, one with a swooning smile, the other two completely gobsmacked.
Valena never thought this perverted beast could be so serious. Her eyes moved between him and Nerim, noticing that even the fish became strange since coming out of the seat. Meanwhile, Mei watched Asmodeus with a fanciful stare.
"He’s like the knights I used to dream about..."
It was likely never meant to be audible, but Asmodeus’s keen ears picked up her quiet sentence, bringing a faint grin to his lips.
"Nerim, can you handle getting Logan and Lun to my wife, Serena?"
Nerim’s eyes widened; she’d met them in passing and spoke briefly to Serena and Lumina. Yet her shoulders quaked slightly upon hearing his request. "W-Will they mind it being me they see first?"
Who didn’t know how much those crazy women adored this man, he could accept their selfish request, fulfil their sordid desires and most of all. He loved them so much he’d probably start a war with god for any one of them.
"They would love to have a sister like you, trust me." He leaned Axiom over his shoulder while surveying the cavern, his gold eyes scrutinising the faintest specs as though searching for something. "Don’t worry, can you do it for me?"
Nerim rocked her head to the side with a smile. "Are you an idiot. Even if you asked me to jump into the fires of the abyss, I would do so."
"I would advise against that..."
Mei interrupted them while squatting in front of Nerim’s stomach and touching it with her incorporeal fingertips.
"Because the little ones... have barely begun to live." Her words were like bombs in Asmodeus’s ears; she was being sentimental. Next, she revealed Nerim’s pregnancy. It stunned Asmodeus to hear he’d have yet another child.
’Another one, will it be a cute girl like Nerim...’
Asmodeus curled his lips and nodded. "This is the best way, Mei, can’t you link to Nerim and keep her safe using that link you’ve made. I’m sure that since we just connected, you can do it for me, right?"
Mei glared at him, her lips twisted into a harsh frown, but she soon weakened and curled her lip into a defeated smile. "Fool... when you ask like that, how can I say no?"
"Come here." He waved at her with his hand.
"W-What?" Hesitant, she floated over and stood several steps away from him. Then asked him in a sweet voice. "You won’t hit me, right?"
"Of course not."
Asmodeus bent closer and covered his mouth.
"You can use my Time Domain, right?"
"!!!!!!!"
As if being caught, she floated away; she reacted like a cat whose tail was stepped on.
He didn’t push her, but continued. "If so, just nod. I won’t ask anything other than saving that power to keep Nerim safe. If you protect her and do well. I promise to reward you with anything you ask of me."
After learning of her pregnancy, his overprotective nature exploded.
Mei looked up at him, her former sensual and seductive aura all but gone. She just resembled a bubbly, active young woman. He couldn’t help but doubt if this was the true woman who lived centuries ago, enduring abuse and suffering.
"Do you promise?"
Her eyes appeared different.
A solemn, almost hallowed aura filled them.
"I do."
"Then, I’ll go... goodbye, Asmodeus."
"Eh?"
Before he could speak, she’d already leapt inside of Nerim’s body, vanishing from sight. He appeared more confident knowing Nerim wouldn’t be in danger.
Nevertheless, Mei’s transient smile and goodbye lingered on his mind.
