Chapter 376: Chapter 376: Blood Clan Rumors

"Don’t be nervous, Mr. Abraham isn’t here,"

Lusfan observed Roger with eyes glowing red.

"We played a harmless little joke on this lovely lady to see you; you wouldn’t mind, would you?"

Lusfan spoke languidly, but Roger furrowed his brow, honestly quite disgusted by Lusfan’s seemingly courteous demeanor.

"Hehe."

William rubbed his broad palms together, "I quite like this lady."

Roger tilted his head slightly, his gaze lingering on the other’s neck for a moment.

A faint prickle of pain came, and William’s brow furrowed, "Kid, you’d better behave..."

"Mr. Roger, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind inviting us in to talk,"

Lusfan interjected.

"Follow me."

Truth be told, Roger was also curious about their attitude; given Abraham’s hatred for him, if he knew his exact location, he would have arrived at the earliest opportunity.

Lusfan scowled fiercely at William, who nonchalantly diverted his gaze.

The two were left behind as they stepped into the manor’s gates, Lusfan casting a disgusted look at the newly risen morning sun.

He untied the cord around his neck, and the black cape slowly slipped off, eerily burrowing into the soil and disappearing in an instant.

Meanwhile, in a place invisible to the onlookers, an unseen barrier rose up, isolating this area.

Opening the door, Roger led the two into the manor’s grand hall, with its refined design and the hall’s artistic atmosphere earning Lusfan’s endless praise.

Roger gave Goway a look, and she nodded in response, leaving the hall and heading upstairs.

"Where is she going?" blurted William.

"Don’t we need someone to provide us with drinks when welcoming guests?"

His gaze swept over Goway with a hint of aggression, the girl’s complexion paling slightly, and William’s malice made her quite uncomfortable.

"Do you want to die?"

Roger suddenly said, his eyes bursting with undeniable murderous intent, firmly locking onto William.

"What did you say?!"

William smashed the table before him with a punch, his muscles bulging, and something eerie seemed to be writhing beneath his skin.

"Keep your dog in line, don’t let him bark,"

Roger stood his ground, their odd demeanor making him vaguely guess something, but more importantly, William’s behavior amounted to a direct insult to Goway.

He was willing to sit down and talk with these two fellows from the Three Holy Spirits, not because he planned to let them off, but because he wanted more information about Abraham from them.

Only someone who had truly faced Abraham knew how mad and powerful he was, and Roger would certainly not take Abraham lightly because of a temporary advantage.

The last time had been an opportunity that came once in a thousand years.

"I’ll kill you!" William roared in anger, lunging forward, but Roger stepped back half a step and lightly touched the Cursed Sword!

Being from the Third Tier, there was still a huge gap between them; in a one-on-one fight, Roger was confident he could kill this William.

"Enough!"

Lusfan’s pale hand suddenly transformed, pressing down hard on William’s shoulder.

He stared into William’s eyes, "Don’t forget why we’re here!"

The strength in Lusfan’s left hand was astonishing; even with William’s physique, he couldn’t break free in that instant.

"This aura..." Roger’s eyes flickered. For a moment, he thought he caught a very familiar aura from Lusfan.

William gasped for breath, but under Lusfan’s relentless gaze, he eventually calmed down, his eyes fixed on Roger, the killing intent nearly spewing forth.

"We all need to cool down, don’t we?"

The stubborn elegance disappeared from Lusfan’s face, his hand returning to normal as he stepped forward to stand between Roger and William.

"We can make a deal,"

"You leave this place, and we’ll act as if we’ve never seen you, but as compensation, I want to take something from you."

"What thing?"

Hiss!

Lusfan’s right hand became sharp like a dagger and sliced open a long, narrow wound on his left arm.

Strangely, not a drop of blood seeped from the wound. Underneath the cloak of dark red muscles, a piece of bone shone like jade, radiating a faint light.

"I need the lower half of this bone. You have it with you, right?"

Without the covering of muscles, the aura contained in the bone was completely exposed, and Roger knew this was the other segment of Anna’s left arm.

"This item is not precious, I obtained it by chance, and trading it for my safety is well worth it."

Roger looked at the half-piece of bone on Lusfan’s body. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

"Can you tell me what this is?"

Lusfan smiled, "This thing isn’t very useful to you, nor is it a secret."

"It’s part of a High Tier Vampire!"

"It even contains a strange vitality that makes one wonder whether the life force within this bone will grow stronger over time, perhaps even completely reviving one day."

"In the world of the Blood Clan, there’s a rumor that only a being of higher rank can kill a high-ranking vampire. Otherwise, even if you pulverize their bones and scatter their ashes, when the dark energy surges, they will come back to life."

"So, the bones of High Tier Vampires are, in a sense, even rarer than those of dragons."

"Death doesn’t leave their bones dry; only sealing them does."

"For High Tier Vampires, death is a release, while sealing is eternal torment."

"I’ve searched for many years in Bordeaux and couldn’t find the other half of this bone. Just hand it over to me, and you are free!"

Lusfan said with sincere expression.

Hearing his words, Roger seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. Although he quickly covered up this slight movement, it was still caught by Lusfan across from him.

"Is that all?" Roger asked.

"That’s all," Lusfan nodded.

"No, you must have another purpose," Roger suddenly shook his head.

"I took Abraham’s..." Realizing he had inadvertently said something, Roger’s face turned grim.

In the delighted gaze of Lusfan, he continued, "I took his stuff, and he won’t let me go. Rather than that, I might as well go for broke, and neither of us will get anything!"

Roger looked fierce.

"Don’t be rash, my friend."

Lusfan’s face was filled with smiles.

"Please believe me, we have no conflict between us, and in some ways, Abraham is our common enemy."

"Oh?" Roger raised an eyebrow, "You think I would believe you?"

"Pierce!"

Suddenly, Lusfan tore open his clothes, revealing a tumor-like object in the center of his chest, pulsating like a heart.

"This is what he implanted in our bodies, we may appear to be the founders of the Three Holy Spirits, but in reality, we are just his domesticated pets!"

"Years of enslavement made me itch to kill him, but because of this thing, we couldn’t resist, so you don’t need to worry."

Lusfan suppressed the greed in his eyes.

"Whatever you got from him, I don’t want to know."

"Hand over the other half of the bone to me, and you can leave."

Lusfan appeared genuinely earnest.
