Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Invested

Isaac withdrew his hand from the bedside drawer, looking down at the woman beneath him, her eyes seductive and clearly dazed by his kisses. "We’re out of supplies at home."

He tentatively suggested, "Would you consider taking a pill?"

Natalie’s response was to immediately push him away, wrapping herself in the blanket and rolling to the side.

Isaac cursed under his breath, frustratedly raking his short hair, and grabbed his phone, jabbing at the screen.

Natalie poked her head out from the blanket, asking, "What are you doing?"

"Ordering delivery," he gritted his teeth.

Realizing he was ordering condoms, Natalie’s face turned a bit red.

"Could you get me some prune juice?"

Isaac laughed, truly exasperated.

Ordering room service in the middle of this.

Tossing the phone aside, he reached over, pulling the bundled-up cocoon of a woman, complete with the blanket, towards him, and then extracted the woman inside like unwrapping a present.

"What do I drink if you’re having prune juice?"

Natalie, steaming with embarrassment, slapped at him, "There’s nothing drinkable here..."

"Oh, there is. I think there is," Isaac gave a wicked grin, lifting his head as if genuinely curious, asking her, "So how do we get it?"

"You need a baby first..." Natalie burst into tears, overwhelmed with both pain and shame, yet answered his question honestly.

This was truly maddening.

Isaac stifled his laughter, his eyes softening just a touch.

Later, when he finally received the delivery call, Isaac instructed them to leave the items at the elevator entrance, but the other party insisted on asking for his room number.

"I said leave it at the elevator entrance!"

"Young man, are you in 1208 or 1209?"

With a "bang," Isaac swung open the door, growling, "Here!"

The delivery lady quickly jogged over with the bag, handing it to him with a smile, "Oh, it’s room 1210."

Isaac: "..."

"Good safety awareness, young man, being responsible for the young lady!" the lady praised.

Her gaze inadvertently swept downward, understanding the situation, she hurriedly said, "Alright, alright! Off you go! Off you go!"

As she spoke, she even gave him a little push.

Isaac was nudged back into the house, and the lady kindly closed the door for him.

In the hallway, he leaned against the doorframe, breathing in and out, taking several seconds to come to terms with the ridiculous encounter, before stepping back into the bedroom.

Only to find that in the short time it took to grab the delivery, Natalie had fallen asleep.

——

Natalie was ambushed in the middle of the night.

As if avenging her for falling asleep earlier, Isaac went all out, unrestrained.

The consequence of excessive indulgence was Natalie gloriously missing her 8 AM class the next day.

And that class was taught by the Abbess of Extinction.

She got marked as absent, putting her scholarship for the next semester at risk.

At this moment, she received a message from Isaac.

He was wearing nothing but boxer briefs, standing sideways in front of the bathroom mirror, photographing the scratch marks on his back—Natalie’s "masterpiece" from his intense urgency the night before.

He specifically "complained":

She didn’t reply. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

He then sent a series of shameless, confident displays:

In a fit of anger, Natalie was infuriated.

Before receiving any nude photos, she blocked him.

The world finally became quiet.

After class, while packing up, Natalie overheard a group of classmates discussing plans to hit the bar in the evening.

"My cousin is hosting, all rich second-generation kids. Snag a boyfriend, and getting Chanel, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels would be as easy as pie. Most importantly—Isaac will be there."

"Isaac?! Really?"

"Of course, it’s true." Nina proudly crossed her arms, scanning the eager faces of her peers: "Well, are you going?"

"Going! Of course we’re going!"

The response was unanimous.

After all, Second Young Master Vaughn had a notorious reputation.

"Um..."

At this moment, a gentle voice spoke up.

Nina turned to see Natalie standing behind her, momentarily surprised, "Wh-What’s up?"

"Can I come along with you guys?"

The girls exchanged glances, visibly taken aback.

"Uh, class rep, we’re going to a bar, not a library, are you sure?"

Natalie nodded, "Sure."

Her expression was incredibly sincere.

Nina awkwardly cleared her throat but didn’t refuse, "Alright, you can come with us then."

——

Night falls.

At the bar.

The deafening music nearly lifted the roof, young men and women in the dance floor pressing against each other, moving their bodies with reckless abandon, indulging in the revelry.

Just as Natalie entered the bar with them, she received a call from her teacher.

She told Nina she was stepping out to take the call, Nina gave her the private room number and said if she couldn’t find it, to call, and she’d come to get her.

Inside the private room.

Franklin asked Isaac, "What’s going on with you and Quinn? I thought you guys sorted things out?"

Isaac squinted lazily, "Doesn’t interest me, going home to sleep sounds better, I’m leaving."

From the other side, Scott saw Isaac getting ready to leave, a cold smirk on his lips as he raised his voice on purpose, "Do you guys know Natalie?"

"Of course, Seaharbor University’s campus queen!"

"I don’t know about anything else, but I do know this," the man speaking made a gesture with his hands in front of his chest, "what a display!"

"Hahaha!"

"Isn’t she a seller? She goes to Zenithar every month, right?"

"Seriously? Is she really selling?"

The color on Isaac’s face darkened, and he sat back down.

Franklin was puzzled, "Weren’t you leaving?"

Isaac swirled the drink in his hand, looking up to meet Scott’s gaze, abruptly asking, "What are you staring at?"

Scott sneered, directing the question about the truthfulness to his friend, "Of course it’s true, if you don’t believe me, ask Isaac. He ran into her at Zenithar just yesterday."

Scott was deliberately trying to disgust Isaac.

Everyone turned to Isaac, seeing his face stern.

The group of girls from Natalie’s class exchanged worried looks, glancing towards the room door, silently thinking this was bad.

If only they hadn’t agreed to bring Natalie along.

With a "bang," Isaac set his glass down neither lightly nor heavily, leaning forward slightly, exuding a pressing aura as he looked at Scott, asking: "Is this fun?"

Scott was enraged but laughed, "Fun? Oh, it’s so much fun! Second Master, you’re really baffling me. Don’t you have your pick of women? Why so fixated on a...sellout?"

"Fixated?" Isaac grinned, but there was no mirth in his eyes, "Which eye of yours saw me fixated?"

"If you’re not fixated, why the hell are you fighting with me over it? What’s your problem?"

"Natalie..."

Suddenly a panicked female voice sounded.

Unbeknownst to anyone, Natalie was standing at the private room door.
