Chapter 170: Chapter 170: Little Ear, I’m Really Losing My Mind

Originally kneeling on the ground, Sarah suddenly stood up.

Natalie’s shoulder was hit hard, her body swayed, and her line of sight caught a slender figure rushing towards Isaac Vaughn.

"Young Master Vaughn! I..."

Sarah seemed to want to throw herself into Isaac Vaughn’s arms.

Natalie watched expressionlessly.

But the fact was that Sarah didn’t even get close to Isaac Vaughn before being stopped by two bodyguards in black.

She froze, her eyes showing a brief moment of confusion as she looked at Isaac Vaughn.

The next second, her reddened eyes could no longer hold back the flood of hot tears that streamed down, looking pitiful and delicate, evoking sympathy.

"Young Master Vaughn, I, I just... Young Master Vaughn, you promised me that I could follow you... You can’t go back on your word..."

Isaac Vaughn kept his expression restrained, saying nothing.

Sarah gritted her teeth, "Young Master Vaughn, if you insist on going back on your word, then I have no choice but to die..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Natalie couldn’t bear it any longer, turning around to leave.

"Little Ear!"

Isaac Vaughn suddenly panicked.

He hurriedly moved towards Natalie with his still-unhealed body, "Little Ear, wait, wait."

The footsteps behind were urgent.

Natalie had already reached the car; she just needed to open the door, step on the gas, and leave.

But her hand grasped the door handle, remaining motionless until a warm hand held her arm.

Isaac Vaughn panted heavily: "Don’t go. That day I begged her to help me. I agreed as a temporary measure. I will give her some money and send her abroad so that she won’t ever appear in front of you again."

After a long moment.

Natalie turned back to look at Isaac Vaughn.

Isaac’s gaze flickered, and then he collapsed onto Natalie.

Such poor acting.

He fell against Natalie, taking the opportunity to hold her tightly without letting go.

"My legs are weak. Little Ear, I haven’t recovered yet."

"You seem quite fine to me," Natalie mocked.

She saw through it.

Isaac sighed.

As he tried to get up, he suddenly realized something.

Hadn’t she pushed him away?

Curling his lips slightly, he decided to continue the act.

"I’m not fine, dizzy, and still in pain. I slept for almost four days."

"Didn’t the doctor say you were catching up on sleep?" Natalie exposed.

Hearing this, the curve of Isaac’s lips widened: "Did you hear it from my mother? Or did you inquire about my condition from the doctor yourself? Either way, it shows you’re constantly concerned about me."

He straightened up, placing her hand over his heart, his eyes shining brightly as they fixed on her.

Natalie felt his heartbeat under her palm, tried to pull her hand back, but couldn’t.

Vanessa saw Natalie supporting Isaac from afar, and immediately pulled her husband aside.

"What are you doing?" Ansel Vaughn was puzzled.

Vanessa clicked her tongue, patting his arm, "We can’t be the third wheel to our son."

Ansel chuckled, hugging her shoulders, then after a while, said, "Vanessa, there’s something I want to discuss with you."

Noticing his serious tone, Vanessa realized it must be about Jason Grant.

In the hospital room.

Natalie helped Isaac lie down, but as soon as she straightened up, he grabbed her wrist again.

Their eyes met.

He suddenly pulled her towards himself, spreading his arms around her.

She surprisingly didn’t resist but instead quietly nestled into his arms.

His heart felt both warm and full, unable to resist lowering his head to kiss the top of her hair.

"Little Ear, I’m really going crazy..."

Isaac whispered in her ear with the hearing aid, his voice hoarse and obscure.

"That day, I was so scared I wouldn’t be able to save you."

He tightened his arms around her.

Natalie closed her eyes, relaxing her body.

They held each other as if without barriers in their hearts, saying nothing yet both savoring this moment of warmth.
