Debuff Master-Chapter 922
Chapter 922
“H-Hiiiiiik?!” Ganeva the Third shrieked in horror.
He nearly fainted when he heard his name come out from the dragon’s mouth.
Why? Why was this happening?
He could swear he had not done anything to provoke a dragon in his entire life, so why were they targeting him all of a sudden?
‘Could it be...? Did they have a lair in the mana stone mine I developed recently?’
That was the only thought that crossed his mind, but even that did not seem like a valid reason. Unless the dragons were living together in that mine, which was highly unlikely, there was no way they would gather like this, especially in a variety of colors too.
“Your Majesty!”
“Your Majestyyyy!”
At that moment, all the ministers rushed in and threw themselves to the floor before Ganeva the Third.
They were still inside the palace when the attack began, so they gathered in panic rather than venture outside the palace.
“Your Majesty! Dragons have descended upon our capital and shattered our defenses!”
“As if I don’t know that already! Damn it!”
“Your Majesty! This is a national emergency! Our kingdom is on the brink of destruction! We will be annihilated at this rate!”
And they were correct...
Even a single dragon could threaten an entire kingdom, so what about a group of dragons? What could they do to a kingdom? The answer was obvious—total destruction.
With multiple dragons attacking, it would not be surprising if the entire Sacon Kingdom fell in just three days, not just the capital.
“T-This... It makes no sense! I can’t understand why the dragons are calling me!” Ganeva screamed hysterically.
However, whether he was confused or not mattered little.
“You dare make us wait?!”
“Insolent worm! How long do you plan to hide?!”
“Maybe a taste of my flames will knock some sense into you?”
The dragons had already surrounded the palace and hurled threats, demanding Ganeva the Third to show up.
“Ugh... What’s the point of waiting?! Let’s just raze this place to the ground!”
One particularly hot-tempered Red Dragon, infamous even among his kin for his temper, prepared to unleash its breath and reduce the place to nothing but ashes.
“Y-Your Majesty! You must go out and face them! Please, we beg you!” freewebnøvel.coɱ
“Please, Your Majesty!”
The ministers prostrated on the floor and pleaded desperately. They knew all too well what fate they shared if Ganeva did not go out, as the dragons were more than capable of obliterating the royal palace in the blink of an eye.
“Damn it all!” Ganeva the Third cursed.
He did not want to go outside where it was dangerous, let alone face the dragons. Their voices alone already made his knees buckle and his hands tremble, so the sheer thought of standing before them made him freeze up.
Unfortunately, he had no other choice.
Where could he possibly run to and be safe from the dragons?
Also, if he did flee, his royal palace, the capital city, and the entire kingdom would be razed to the ground.
In other words, he would be left with nothing.
“Your Majesty! Please, have mercy on us!”
“Have mercy on your people!”
The ministers were unwilling to die in vain.
Their fear made them push Ganeva the Third, urging him to step out.
‘These damn cowards! They can’t even protect their own king!’ Ganeva the Third was disgusted by their behavior. Still, he understood why they were resorting to this, as a group of dragons was demanding his presence.
‘Looks like I have no choice...’
Knowing full well that he stood no chance of escaping a group of dragons, he decided to resign himself to his fate. He had no idea why this was happening to him, but he couldn’t just sit back and die. He decided to leave the palace and stand before the dragons.
If possible, he wanted to negotiate with them, no matter how slim the chances were.

Ganeva the Third stepped outside the royal palace and faced the dragons.
“H-Hiiik!”
Waiting for him was a grand assembly of dragons that could arguably be called a Dragon Gift Set. There were Gold, Red, Blue, Black, Green, Silver, and White dragons surrounding the royal palace in a circle, all of them glaring intently at Ganeva the Third.
Overwhelmed by their imposing presence, Ganeva the Third’s body trembled uncontrollably, just like a reed being thrown around by a violent storm.
Ganeva the Third stood before the largest dragon of them all, the Gold Dragon.
Immediately, he dropped to his knees and bowed before these apex predators that sat at the top of the food chain.
“I-I am deeply honored to be in the presence of such magnificent beings!” Ganeva the Third exclaimed.
The largest of the dragons, the Gold Dragon, asked, “Are you the one they call Ganeva the Third?”
The Gold Dragon’s voice boomed, and it made Ganeva the Third shudder once again.
“Y-Yes! O Great and Mighty One! This humble servant of yours is Ganeva!”
“I am Gerog, the Dragon Lord, Ruler of All Dragons.”
“H-Hiiiik?!”
Ganeva the Third’s eyes widened in honor after hearing that the Gold Dragon towering above him was none other than the Dragon Lord.
It was then.
Shhh... Plop... Plop...!
His pants began to grow damp.
Being surrounded by dragons made his legs go weak, causing him to collapse to the ground, but the fact that the dragon towering above him was the Dragon Lord was enough to make him wet himself.
At this point, it was a miracle he did not faint on the spot.
“O-O Dragon Lord! What brings such magnificent beings to my humble kingdom...?” Gerog III asked.
He was mustering every ounce of courage to speak while barely managing to maintain his sanity.
“I heard you rejected the request from the Proatine Kingdom.”
“E-Eh?!”
“You ungrateful swine! Have you no shame or honor?!” Gerog roared.
Ganeva the Third clutched his head and screamed in agony. “Aaack!”
Gerog’s roar sent a powerful burst of shockwave that rippled in the air and nearly burst Ganeva the Third’s eardrums.
“Even though King Siegfried van Proa once saved your life, you refused his simple request to open the warp gate frequency?!”
“H-How do you know about that?!”
“You fool! Such vile behavior, and yet you call yourself a human?!”
“C-Could it be... King Sieg—I mean, His Majesty King Siegfried van Proa sent you here...?”
“Indeed!”
“Gasp!”
“I couldn’t sit idly by and just watch your wickedness!” Gerog roared.
It was then.
“If the warp gate frequencies aren’t released within five minutes, I’ll wipe your capital city off the map.”
Siegfried’s warning flashed in Ganeva the Third’s mind.
He thought the upstart king was just bluffing, but now it was clear that Siegfried had the backing to make such a threat.
But who would have known that his backing was not Emperor Stuttgart, but rather, the Dragon Lord and Ruler of All Dragons, the Golden Dragon, Gerog?
“Y-Your Majesty!”
Just then, another messenger came running to report an urgent message.
“T-The 8th Corps of the Marchioni Empire has breached our border and invaded our territory!”
It seemed that Irene couldn’t wait any longer and invaded the Sacon Kingdom.
However, Ganeva the Third couldn’t care less about Irene and the 8th Corps right now.
“You fool! Can’t you see the situation?! Do you really think that’s what’s important right now that you would babble about it?! Get lost at once!” he screamed at the messenger before turning to Gerog.
Then, he knelt and pleaded, “O Great and Mighty One! I was wrong! I will grant all of the Proatine Kingdom’s requests immediately!”
“Too late.”
“Pardon me...?”
“We, the dragons, have already granted King Siegfried’s requests.”
“What...?!”
“Did you really think the magic of insignificant creatures like you could stop us dragons?”
The moment Gerog received Siegfried’s message, he immediately warped the Proatine Forces to Elondel. After that, he gathered the dragons and flew to Sacon Kingdom in order to teach Ganeva the Third a lesson.
In other words, it was all over for Ganeva, as the water had already been spilled.
“Hand over your king, humans. If you don’t, I will destroy not only your puny palace but the entire city, too. Test me and I will wipe your kingdom off the face of the map too,” Gerog addressed the nobles and officials.
Of course, Gerog and the dragons could have easily seized Ganeva the Third by force. However, they chose not to because they were certain the humans would willingly offer him up to them.
“P-Please forgive us, Your Majesty!”
“S-Sire! Please forgive me!”
Before Gerog even started threatening them properly, the officials of the Sacon Kingdom fell to their knees and pressured Ganeva the Third into sacrificing himself.
“H-Hey! You traitorous dogs! How dare you sell out your king?!” Ganeva the Third shouted in disbelief at their betrayal.
Unfortunately, his anger just fell on deaf ears.
“W-We swear to protect the kingdom and the royal family, Your Majesty! So please, rest in peace!”
“We will never forget your noble sacrifice, sire!”
“Rest in peace, sire!”
The nobles and officials had already made up their minds to offer Ganeva the Third to the dragons. They were not about to let the entire kingdom get razed to the ground just to save one person, regardless of whether he was the king or not.
After all, sacrificing one to save many was all for the greater good.
“What are you waiting for?! Escort His Majesty at once!”
“Yes, sir!”
The knights immediately sprung to action and escorted Ganeva the Third to the dragons.
“Hey, you sons of bitches! How dare you sell me to those lizards?! Do you still call yourselves my loyal subjects?!” Ganeva the Third cursed at them.
Unfortunately, nobody was listening to him anymore.
No one was willing to risk the entire kingdom just to save him, and they justified it by thinking that this was all for the greater good.
“We will not forget Your Majesty’s noble sacrifice!”
“We are eternally grateful, sire!”
“We are eternally grateful, sire!”
“We are eternally grateful, sire!”
The nobles and ministers completely ignored his screams. Instead, they bowed low to the ground and repeatedly expressed their gratitude like a bunch of parrots.
Why?
It was all because they were trying to drown out Ganeva the Third’s desperate screams.

Meanwhile, Siegfried and the Proatine Kingdom’s army were successfully warped to the Eternal Forest, and it was all thanks to Dragon Lord Gerog's help.
“Please...”
With a racing heart, Siegfried led the army into the Eternal Forest.
He had no idea what happened to Lohengrin, Brunhilde, and his beloved daughter, Verdandi, so it was not an exaggeration to say that he was about to go crazy from worrying about them.
The fact that he asked for help from the dragons was proof of his desperation..
Dragons usually refrained from meddling in human affairs, as the mission they received from the Creator was to protect the world from external threats and to not get involved in the petty matters of the creations.
However, the dragons couldn’t refuse Siegfried’s desperate plea for help, as they considered him one of their own now. Moreover, there was evidence that demons were involved in this conflict, so they were quick to step up and help him.
After all, the primary duty of the dragons was to protect the world from external threats, and it included demons.
‘I’m going to make sure those dark elves become extinct,’ Siegfried growled inwardly.
Meanwhile, Baroque and Chae Hyung-Seok prepared for battle after being made aware that Siegfried was leading the Proatine Forces into the Eternal Forest.
“Hyungseokius,” Baroque called out.
“Yes, my lord.”
“You’re confident this time, right?”
“Certainly, my lord. Kekeke!” Chae Hyung-Seok replied with confidence while laughing hysterically.
The demon army was powerful.
Thanks to Baroque entering into a contract with Credos, who was a Master, the demons could wield nearly their full power even after crossing over to this world.
In other words, they could toy with human soldiers as if they were mere children.
And if Chae Hyung-Seok’s buff was added to the mix...
“Today will be your funeral, Han Tae-Sung. Kwahaha!”
Backed by the demons, Chae Hyung-Seok completely forgot his past defeats and the trauma he suffered at Siegfried’s hands.
Instead, he was now thrilled at the thought of using the overwhelming power he had obtained to crush Siegfried.
“Hyungseokius,” Baroque called once more.
“Yes, my lord,” Chae Hyung-Seok responded promptly.
“Lead my army and annihilate your mortal enemy along with his flimsy army,” Baroque commanded. Then, he said, “I will aid Credos in capturing that wretched wife and daughter of his first.”
Capturing Lohengrin, Brunhilde, and Verdandi was Baroque’s main priority. The reason was that the contract with Credos specifically required him to destroy Lohengrin and his family.
“I must complete this contract as soon as possible. Mwahaha...! Yes, that’s what’s important right now,” Baroque muttered with a grin.
He was eager to fulfill the contract as quickly as possible and seize Credos’ body.
Once he managed to do so, he could use more of his powers, allowing him to easily dominate the battle even if the situation became unfavorable for them.
“See you later, Hyugnseokius.”
“Yes, my lord!”
With that, Baroque and Chae Hyung-Seok moved to achieve their respective goals.
