Chapter 229: Chapter 229

Now, Aaron got the quest, but there was an issue, and it was not completing the quest, but rather how to complete it.

He can easily clear the quest; there was no question about that, but the problem was that undead dungeons were very rare and not that popular.

This was because the death rate in an undead dungeon compared to other dungeons is very high. Also, most of the loot that one obtains from an undead dungeon is not as useful as items from other dungeons.

The useful things from the loot can be used only by someone of Death professional. So, there was not much demand for them. Even the academy, which was made famous for Dark and Death professionals, doesn’t have many undead dungeons.

For an awakener, it matters not which dungeon he enters, as Experience Dungeons would give you EXP for killing the monsters, regardless of what profession you are from. The amount may vary, but that was if the one who enters belongs to the crafting classes or their levels are higher than the monster killed.

Otherwise, the amount of EXP gained was the same, no matter the class, no matter the type of monster killed.

Since Dungeons with Undead monster-filled dungeons are where most deaths happen, or give waste loot, most ignore these dungeons, even if they find a higher-ranking dungeon which can boost their levels faster.

So, there were only a few present in the academy. Five to be exact. One was an F-rank dungeon. It was placed there so that students would know that undead monsters exist. Except for that, that dungeon is of no use.

Out of the other four, three are A or S-rank dungeons. For the last one, Aaron couldn’t find what it was. It was restricted, and Aaron had no access to its information. So, he believed that it should be a higher-ranked dungeon, which was the most likely scenario.

Aaron is still a student, a second-year student at that. No one would have thought that he was already at the brink of reaching Rank-4.

How the system works is that as you increase rank, the information that you can access increases. This is the normal route that most take.

If you want the fastest route, then you have to be a talented genius, and also have to show your genius without worrying about anything. When a genius appears, someone from the academy would take an interest in yoy and would take you as a disciple.

As a part of the master-disciple training, you can get access to a lot of information that you can’t usually access.

There is even a faster route, being born as a child of one of the top alliance members. You can easily get information from your parents without showing your talents or waiting for a long time to get access to information.

Except for these three, there are other ways to get hold of information, but they are most likely considered illegal.

---

Aaron finally decided on an A-rank dungeon to enter for the quest. There were two A-rank dungeons, and he chose a Lich Dungeon.

This dungeon doesn’t have lich monsters. No, it was filled by undead monsters, but they are more intelligent than usual undead monsters. The boss is a Lich Mage.

On the fifth day after the announcement of deployment, Aaron entered the dungeon for his quest, as he had spent most of the fourth day looking for the undead dungeons and what kind of monsters were present in those dungeons.

Even though Aaron was strong, he was not stupid enough to enter a dungeon without having information regarding the dungeon that he was going to enter.

Aaron entered the dungeon early in the morning, unlike how he had started to enter in the past few days. He even brought lunch with him for the stay in the dungeon to complete his quest.

An A-grade dungeon usually means that it is a dungeon made of Rank-5 monsters, but that doesn’t mean all the monsters inside are Rank-5.

Rank-4 starts at level 450 and ends at level 1000.

If he takes on monsters at level 1000 or above at this point, even with his improved attributes and skills, he may not survive the dungeon. Aaron is not that stupid.

He already checked about the dungeon. It was a semi-A-rank dungeon, like many dungeons.

The only Rank-5 monster is the Boss, Lich Mage. The other monsters are in Rank-4, but their levels are not 450. Every monster present was level above level 450.

This was the first time he was challenging monsters that were hundreds of levels higher than him. He never did that before, even though he could have done that, fearing that it might attract unwanted attention.

At the moment, everyone’s attention was on improving themselves or what dangers there were on the outside. No one has time to pay any attention to him.

---

Aaron knew that he entered a dungeon where for the first time after a year, he felt fear of dying. It was just like when he first awakened. Though he had skeletons at the time, a group of goblins could have ended him easily.

Even at this point, even with more than 10k of undead army, the monsters here are more powerful than the skeltons. If they all come at him, the undead may not save him.

So, Aaron cleared the monsters one by one, but a day was not enough to complete the dungeon. He stayed in for two days, before he was able to kill the boss and complete the dungeon.

Once Aaron reached Rank-4, he got new notifications from the system. The reward for reaching Rare Grade, was finally released.

--

[Congratualtions, you have completed Rank-4 Quest.]

[You are now a Rank-4 Death Mage.]

[Detected that the Awakener is now at Rank-4]

[Reward is being distributed.]

[Class Upgradation in progress...]

[Class upgraded from Death Mage, S-Rank to Death Mage, SS-Rank.]

--

When he saw the notifications, Aaron was surprised to see the reward.

To be sure that the system was not pranking him, he checked his status. There was no record of system pranking anyone like this, but there is always the first time for everything.
