Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent-Chapter 216
Chapter 216: Chapter 216
"Hmm, the seem to drunk and are busy fucking and fighting each other", Aaron relayed what was happening in the bandit base to the girls.
Unlike him, their perception was very low and they couldn’t sense things far away from them. So, Aaron relayed everything that was happening to them.
"With them drunk and busy with...other activities, I think this is the best time to attack them", Diana spoke, with a bit of redness on her cheeks, as she thought about the fucking that the bandits were doing.
She doesn’t want to see those bandits fucking each other, but this is the perfect time to take them out, when they were distracted. Chances such as this would be rare. If they miss out on this chance, another may not present itself for a while, not before their deadline.
So, Diana, though uncomfortable with what she would see, proposed to take those bandits down using this chance.
Aaron and Erika agreed with her decision.
"You are right. They are celebrating regarding the wealth they just amassed by selling the villagers. They still have no idea about what happened to those villagers, nor to the slavers that they sold to. It won’t remain so for a long time".
"Wherever the slavers are taking them, there should be someone expecting those slaves and the slavers. Since their business is illegal, they can accept certain delays, but if the delays cross a certain point, they would become suspicious and would definitely contact the bandits".
"When that happens, the bandits would be alerted. They would check the route that those slavers took. Though we erased the battle as much as we could, there is a chance that they might still perceive what happened there. They would certainly disappear into the mountains, which we can’t let happen. None from this group of bandits should see tomorrow", Aaron declared.
The girls nodded, "We can’t let them escape. The only problem was their leader, who was not present for their festivities".
"Don’t worry about him. Leave him to me. When he shows up, he would be dead, just as others", Aaron confirmed, "Now, let’s end the era of the Red Mountain bandits".
---
In less than half an hour, the base was cleared. None survived, not even the bandit leader.
Aaron has too many undead in his possession, which easily cleared most of the bandits, while the trio had to only take charge while fighting a few stronger ones, who used a variety of skills that broke through the undead charge.
Even though a few broke through, they didn’t at the same time, which made it easy for the three to get rid of everyone.
The only nuisance was the leader, who had reached Rank-3, not Rank-2 as the intelligence claimed. He has reached Rank-3, possibly with the help of the slavers.
He should have used all the wealth the bandits claimed to improve himself, which was a sure way of keeping other bandits in line, as they wouldn’t dare to fight him, leaving him as the leader of the group forever.
Though the bandit leader was a Rank-3, so was Aaron.
The bandit leader easily defeated the undead, as he was a Barbarian, which was a physical professional who could easily stomp away enemies as long as they were in physical contact.
Aaron, who has higher physical attributes, made use of them for the first time. In every fight, he either used his undead or magic skills to get rid of his enemies, but he wanted to check how he would fare against a Rank-3 Barbarian, but was disappointed.
Even though he held back a lot, the bandit leader was done for within two moves.
Erika and Diana were surprised by his strength. They knew he was powerful, but that was as a mage, not a warrior.
"Monster", they labelled him in their minds.
Once the bandits were dealt with, the trio collected their spoils. Most of the resources were stored in the treasury room, while the bandits only carried some health potions and weapons useful to fight or save themselves.
Only Vice-leaders have some wealth, while the leader has the most resources.
The trio didn’t leave even a broken sword and collected everything that they could collect.
It was the idea of Aaron.
He said, "Sure, they might be broken or too lame for us, as the weapons may not give any boost to us, but the metal can be reforged into useful weapons or other items. We can dump them with the village before we leave".
"They can use those to create something like bowls or something, which can improve their economy. If the blades were not broken, it would be like increasing the village arsenal, which means they can protect themselves better".
Though this is a tiresome work, the girls agreed with Aaron. There was no need to waste the materials that could be salvaged. They can dump everything that they can collect, and the villagers can decide what they can use and what they can throw away.
It took a while, but they stripped the bandits of every resource that could be used, even items like shoes and belts, which would go to the village for sure. They can burn those or make use of them after cleaning.
Coming to other things like shirts or pants, even Aaron was not interested in taking them. Once the looting was done, the trio piled all the corpses in one place.
Aaron collected the Bandit leader’s head and stored it in a box. This was proof for the village head to show that the bandits were done. The resource dump that they were going to throw in the village would be more than proof enough, but the head of the leader would talk more words than a hundred underlings.
They burned the corpses before setting off from the place.
Too many corpses here would attract monsters, which would not be good for the villages nearby, as the monsters would surely pass through those villages. Even if the villages were bypassed when the monsters arrived, as they wouldn’t be more interested in the free food, they would turn to the villages once these corpses were done.
It can lead to a small-scale monster tide.
So, it was said not to leave any corpses after dealing with those illegal elements in the wild. It would only attract monsters, causing monster tides, which would be dangerous to the nearby settlements.
It was also one of the reasons why they collected the corpses of those slavers when they left, not just to cover up the deaths of the slavers before they could act.
The burning duty of those corpses was given to the villagers, and in exchange, whatever resources they could strip from the dead belonged to the villagers, except for some dangerous items or any knowledge that was stored with them would be given to the City authorities, who were dispatched and would reach them.
It would be the same with the resources that the trio collected, but they have yet to check what they collected.
"Let’s go back to the village. We can have the Old Chief sign the completion of the mission, and can check the resources we got back to the village", Aaron spoke, and the girls nodded.
