Aaron returned to his house, freshened up a little bit before cooking himself a sumptuous meal for the night.

He was happy that he was now part of the five-member team, and not just that. He is the leader of the team, which means a lot of resources would be available for him. Of course, that also increases the responsibilities and burdens that he has to bear for the academy.

In the long run, they don’t matter.

The three who made it to the team returned to the grounds, where the matches took place in the past two days. When they arrived, there were three people present on the grounds.

One is the vice-headmistress, while the other two are students, first-year students. One of them is a boy, while the other is a girl. The three recognized them immediatelyt as the ones that were fighting each other while they waited for the vice-headmistress to check up on Viren.

Seeing that the other three are here, vice-headmistress, Lyanna spoke, "There you are. These two here are your teammates".

Aaron and the other two didn’t understand what the vice-headmistress was saying.

"Ah, you might be wondering why there are two new mates instead of one", Lynanna spoke as she took a glance at Aaron for a second, before turning away.

The three nodded.

"Viren would not be part of the team. The healers said that it would take a week to two weeks before he would be ready to train. There was less than a month before the tournament, and a week would be wasted on the travel".

"It means you have only three weeks, even less, as two days of those three weeks have already gone. It means nineteen days before we leave for the tournament, and these few days of training are important".

"If he is not available for more than half of the days, that won’t do. So, a new member would take his place in the team. The final two of the loser set would join the five-member team. The winner of the loser set would be fourth, while the other would be the fifth member", Lynanna said, and they understood why there are two new faces in the team, but they didn’t care about it.

Erika and Bronn were not friends with Viren. They knew each other, that’s all. So, they didn’t care that Viren was replaced by someone else.

Aaron, on the other hand, was a bit happy. He was wondering a bit about how to deal with Viren. They would be teammates after all, and that means they have to get along with each other, but he was sure that wouldn’t happen, and as their leader, that responsibility would fall on him, rather than on Viren.

Now with Viren gone from the team, he didn’t need to think about that at all. This made him happy, but he made sure that his face remained neutral.

It would be bad if he smiles about the matter. After all, he is the reason why Viren is no longer part of the team and wouldn’t be able to participate in the tournament.

He knew that the academy was not blind and should already be well aware of the feud with Viren, because Viren sent Harry and his goons to cause trouble for him. It happened in front of the resource center, and they should have found out the culprit in minutes, but since things didn’t escalate, they did nothing about it.

Now, though, it was a different matter.

The attack that Viren primed was a dangerous move that could kill Aaron if he made a mistake. Such moves are prohibited from competitions, but Viren, thinking that his family could protect him from the backlash, did what he wanted to, but it ended up costing him his spot due to Aaron’s ghost interference.

If he shows any smile, then the staff would think that he did that on purpose. Though that may not cost anything now, but would create a negative mark about him in their minds, and if he makes any mistake in the future, then they could make use of the situation to punish him severely than necessary.

Though Aaron was not someone who would commit something bad, one can’t say when one would make mistakes. So, in his mind, it’s better to be careful.

"Okay, first, I would tell you what you should be doing for the next nineteen days. After that, I will take you to the Student Resource Center, where you will get some resources that can help you propel forward faster", Lyanna said, and she started to lay out the plans of their training for the next nineteen days, starting the same day itself.

Student Resource Center...

After giving them instructions about the preparation, Lyanna took the five to the student resource center for them to select the resources that they wanted from the items available to them.

"Here’s the list of items available for you. The quantity and quality of items that you can take depend on your position on the team. If you like an item, select it on the pad, then it will refresh and show whether you can take another item or not, and if you can, what items can be taken", Lyanna said as she gave pads to the five, which show what items they can select.

The tournament has yet to take place to get the rewards for their hard work. So, for now, resources are poured into them so that they can earn those rewards later on.

It means that both the quantity and quality of resources available are limited.

Once they got the pads, everyone started to browse through the items available to see what was available to them and select the best out of the available items for them.

That was the main point of letting the students choose.

If the academy gives them resources that are not useful to the students, that would be counterproductive. So, they let the students choose items on their own.

Aaron, like the other four, was browsing through the items available to him when his eyes landed on one of the items, which made him bulge his eyes.

"It can’t be", he couldn’t help but mutter to himself.
