And so, here they are, Rean and Roan, killing each other. Well, saying that they are really killing each other isn’t completely right. That’s because there is still a tiny bit of themselves alive inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. It’s just that Sister Orb completely isolated those tiny parts from the twins outside.
In that way, Rean and Roan can ’kill’ each other, and make their souls become dead souls. As they destroyed their bodies and a big part of their souls, what remained was the stench of death. Soon, they felt it... Actually, they didn’t.
Dead Souls lose the capability to think. It is also because of that that high-level experts brand their souls, exactly because once dead, they are left in the open for anyone and anything do whatever they want with their dead souls.
This process wasn’t easy, though. Rean and Roan both have a Peak Stage Celestial Bodies. To reach a point where their souls truly became dead souls, they had to wipe out every single cell from each other. And even so, it wasn’t guaranteed that it would work. That high cultivation got in the way during this process. Fortunately, it did work.
The pulling force of the Underworld immediately acted on the twins’ souls, and they were brought straight there.
All dead souls travel to the Reincarnation Path, no exception. And in fact, the twins didn’t get there straight away. The reason they traveled very close to the center of the Divine Realm became apparent now. If they had killed each other somewhere far away from the center, it would take literally millions or billions of years until their souls were pulled all the way to the Reincarnation Path, maybe more. Chances were their souls would suffer some accident on the way there, as there were plenty of races who also used dead souls for cultivation, not only Soul Devils.
When they arrived in the underworld, their souls took around three years to get to the reincarnation path, which was pretty fast if you think about it. Together with countless others who kept flowing along the path, they entered the gigantic white pillar of light, appearing inside a moment later.
The normal process tried to start and pull them into the River of Forgetfulness. However, another kind of force took over, a black power gathered around them, and their souls disappeared in the next instant, just like everyone else’s.
Inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm...
[Wow... so fast!] Sister Orb commented, able to feel the twins’ souls moving through the great void. They already left A1 completely.
"It has to be connected to the Abyssal Paths, right?" Kentucky asked, also able to feel everything.
"Only the Abyssal Paths should be able to transfer them that fast. They should arrive back in the Werdlem Universe in a few hours at most," Celis commented. "Still, I thought the Abyssal Paths were supposed to be extremely dangerous without the Great Void Shifter Formations. How come all these souls aren’t being destroyed inside?"
[Hum... from what I can feel, the souls are pretty safe, no dangerous forces around at all. Ah! Right! Isn’t that obvious?!]
Everyone looked at Sister Orb. "What is obvious?"
[The Werdlem Empire has living Abyssal Beasts! As long as the Abyssal Beasts are the ones managing the Abyssal Paths, they should be able to keep those passing through them safe.]
"Hum?" Hick got confused. "But then why isn’t the same thing done with the Abyssal Paths that need Great Void Shifter Formations? Was there a need for Great Void Shifters at all? Just have the Abyssal Beasts keep those Abyssal Paths safe, too."
"Hmph! That’s even more obvious!" Soltrex took over. "Different from dead souls, which you don’t need to worry about rebelling or doing anything at all, the living experts could use the Abyssal Paths to illegally immigrate to better Universes. Simply put, the Werdlem Empire is using Abyssal Paths in two distinct ways. Abyssal paths for dead souls, and Abyssal Paths for all the other types of journeys."
[Exactly,] Sister Orb agreed. [The Abyssal paths used by the dead souls are kept safe by the Abyssal Beasts, and the rest continues to be dangerous and requires the Great Void Shifter Formations. It is actually an amazing way of managing both uses if you ask me. Or perhaps they also don’t have enough Abyssal Beasts to manage both sides. Who knows?] 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"The Werdlem Empire has been around for a very, very long time, after all," Nyxara mentioned. "They truly perfected their system pretty well."
"Are they okay in that state?" Hick asked once more.

Naturally, those two souls were from Rean and Roan, who didn’t move at all, only allowing the pulling force inside to bring them away.
Now, back in the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, Kentucky, Celis and Sister Orb are watching everything. "So they do have more guys inside too..."
Indeed. Rean and Roan’s souls couldn’t perceive it, but Sister Orb and the others could. There were also Divine Senses spread in this place, living Divine Senses! The insides of the Reincarnation Path were also being watched carefully.
