Chapter 48: Everyone, Stop What You’re Doing

"Game over!"

Krillin watched Cell getting close to Android 18 and thought in despair.

When he saw Goku step forward, he was overjoyed — Goku was still the same Goku, just as kind-hearted as ever.

But that damned Vegeta actually got in the way, and now the two of them were still fighting furiously in midair.

"You bastard, I won’t let you succeed!"

Android 16 slowly got up and started fighting Cell again.

But with his strength, he was no match for Cell at all.

Within moments, he was defeated.

"Stop resisting, 16."

"I’m not interested in you. But if you’re so eager to die..."

"I can grant your wish first."

Cell looked expressionlessly at 16.

Android 16 was even stronger than 17 and 18 individually.

If Cell could absorb him, his power would grow immensely.

Unfortunately, 16 was a full mechanical android and couldn’t be absorbed.

"Damn you, you disgusting freak, get out of my way!"

Seeing 16 fall again, Android 18 instantly flashed over and launched a furious barrage of punches and kicks at Cell.

But her attacks were like tickles to Cell — completely ineffective.

Bang!

Cell kicked 18 hard in the stomach, sending her flying and crashing heavily into a boulder.

"Just accept your fate, 18."

"You were created to become my nourishment."

Cell sneered coldly, teleporting right in front of 18.

The needle-like tip of his tail suddenly expanded, becoming a giant sucker, and lunged at her!

’Game over... What do I do? What should I do?’

Panic and unwillingness filled 18’s heart.

But she had no way out — Cell was just too strong for her to fight.

Just as the situation turned critical, a calm voice suddenly rang out:

"Everyone, stop what you’re doing. I have a few questions to ask."

The voice wasn’t loud, but it clearly reached everyone’s ears.

Hearing it, Vegeta and Goku instantly separated and stopped fighting.

"Who’s there?!"

"Show yourself!"

Vegeta roared in anger.

How dare someone act mysterious in front of him? Were they tired of living?

"This voice... it sounds familiar..."

Goku thought suspiciously.

He felt he had heard this voice somewhere before.

Everyone froze for a moment, looking around for the source of the voice.

Only Cell kept moving — although he hesitated briefly, nothing was more important to him than absorbing Android 18.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a sharp sound split the air.

Just as Cell’s tail was about to touch 18 —

The next second, a figure appeared right in front of her, grabbing Cell’s tail with one hand.

And that calm voice spoke again:

"I said, stop what you’re doing. Didn’t you hear me?"

Then the hand that held Cell’s tail flicked up slightly — and with a mighty swing, slammed Cell into the ground.

"Who is it?!"

At that moment, all eyes turned toward the newcomer.

Anyone who could stop Cell at this critical moment was definitely no ordinary person.

Could Earth still have hidden Powerhouses?

That was the thought everyone had at the same time.

Then Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Krillin saw a familiar face.

"Cado!"

They all cried out in shock.

After seven months apart, Cado had finally reappeared!

It seemed he had finished handling things in the future timeline.

Even Android 18 glanced at him, a handsome young man standing tall before her.

"So it’s you, huh?"

Vegeta was the first to speak, his eyes burning with excitement.

He licked his lips slightly, a feral smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

He had waited so long for this day — finally, Cado was back!

"Awesome! Cado is finally back!"

Krillin cheered excitedly.

"So it’s Cado!"

Goku said happily, excitement flashing in his eyes too.

"Who are you? Why don’t I have your cells in my body?"

Cell climbed up from the ground and asked in shock.

Anyone strong enough to stop him should’ve been famous enough to have their DNA collected.

But this person wasn’t in his genetic database!

"I wasn’t talking to you. Shut your mouth for now."

Cado said coolly, glancing at Cell.

"Arrogant fool! Don’t think just because you caught me off guard that you can boss me around!"

Cell’s face twisted.

Android 18 was right there!

He was so close to becoming his perfect form.

He wouldn’t let anyone stop him!

"Oh? Is that so?"

Cado chuckled coldly.

Suddenly, it was as if the whole world froze for a split second.

No one else seemed to notice.

Cado didn’t move at all — but Cell was now half-kneeling on the ground, clutching his stomach in agony.

"When... when did that happen...?"

Cell’s eyes widened in disbelief.

He had no idea when he had been hit.

All he felt was a sharp, gut-wrenching pain in his abdomen, forcing his legs to give out.

Seeing Cell crumpled on the ground, Cado didn’t bother with him anymore.

"Hey, Goku! Long time no see!"

Cado waved up at the sky like greeting an old friend.

Goku immediately landed and bounded over to Cado’s side.

"Yeah, long time no see, Cado!"

"Uh... what happened to him?"

Goku greeted Cado, then asked curiously while glancing at the half-kneeling Cell.

Cell looked like he was in terrible pain — just a moment ago he was fine, what happened so suddenly?

"Ah, it’s nothing."

Cado shrugged.

"I told him to shut up. He didn’t listen. So we exchanged a few moves."

"I only hit him three or four hundred times... and he couldn’t take it anymore."

"Probably contemplating his life now."

Cado explained casually.

Although he was only speaking to Goku, everyone else clearly heard him too.

And their hearts were all rocked by a giant wave of shock.

"Th-three or four hundred punches?! Are you kidding me?! I didn’t even see anything!"

That question was burning inside everyone’s mind.

Especially Vegeta — when he heard Cado say that, he immediately shook his head in denial.

’Impossible!’

’You hit Cell three or four hundred times?’

’And I didn’t even notice?! Stop kidding yourself. Who would believe that?’

’But... Could it really be true?’
